Little side note about Proseka's energy system - it's not actually an energy system, it's just a multiplier that increases the amount of rewards you receive from a song. You can play as much as you want even with 0 energy.
Just wanted to add on to your comment. It's the same with d4dj as well btw, you can still play without energy even when you're full, energy is just for play session rewards. You even get the clearing rewards without energy in both of the games(like SS'ing for the first time or full combo'ing. Also, d4dj is *very* generous with it's energy refillers, so it really doesn't matter if you aren't going for being the first in an event (why)
Rotaeno's easily my favorite rhythm game released in a long, long time. Not only is it an extremely unique concept that's built for phones rather than tablets, but, in a rarity for modern rhythm games, even the harder charts, while certainly no pushover, still manage to have a good flow and are, most importantly, actually _fun to play,_ compared to most modern games where the top level charts basically amount to "here's a bunch of random notes coming at you at ludicrous speed lol git gud n00b". It's basically my go-to for when I just want to unwind and decompress, which sounds paradoxical when it comes to rhythm games, but it really does have a strange relaxing vibe that you don't get from most rhythm games these days.
To add more about gacha rhythm games the songs are always free and the free currency to buy them is always easy to get. You can completely ignore the gacha part of any of these games and still very much enjoy them. Ignore the scoring system and just focus on PFC's and FC's. Boosted scores from OP units doesn't mean shit but skill does :) Enjoyable video as always!
Sound shooting is honestly pretty good, it also kinda reminds me of ride zero (rest in peace). It’s honestly kind of surprising there’s not more rhythm shoot ‘em ups or rhythm bullet hells since every time they’ve been done they’ve come out pretty good. At least we have sound shooting and NOISZ
do you like Bullet hell games? Do you like rhythm games? are you an lgbt do you like madoka magica? do you like idols but not gacha games? then Oh Boy do i have a recommendation for You noisz starlivht is a 4k rg (with slide notes and holds that move) combined with a bullet hell that isn’t afraid to get super hard just because it’s a mobile game. it has 4 difficulties, with all except the hardest being thumb friendly. all the main story songs are free, but you do have to grind for them. You do get 12 full length songs (they’re all like 3+ minutes long!) right off the bat though. the way the game’s monetization works is you can get a “pass” for a song folder (which is associated with a character) which gives you 2 songs and gives you more exp gain in that folder. there’s also the event passes, which are for collab events (all of which have already happened). these are like 2 dollars and give you a song and an outfit for one of the characters. (they’ve collabed with adofai, maiden and spell, lame dimension, and unbeatable, if you like any of those) there’s also the superstar pass that gives you all of this for like 25 dollars the songlist is amazing, with a mix of original songs from artists like camellia, synthion, and nhato, and licensed songs from artists such as ak+q, akira complex, laur, and more it also has the original song “Images” by Getty also the characters are like suuuuper gay btw. its sapphic central over here. girls kiss very early in the story
Glad to see Paradigm: Reboot mentioned, its one of my favorite rhythm games at the moment and i really hope it can get more recognition in the english speaking community. Great video as always!
I play Project Sekai and D4DJ, along with Bang Dream/Bandori. I got into all three of these games because I'm a huge Vocaloid fan. I'm not very good at other rhythm games as all.
7:21 there are few names that can make me drop doing what I'm doing and check that thing out, and nanahira is one of them. So, time to check out that game I guess
Rizline is the first time that i have ever paid something digital and that was because i loved phigrOS and currently enjoying it. My friend was actually introduced me to otoshu last year but didn't really get far to it. I was actually waiting for Rotaeno then it disappeared in my mind.
here are some rhythm games that i have played and had some fun. Orzmic :plays similar to phigrOS Ravon :5×3 grid that plays similar to jubeat but there is also 6×4 grid for harder difficulty Overrapid :4k 6k mania game but with swipes the UI confuse me a bit tho Dancerail3 :similar to proseka maybe Takumi³ :im not even sure but its similar to dancerail3 Polytone :you tap squares 3d that comes to you like best saber and has quite a bit of songs but the touching in the game needs a bit of fixing. Cytoid : cytus but its clean and the maps are by the players. Protocol:hyperspace diver : not much maps but it was a lot of fun. They also made undecember Lanota: you must play on i pad since its too small for mobile Liminality: its like lanota but playable on mobile Malody : its like osu where there is mix of game modes like 4k, taiko, catch, and jubeat there is more mode but i haven't played them. RYTHNK : if piano tiles was better and is actually a rhythm game. Touhou mix:A touhou project M :its like dancerail3 if it wasn't 3d*
Thanks for the suggestions! I haven't tried Rizline yet, but the description of its control simplicity alone reminds me of RIDE ZERO (able to tap anywhere on the screen). I'll definitely check it out very soon. Edit: Never mind, it's not available on my region apparently. I have played both gacha/idol rhythm games mentioned. While the gameplay is the most impressive in this genre, I dislike the fact that the main focus is on the gacha and its story content. This means if you're a veteran and you have the best accuracy on a high level chart, your score will remain low simply because your team's level is low. However, this also means they are friendly towards beginners and most average players, which is a good entry point to get newer players into the genre easily.
I remember when IDOLM@STER: Shiny Festa was released on iOS. I paid $50 for a crappy port that involved my hand covering the screen, all because I wanted Bandai Namco to release more IM@S content stateside. It did not happen.
rotaeno is so fun!! its only a year old, but its already had collabs with wacca and now kalpa which is so sick :D it also has a really good selection of songs, so i’d definitely recommend it to anyone whos fine with paying for it
I'm a simple man, I see Rinku, I click lmao. I love D4DJ just because they have a lot of bangers in the original songs category and, ngl, one of my playlists consists of music made for the project, both in the cover and original songs department. I'm kinda a veteran player since I'm level 121 and I've been playing it casually since launch week lmao.
Sweet I didn't know sound shooting was on mobile, definitely getting that. Side note it would be cool if someone did a video on the rhythm games with the best soundtracks. It seems like the actual music is so often either not talked about or overlooked. The music is my favorite aspect of rhythm games.
paradigm reboot is one of my favourite games its like arcaea and maimai im surprised it not very popular. im thinking about getting some of the paid content the songs are also so good omg bro
@@ferry3245 Both NOISZ games are great, but ST∆RLIVHT is more of a rhythm game than the original is, which is more or less a shmup with a rhythm gimmick (which is still heaps of fun, mind you).

@@isovas_og Thanks for letting me know! I don't play D4DJ, so I didn't want to speak on it, but I assumed it was something similar.
fun fact: proseka is charted with chunithm's charting tool
I heard about this and i always find it hilarious
Not quite, but a chunithm custom chart editor!

I'm surprised you didn't mention tone sphere. It's a bit of an oddball, but pretty solid all around.
I had to
0:00 intro
0:35 rizline
2:19 paradigm: reboot
(3:46)4:06 D4DJ groovy mix and Hatsune Miku colorful stage
6:13 sound shooting!! (Otoshu)

I'd like to hear your thoughts on this game called Orzmic. It got only 50k downloads. But i thought it was pretty cool.
You missed Orzmic D:
Shouldve replaced prosekai
also highly reccomend NOISZ STARLIVHT
I'd recommend it over otoshu tbh. While they're both rg/shmups, there's something about how otoshu does it that feels... idk, lazy?
+1 for NOISZ, either the PC or the mobile starlight version
Their original songs are a banger

Cytoid (basically its osu but specifically for cytus 1/2)
I wish proseka wouldnt have the hold release judgement thing and wouldn’t crash every 10 mins wasted potential fr
My pjsk doesn't work I can't play normally
D4DJ is my favorite
Typical Yuri fan
The gameplay
The music
The song selection
