An amazing song is sung by an amazing young man. It seems like the judges just did not see that coming and there were all just "wowing" to hear such a song in such a young man.
I totally disagree, the music was pitch perfect, the singing was mediocre, the pitch was confined, the rhythm was off, the timing was off. if you want to cover the best french song ever, you need to do waaay better, bring your own twist. Again the music was perfect, I think the original piano still is best, if the original was made with mandolin, it would still have worked. The performer here took a great leap but sadly didn't make the jump. Still a very admirable performance.
