I recently got this and setup outside. I discovered that using various punpkins sizes works best so they each feel"unique". Also placing them a bit in front of one another or behind makes their faces appear different sizes adding again to the unique affect. Lastly they do not loose fidelity enough for the naked eye when being placed 3-5 inches in front of each other and at various heights as well.

No, the video suite will allow you to chose if your set up is for one pumpkin or three. If you chose three, it displays all three faces through the same projector, you just set up your pumpkins accordingly.
For front projections, I use heavy Styrofoam boxes (e.g., packing materials). Just place the projector inside the box (make sure you have enough ventilation), leave room for the light, and cover the box with a Halloween fabric or covering. Maybe put a lawn prop close to the box to hide it even more (if necessary).
I had the same problem. I had to switch out the pumpkin for a smaller diameter pumpkin so that I could move in closer to where the projection was naturally falling .
so i bought this projector and went to the site to get this DVD and they said "the minimum lumens should be 1800" but this one is like 125 lol. Am i missing something?
For the window effect videos (with a much larger surface area to fill) 1800 is definitely recommended. But for a small projection onto pumpkins you can use a much less powerful projector. As you can see, this small one is perfect for this effect, but it wouldn't be nearly enough for a full window display.
Will the files play one after the other automatically, or do you have to manually play each file..? Reason I ask is I have "The Witching Hour" on SD card, and those 5 files won't play consecutively. At least not on my Micca Media Player>Projector>screen. Although I have Atmos "Night Before Christmas" on SD card and those files play one after the other.
I have the DVD and yes, the files repeat automatically. I also use a media player for other video projections and can just set it to repeat automatically. I guess it depends on whether your media player has this function...all files should work the same way.
OK..I figured out how to fix it. The card has buffer files with each scene, and those files were stopping it from auto playing them all. I put just the MP4 scenes on a card by themselves, and now they all play. In case somebody else runs into this problem.
I guess it just depends on what kind of space you have to work with outside your home. For example, I have set this display up on the front lawn with the projector on a small hidden table away from where people are waking.

Sure, any projector should work. How far away will depend on the throw distance of your projector, but because pumpkins are relatively small, you will probably need to be within 10 feet. You should be able to use your surround speakers.

Six scenes in total: Two songs, two stories, two funny faces. Honestly some of the scenes are a bit short, but even though I try to add more "impressive" things to my Halloween display each year, the singing pumpkins are often the biggest hit with both kids and adults!

3M makes a number of similar pico projectors - I looked at a few but ultimately went with the aaxa for its size and brightness. Also, it was one of the few mini led projectors with an audio out port (very important) for a reasonable price.

Sure, as long as you can reduce the size of the image to fit on the pumpkins and still be in focus. Depending on your projector, this may or may not be possible.
If you are using physical media (e.g., a DVD) it will automatically loop. If you are using a digital file, there should be an option to loop on your device (computer, media player, etc.).
Great tutorial, I bought 3 pumpkins video from Atmosfx , just need a proper white background & 3 pumpkins to aim the projector and will hopefully look amazing
There is another video where a guy uses a 2200something lumen projector for this effect and even turned down to lowest power it was just too bright. I plan to use a mini projector for this effect. Cheap Amazon one that can sit outside.

How do you align the faces on the pumpkins? I seem to always have one turned inside and not facing the front.
