Not bad ... but you need to improve the leg work and the correct stance. Bow stance or horse stance are incorrectly made and too high.During bowstance, the back leg should be straight, which you forget about.Take a look at the video and you'll see what I'm talking about.Nice and I like what you do. It requires a lot of patience and strength and flexibility.Surely you are in good physical condition, better than many younger guys.Regards.
Nice set. Thank you for sharing it. I do a slightly different version and am looking for others understanding of the history of this practice routine to add to my own. Could you share where you learned it, from what system, and any knowledge you know of its history? Any information would be helpful, no pressure though. Just seeing a different version alone was nice.
I learned it from Yao Li at Boston Kung Fu Tai Chi. This is one of the foundation forms for Wushu. There are a number of forms that contain 32 movements. There are empty hand forms for Changquan and Nanquan as well as the main Wushu weapons like staff, straight sword, Broad Sword and spear. My Sifu went to train with the Bejing Wushu team after having studied Wah Lum in his youth. I'm sure his Wushu flavor had some of that mixed in.
Nice set. Easy to follow at half speed. 70 years old. Practicing for one year, Now. Thank you.
