Leading and lagging concept is wrong. In the case of inductor, current is lagging hence it will start after voltage. And in the case of capacitor, current will start before voltage hence called leading. 😊
Current always lag 90° from voltage because of lenz law due to induced current opposes the initial changing magnetic field. In capacitance current lead 90° from voltage because in initial stage when current flow in capacitor starting voltage Vs become zero due to charges stored in capacitance & after Intial voltage Vs is equal to Capacitance voltage Vc then voltage flow.
