You just go in your subscriptions & just pick your favorite channels it will take more than a day to watch all of their daily uploads.. To answer your question Influencers loose their influence when they forget about who made them an influencer..Their following, You have some platforms with hundrads of comments and no response from the content creator, You have to engage your community platform no-one want to constantly comment,like,donate and get ignored.
Things are changing & fast. Basically grew up with the internet & I see this constant loop depending on your geographic location, of the same parties, beaches, exotic locations basically the "HYPE" -If you got the BMW or BENZ & post your daily life then you are seen as successful. But it's all fake because people quickly change tune when they hit late 20's then it becomes all Health & Fitness if not some page selling something to loyalist. I must say kudos to the paper artiste, car enthusiast, DIY tricks & render gurus of social media keeping things interesting rather than sexy people in their prime "living their best life" Lightroom "P R E Sets " makes everyone a Professional Photographer- but ask them to edit 1200 photos from a wedding or consistently retouch 15 images for publication. (one hit wonders)

Happened to watch this one after the recommendation from a fellow friend. Loved it. You ( Creators of ALUX ) guys absolutely nailed IT. Same applies to the influencer community as well. Once they lose the steam , it's very difficult to get back on track.
Empathy is a big factor of emotional intelligence. According to my research on human behaviour, one can increase their empathy by reading literature like Shakespeare. I personally find modern superhero movies do the job for me.
Check for their genuine engagement to know if they've bought followers/likes/comments. A simple rule of thumb is 10% engagement for a following of a couple hundreds to about 90k and 5% for 100k to 1M, and usually less for over 1M following.

I appreciated this because as an entrepreneur in the travel industry I found myself struggling under the pressure to post on instagram all the time, i eventually coined the mantra, "I am an entrepreneur, not an influencer" and this has really helped with prioritising things that need to be done. I like the idea of the "mediapreneur" instead because it implies longevity and not just influencing for the sake of it.
To me influencers lose their credibility when they don't seem fully knowledgable about the product they're promoting and it seems that they just prepared quickly to make a video.

The idea of “exampler” is basically influencing by displaying the lifestyle without giving away the brand name thus triggering discussion, speculation and eventually, participation. An example of this is someone with a high social media following and engagement, displaying an item, which has not yet been listed. The lack of information causes their fanbase to discuss among the community the impending announcement. Very similar to a Marvel movie trailer. I think that’s gonna be the future, being able to replicate the hype and announcement of highly anticipated movies and games.
New Media! I have been watching your videos and learning from the great content for some time now, but this is the first video that I thought I could add something of value to. I see the future of social media moving over to blockchains in an ever-increasing degree as the adoption of this new technology accelerates. Current projects such as Scorum and Steemit are struggling for a foothold at the moment and but new projects such as EOS's "Voice" will be launching soon with a much larger marketing budget. The next phase of adoption is likely to see a big move of current social media influencers into the more lucrative blockchain based sites where the trust issue is easily addressed by the community of users themselves. With blockchain technology, top influencers can reward as well as be rewarded by their followers, and products can not only be advertised in conjunction with their blog posts but sold on the platform with the native cryptocurrencies that are being earned there. Scorum, for example, is targeting the sports industry and all of the associated advertising, as well as event ticketing and promotional options. If successful any athlete and their sponsors could not only promote themselves, their products and their sport on a dedicated social media platform, but they could also develop a massive individual secondary cryptocurrency income stream from their fans that follow them on social media. There are many projects happening in the same way that social networks were showing up left and right a decade ago. It all depends on the competitive advantage and behavior improvements they can add to the users life. Facebook was the first one to get you to use your real name & have mass adoption. The ad model is flawed and we see something like steemit & rize as a viable competitor but they don’t have the audience size the limes of facebook and google. Existing big companies have a major advantage here. We’ll have to wait and see

I just came across this video and it summarize my thoughts about social media influencers perfectly because everywhere I look most people are doing the same thing or taking the same pictures, I'm a Trinidadian American living in Việt Nam and I especially see it here because it's cultural mindset of non individuality so everyone dresses the same and take pictures the same which often joke about with my girlfriend who is Vietnamese, I've also decided to RUclips about my life here in Việt Nam and have taken a completely different approach with my RUclips channel because I do not want to be just another travel blogger saying and doing the same things I see on RUclips on Instagram.
But what about the Vox/CNN/Universal blocking creators like Steven Crowder . I might not like everything he says but Multi- Billion dollar companies need to stop cyber-bulling! I can't believe RUclips is going with the money on this.

I worked with a couple of Instagram influencers for my clothing line and I quickly changed my mind not too long ago because I noticed that they do all look the same and all do the same thing. I can also confirm that recommandations from authentic people increased the sells much faster anyways. Authenticity is the key. Stick to it.

Wow this really got me thinking different today and better about my brand. Thanks Alux. The first influencer that came to mind that lost their credibility in my personal eyes was Nicki Minaj. Now I don’t personally know her, so she could honestly be a great person, but I didn’t like how she used her social media to verbally attack Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner. When her album “Queen” didn’t have higher first week sales numbers than Travis Scott’s album “Astroworld”, she lashed out and claimed that the couple used the fact that they had a baby as promotion for Travis Scott’s album causing him to reach number 1 for first week sales rather than her. Nicki’s brand once stood for the representation of quality content from the demographic of powerful African American women, but her actions set herself up to look like a player hater. I don’t feel it’s too late for her, but I think it’s still taking some time for her to gain some of the trust back from her supporters. It’s crazy how one bad action can effect on a long term spectrum.

New Media - Interesting concept. Any influencer is only as good as the products they represent. They need to be of high quality and satisfy my expectations. If so then I will share with my following, if not then time to move on.
New Media. I personally no longer pay any Attention to Toms hardware Tech influencers ever since they just told people to just buy Nvidia RTX cards before they could be bench marked last summer. They received allot of backlash and there was considerable transference of trust to the competitors that took them to task. They lost allot credibility in that community and do not top out google search in that world anymore. Intel is also currently suffering huge setbacks in the enthusiast and gamer markets at the hands of AMD. I agree that there is a huge shift in the influencer space. People now have more choice when researching product reviews and it is creating/breaking cultures of belief.

New Media. I personally no longer pay any Attention to Toms hardware Tech influencers ever since they just told people to just buy Nvidia RTX cards before they could be bench marked last summer. They received allot of backlash and there was considerable transference of trust to the competitors that took them to task. They lost allot credibility in that community and do not top out google search in that world anymore. Intel is also currently suffering huge setbacks in the enthusiast and gamer markets at the hands of AMD. I agree that there is a huge shift in the influencer space. People now have more choice when researching product reviews and it is creating/breaking cultures of belief.

I'm a mediapreneur and can approve of the title before watching the full video :D it's blowing more and more up. But death of social media influencers I dont think so, my mentor is a mediapreneur for influencers and it isn't dead.
