@@JOHNDANIEL1 yeah that’s the one I see. 1 ac plug and it has “high output” ac terminals right next to it. It just didn’t look the same as yours so I wasn’t sure
Thank you, have been off-grid for 5yrs in a few weeks and inverters have been something I've struggled to afford (retired) bought 1500w pure s wave one on the recommendation of a youtuber shortly after buying this property and not only was the wave bazaar, but the thing died quickly and did not supply anywhere near 1500w, went without for a few yrs (mostly 12v appliances) till I bought a 1000w modified SN unit from a major car parts retailer which has been good for running a blender and glue gun and some other things, been looking for one of these in Australia since I first saw a video of yours and the 24v units are always out of stock here, followed your link and 24v units to suite my country are available, wooo hooo, this gives me the security that if my DC fridge dies I can get hold of a AC fridge cheap second hand and continue on now that I have switched to Lithium batteries and upgraded the total AH ... thank you!
I just ordered a swipower 24v 3000w inverter via your aliexpress link for $244.43 delivery and tax included...says 7-day delivery but the eta is 11/21/2022 so that is 14 days.....they (aliexpress) have a 1111sale so it received an additional $30 dollar discount,,,, so definitely a good price....for my off-grid South Dakota build....thanks....I hope it has the new upgrades you refer to in your videos....still working on replacing the roof in my 1840 to 1880 vintage farm house....hope the wind is nice to me today....as in no or low wind for the 2-story steep slick steel replacement roof...even with safety rope and roof jacks>>> the steep roof is a battle for this old timer....have a great day! 😎😎
You got a swinging deal. I asked Dora at SWI that if I put the link on the video if those who used it would get a side discount. Apparently its working. Awesome. I could get a $1.02 commission per inverter for link sharing the link they sent me, but now get ZIP for converting it to a discount but thats OK you get a hell of a bigger discount then I would have seen, I am just wanting us in the poor house to have better options over those who can just swipe and buy without fear. I must be honest, I did the work with Xijia to piss off another brand who blew me off and in turn made a great relation with Xijia and learned that even in China, you have folks who have pride and honesty as well as the others who have greed and dishonesty. Xijia has 2 designers in Japan I often spoke with and 3 in China who verified all the new steps. The economy here/there has now thwarted all new innovation so I am glad they got in new stuff before the downturn made it impossible.
John, Thanks again for the video. I'm hoping that Xijia will offer this updated inverter (3000W, 12V, two US receptacles, display on the top of the case) through a US source (Amazon, Ebay sellers, etc) and that you'll be able to provide an affiliate link soon. You deserve credit (affiliate link) for getting the word out, and Xijia will benefit from sales through a US retailer.
@@JOHNDANIEL1 Thanks, we bought it from your link, it should arrive soon. If it'll start and run my 120VAC 1/2HP well pump you'll be a hero. I've got 2 x 110AH 12VDC marine batteries, I may need to parallel another 12V car starter battery (or 2) to keep the input voltage up through the starting surge. Or, maybe not. We'll see if that Xijian "soft start" magic helps. Thanks again.
Thanks. Works great for me I use it to power my paint sprayer titan 440 that spikes at 1,050 watts while charging power tool batteries. I'm only limited by my alternator it's powered many tools, including miter saw, also fridge, tv ,lights, and other items during power outages.
The capacitors on the inputs of the HVDC supplies also benefit the battery system. There is a balance between cost and performance but 99% of these HF inverters have comparatively little capacitance here. The inverter actually imposes a fair bit of 50Hz/60Hz ripple current on the DC input to the inverter. Excessive ripple current ages batteries faster. Victron has a whitepaper discussing it. It's also important that the capacitors themselves are good quality low ESR types to get good service life from them. Being positioned right next to the transformers isn't ideal since they will be getting heated but its a compromise between the physical size of the inverter and having the capacitors as close to the power of draw, the switching transistors and transformers itself to keep the circuit impedance down. Basically you can't have everything in life, give with one hand, take with the other.
I just tested my CNswipower 3200 watt inverter. It worked great for the test I did. I hooked up my new 120ah batteryevo battery to it and tested it. Pulled 1200 watts for about an hour running an induction cooker on high at 1300 watt setting before the inverter shut off at 11.3 volts left on the battery, I never heard the fan run, not sure if it ever did. It has the nicer screen on it, according to my fluke amp meter it pulls between 1.6 and 2 amps when on with no load. I never saw it dip lower than that but maybe the meter just didn't pick it up. Pulled over 100 amps with no issue, I think the max was around 114 amps. Only had the one battery hooked up so I could not try to max out the inverter. I will try to once I install it in my solar trailer with my other batteries. I plan on recharging the battery and seeing how well it does pulling as close to 175 amps as possible, which is what the BMS is rated for on that battery. Will have to wait until the hurricane or storm passes, which ever it is when it reaches here, to charge the battery with solar. My Traveller inverter from tractor supply I bought 3 years ago is way louder than this one even at 150-watt load. I would not have bought that one if I wasn't driving across the country and the other pure sine inverter hadn't failed on me.
As your battery voltage drops you will incur a very slight increase to over 1.5 amps of idle current, ( ohms law - volts drop/amps rise ) but it is insignificant compared to all other models out there. A Victron that is over 2X the price pulls 3.2 amps under same conditions. Be sure to get over the full 300 amps of battery these all need to cover the max it can do and use 2/0 cable, up to 4.5 feet, 3/0 up to 8 feet, if you exceed the factory set of cables length. Use 1 awg between additional batteries as a minimum not 4 awg you see so many RV owners doing. I would recommend the TIME USB 140ah amzn.to/3EboDDh since it works deep like a traction battery with such a great BMS in it as additional power. For all who know weather is a pig, 3 of those and that 3200 inverter can keep your place running in hurricane conditions very well.
@@JOHNDANIEL1 I have 4 batteries in the trailer hooked up, this one will make my 5th. I just have to put it all together. Right now, I have 2 sets of 2/0 wire on the back of the inverter, about 1 foot in length, Which I think should give me up to 350 amps before getting hot for some overage if needed, but I could be wrong about it doubling the rating on the wire that way.
UPDATE: My current swi 3000w lcd has one outlet that stopped working and now the 2nd outlet is shutting off and on again randomly. I bought a 2000w lcd and it had a failed solder connection abd was shooting out sparks and smoke. They replaced it, but now I'm screwed on my 3000w as it was purchased 5 months ago and no return option. We will see what they say but I'm not happy.
I guess they just don’t make them like they youse too. j/k I think I’ll buy something else and not cheap out on this unit. One with transformers not ? moffits.
They have both options, the older style has many upgrades, but the LCD version is fully upgraded. So you have to look all though the 3000 watt options to catch it.
Keep up the great work of posting these detail video's. I'm just now seeing your outstanding content. You break things down so a child can understand. Which I think is awesome for young minds to learn as well. Just wanted to say thanks.
Great video! Just bought their 2000W inverter that is 48V. Hope it's upgraded like yours. Display in same place, intelligent fans and outlets on right side.
Thank you for this. I ordered the 2,500w. It was on sale for $211. I found a $25 Ali discount, so under $200. Communication with the company was great. It arrived 6 days before the estimated delivery time. To top it off, they sent me a 3,000w inverter. Looks like a quality unit. My only disappointment is that I have to mount it upside down to reach my battery. The screen is on the cover. Maybe it can be flipped. Edit: Can’t flip the cover, the wire is about 3” short. It would be a nice feature if I could. Lengthen the wire or put the screen in the middle.
If you have the space, install a hung slider drawer base to install it on with Temco 1/0 cable since it's a 3000w. Something similar to this add a drawer. amzn.to/3Vzktiz Just make it a open basket style. I have done this on about 10 RV's in the last 18 years. Popular is the Comp Slider amzn.to/3TOk0b0 you just put a solid plank with.
You can't find a 3000 w inverter that has double outlets on the link. The 3200 w inverter shows 2 outlets but when you click on the link for it, it only has one outlet
Click on the link, go to the 3000 with the LCD screen, check 12, to 48 volt. Them check 110-120 volt, then USA outlet. You'll get the right one with 2. The picture is just you showing the universal plug, but the one you'll get shipped is just like the one I'm showing.
Great improvements. Please consider suggesting via your many emails that the outlets for the inverter be GFCI.| Question: Will the UPS version have the upgrades shown ?
I just bought an ebike from MOSSENEBIKE on ebay. They responded to every question I had. Very nice and helpful and I got over 2000 miles on the bike now. I got the Lava model. Looks just like a Quietcat.
Love the video, very informative and amazing how you were able to work so closely with the company and effect so many changes. I'm strongly considering this inverter (24V version) for our off-grid cabin. How do you think this would do compared to a 2000W or 3000W Sungold Power LFP series (heavy low frequency unit) in terms of running power tools? I'm talking circular saw, high power woodworking router, table saw, etc? I notice you have both and have recommended the Sungold if one wants to connect a generator for battery charging. We might use that feature. But should we be concerned at the '
Brilliant! $590 Aussie. They offer 220v, 230v or 240v. & 50hz or 60hz. Next time I can dig up that kind of $, I'll be putting my hand up for 1 of those. Bargain compared to most & Designed by Poky to boot 👌
I have about 5 different Inverter brands that the companies handling them will listen, the rest are pigs! So when you get one to listen, from a installer, user input, then you can take what you know, build on it, then make it superior with simple fixes. SWI-Power Xijia was already great, now it's awesome.
@@desm5156 Cheers for that mate. The old kings 1500w struggles sometimes. Especially with a few upgraded conveniences. Doing its job ok. Was only $180. I / we (my dog) have a ex taxi / courtesy bus / home on wheels with 660w solar. Loving Van life @ Port Stephens NSW. 👍
Carefully chosen words are a better part of your profession. You have the ability to grab the attention of the viewer like none other. Great vid John! I would like to have your thoughts/opinion on my wind turbine and battery bank set-up. I've got a 700 square foot home on the front range of Colorado with two working turbines on my roof, and another turbine just got delivered today from China. For one solid week my turbines were producing enough useable DC power to operate my refrigerator, an overhead light, coffee maker, and a microwave. I have two brand new inverters that suddenly stopped working. I ran 50' ft. of stranded 12 awg copper wire from my inverters to the kitchen. The size, and the length of the wire used is my problem, am I correct?
Your power at 120v is fine in 12/3 cord, up to 150 feet from a inverter. If they fail its due to overvoltage most likely not your power cord from them. 12g stranded, @50 feet would only sag 1.12% in voltage, not a issue. But not knowing what your inverters high side fault voltage is, I can't say if your turbine settings are too high and in Colorado, WHOA NELLY you can get wind to make max power, and dangerous power.
@@JOHNDANIEL1 For real, after one connects the dots around solar basics, this is the sort of content one is looking for prior to selecting the components for the build. There's a lot of good content around solar basics. Still, when it comes to the expertise and experience required to provide invaluable real-world application information in regard to actual hardware in these devices that actually perform well in practice, you are on another level. Love the character too :) Keep up the great work Sir, big fan!
I don't do high frequency inverters I only work with low frequency inverters having well water welders and big motor's running molder planers and saws but the ac unit's sound like a good deal and the low frequency inverters would be good for a camper
You Gotta use what you need. I used the older one for 7 months to fill our ground tanks, over 3100 gallons on our well pump, only 1.47 horse 120v from the back of the Chevy with 4 GC2 batteries and it ran it and all the electronics just fine. The Advertising dollar spent selling low frequency has been effective for sure. Any pure sine, low or high will run the same things with no ill effects. My LG plasma TV don't run hot, or make any noises, and I run a 100 Amp Forney mig on mine building racking for solar, it can't tell the difference from it or utility power. Years ago when transistors were not buffered with good capacitors a low freq was the best option. My Sun gold are all low frequency. But it's only because they have generator connect and start.
Non-BS HF inverters can handle quite a bit of abuse but finding a cheap non-BS HF inverter is a bit of a lottery. knurlgnar24 found a winning MSW HF inverter that he just couldn't kill. View his channel if you want to see more about it.
Great video. Appreciate your efforts. Could you provide a link for the terminal strip you use to connect you watt meter? I'm having difficulties finding them that accept 8awg wire. Thanks.
Get them here, mega strip - ebay.us/6pjFfP . And you can cut them to sizes and count as needed. Will work from 4awg to 12 awg, I recommend solder treating the wires tips then inserting in it. Good for 100 amp, but stay under 80 for safety.

Thank you for showing this. I have ordered the 3000w and it's on the way. I see you instructed down below that a 300 watt fuse, be used with this inverter. I have a 230 watt solar panel that will be connected to a 40 amp EPEver tracer charge controller and then to the Swi Power inverter 3000. Would I use the same 300w ANL fuse Between the solar panel and charge controller and also between the charge controller and lead acid batteries? Thanks again for all your great videos!
Another great video, John! What is the warranty on these, who handles warranty and service for these in the US, can these be connected to a car/truck, via alternator/battery, for emergency home power? What would be the maximum size SWI inverter that could realistically be used with the average car/truck for power? Thanks again.
The average car/truck capability from any brand inverter is up to 750 watts unless you add additional battery capacity and maybe upgrade your alternator. 750 watts at 12 volts dc is about 50 amps. Just because your car/truck may have a 100 amp alternator it don't mean your battery can keep voltage up under constant loads. You can run a 5000 watt inverter on a car battery, just not past 1000 watts of its ability. 95% of first time inverter users get upset with the inverter not producing the claimed ability when they fail to understand you must be able to feed it the amps to get that claimed ability. Over half of inverter owners read less than 1/3 of the manual on the product. Swi-Power inverters have a easy warranty system, you just message them on Amazon, Ebay or direct at cnswipower.com site with your order number and purchase place info. They give a year product warranty, and a 90 day purchase/return warranty support to the place you bought it.
Thank you, John for the info. I ordered one from your provided ebay link. Do you know of any way to hook one of these up to a HF Predator 4000/3200 watt geny? Thanks! @@JOHNDANIEL1
the one thing I would really want on this inverter would be the lcd on the remote as well so you can see power usage in a remote area if you had the inverter in a tricky spot that makes the lcd hard to look at, then it would be a near perfect inverter
@@fkdeazevedo Not required or recommended on high frequency models and rarely on any of them. Best thing is not to ground them unless your running GFCI circuits. The #1 reason your utility is grounded is due to it being imported power, not created on site. Utility is exposed to numerous conditions requiring a ground to complete a circuit.
Good idea with the slider. I’m in a F-350 with a topper. Space is limited. I have a 200ah battery. Planning on adding a 2nd. About 3’ to 4’ run of cable to the inverter. Is 1/O enough? Also, can I replace the cable leading to the readout with a longer one. That would allow me to flip it over. Thank you.
1/0 is just in the full rating for 3000 watt, you can and should use 1/0 if your going under 3 foot but not over 4 foot. Go to 2/0 beyond 4 foot. Use a real 300 amp ANL fuse, not a cheap circuit breaker.
The larger heat sinks might be better off with the fins at a 10+ degree upward angle. It should create a better airflow between the fins and better heat dissipation overall.
They are stepped mass to force the heat drawn up away from the fets and right angle to get the most from air flow and keep the height of the inverter low as possible. Your describing free air wicking, and in some cases that is preferred.
Pretty sure more surface area is always better. Especially when it comes to heat sinks. The larger gaps would be ideal for a passive system, as it would need room for air to convect. But these heatsinks are fan assisted. So dense is better.
Great video and great improvement, I bought the 3200W because it was on sale at the same price as this 3000W, really happy with it. BTW, do you know if you can have Neutral and Ground bonding without damaging the unit? Thanks.
Do not connect them. They are floating. No inverter requires bonding. Only things converting mechanical to electrical need it, Most generators, power transmission lines.
Initially they would sell on price, then you talked to them so that they made some desirable "quality" improvements and, as a result, they get some great publicity. I like that - win-win.
They do, but I highly recommend the 2500 for just a few dollars more amzn.to/4hDd4aM though since it is the best efficiency of either the 2000 or 3000 and it has much better starting power for microwaves and tools. Plus a 2500 and 2 of the 100ah LiFePo4 batteries are a power to capacity perfect match. If you hurry you can get 2 of the TIME USB 100ah from Temu direct from the TIME warehouse temu.to/k/u4n8uf15j7z if you need batteries for them, just $130 each!!
The problem with those inverters is that they use a control board with sanded off chips, when they break down they cannot be repaired, it's then game over, maybe? do you know of any inverter that uses the EGS002 control board, they are only 4 dollars and very reliable.
Nice video. Looks like some good enhancement. Did they update the output short circuit protection? I was about to buy one of these until I saw review videos showing the inverter die instantly from output short circuit despite claim of protection against it.
Number one thing, DO NOT run install any inverter without a power strip with it's own circuit breakers. The ones in all Chinese inverters, including the real $$$$ money grubbing models, are not made for 60 hertz, none are. All are 50 hertz and 220v euro-china-russia volts. They tend to hang up. So get you a nice wally world power strip with a 15a set up, and use it on all and any of them for safer use.
Just bought a brand new model... light grey, Xijia branded instead of SWIPOWER, and it's DOA. Is there something I am supposed to do to make them turn on, besides hooking up to my battery? It's charging the capacitors (verified by measuring voltage at DC terminals after disconnecting leads) but just won't come on. And when using the remote, both LEDs light up on it. Guess I'll b exchanging it...
Mr Daniel’s a few years ago I purchased an SWI inverter 24 v 3000 watt based on your review it turned out I got the one without the changes you recommended to the company and I have been very pleased with its performance I have it mounted in a shed and I use it to run small power tools and an electric fence charger. I turned it on yesterday and it is ready the dc voltage coming in from batteries but has no 120 volt output. I have checked the fuses and they are all good do you have any suggestions to what I need to check and fix to get it working again?
I would check with the first stage mosfets on it. Possible insect got in it or moisture as a guess. The number one thing that fails in inverters is the resistors to the mosfet Gain and or some mosfets. Less likely is the control board, I had on 4 years ago fail due to a spider got in it.
Well sir, I appreciate your videos, and due to seeing this new inverter, I just ordered the 24v 3000 watt model. I hope it serves me well. It'll only be running my fridge, freezer and furnace and maybe tv electronics if needed.
I received my Inverter, and it's awesome, ran it all weekend and didn't even flinch. I really wish Swipower made a 24v 1000 to 1500 watt inverter w/ built in charger. Hello Mr. Daniel, I have a technical question regarding 220 volt requirements for solar power systems. I purchased the pre-upgraded Swi Power inverter 3000 watt for a 24 volt system to power my barn power tools. Soon I will update my 120 volt saw table to a 220 volt saw table. What modification would you recommend to power my new saw? Also, could you create a video showing a single solar power system providing 120 volt and 220 volt demands? Thanks for all your videos!
For large tools, use the SUNGOLD POWER 4000w Inverters a.co/dnSm8JX full list, SunGold direct gives a $50 off bit.ly/3ETweGr . You will just power both inverters from the same battery bank, and create 2 basic power services to items you will run on them. Never share the ground of the house wiring with the ground of any inverter! Run it independently.
@Јоhn Daniel what happens if you do? I have a victron inverter back feeding into a circuit in my house to run some things 'off' grid for dang near a year. some stuff needs that earth ground, like say a testla charger apparently(off grid garage)
Yes but when you go to the Aliexpress link, and check, be sure to contact them if it's not showing in the pictures as the newer model. The 3000 to 6000 models were all updated in July 2022 and forward.
I got the older style unit that you have there for $30 brand new, never used. How to I discharge the caps if I blow a fuse? Also, I have a model that says "48v", so I'm assuming that it will not run off of 12 or 24 volts? Thanks!
@JOHNDANIEL1 alright, thanks man. I'm interested in those Li Time batteries you did a review on, so I'll check them out. They seem to be a great price, and could easily last a decade. I'm more specifically excited about Sodium Ion tech in the near future.
In the video, In the first few minutes I post a pic of the exact new one circled, it's there on their site. I got mine sent as a comp for my work, and I will get a few more the 3200 and 4000 when they are updated too for my months of work. Not a lot of pay, but well worth it getting you guys to a better option.
Hi John, Mark R. is correct in that the picture/video of the one you circled shows that the display is on the side and not on the top like the new upgraded model has. Maybe they just used the old picture/video that they had from the old model. Hopefully you can get them to have the correct picture of the new model on the site. Thanks, Vince
Just got one of these 3000 yesterday and replaced. LF 6000. 1 quirk I've noticed right off is battery voltage on the inverter is much lower than the solar controller. On the order of 1.5v lower. Using 0 GA copper less than 3' feeding it. Any ideas?
One of the 2, or both, is sensing off. Normally the solar controller is sensing its incoming power that's against the battery, which shows higher by a few tenths. Or one or both is off in the curve of the 2. Inverters are reading voltage while drawing it, so they can be off by a few tenths too. Best thing is to always add a good voltage meter to any off grid or Solar/wind power system. Check it all against a accurate meter, then get a average to apply.
Is this product good? It's good that you are helping the company. By the way, how is the watt metter? Is it accurate? If I plug 10 watt light, will it show 10 watt? Or will it show 0 watt to 55 watt?
You have to get above the Full Power Ready On feature to get accurate meter reading, 30 to 35 watts. It is better than about 90% of other brands, and cheaper than about all of them.
john you need to a capacity tester video suggestions on say small and lager battery's i see i lot of video most in india or something and few in engllister
Hey John, I just got one of their newer 2000w 24v inverter. One thing that bothers me is that the display is showing wattages a lot higher than actual. Like I plugged in my watt meter and it's showing my the fridge is using 130w but the display is showing 172w. It's always showing 40-70 watts higher than actual. Is this is inverter loss or it's justa faulty display ? Their page is saying the inverter is 92% efficient so if it's the inverter power loss, its kinda high.
Due to a change into dual sensing DC and AC then a chip for the math to show on the display, all now have non contact sensing on these, most all brands now actually, the lower wattage reading is not totally accurate till you exceed the bottom 15-18% the inverters normal ability. The meter is a done this way to give you better mid to high end readings so you do not damage it. Older full shunt models were the opposite, shut would get hot, get lower accuracy the closer you got to the inverters "gonna blow up limit" the less accurate it would be. People would run their inverter (2000 watt as example) at 2000 watts on meter constant which in the older models pre-2018 would really be about 2250 due to lowered resistance on the pre-boost shunt style as they got hot giving less feedback (field of 75mv shunt). This caused ignorant people to blow up inverters and make warranty claims. If using a WATT METER from your inverter to load, remember it may be in lower readings also up to 2-3% off at its lower 15% ability too. Only when you spend the big bucks, lab quality stuff, do you get within 1/8 of 1 %.
How do I make sure you get your commission from a 3200w model from Aliexpress, if I use the link to the shop then choose the 3200w unit are you going to still get your commission?
Question: just installed Xiajia 2K watts inverter. Used 15ft long 4/0 cables into my truck. The resting watts on the panel shows 90w without load i.e. TV, microwave, rice cooker all turned off. Is that normal?
If you have attached a ground wire from it to the truck then this could happen but the best check is to use a amp meter inline to verify its not a random static fluke producing the reading. Resting should be about 9.0 watts, not 90! Some times if you power it up initially with something plugged in it will create a ghost reading, this goes for nearly all inverters, and the system will start reading high and until you disconnect and drain it down it can do this. Samlex and Power Brights are notorious for it too.

John,
Thanks again for the video.
They do, from Kathys Ebay store, their warehouse manager here. ebay.us/CWrOpk

I've got 2 x 110AH 12VDC marine batteries, I may need to parallel another 12V car starter battery (or 2) to keep the input voltage up through the starting surge. Or, maybe not. We'll see if that Xijian "soft start" magic helps. Thanks again.
@@markw2253 Well, how did it do?
Said Right!
Sounds like a sufficient wiring job. Be sure you check all connections for tightness a few times/cycles of heavy pulls so no loose cables show up.
Thank you for this - ordering one through your link.

Good stuff!! Well, now I know which inverter I'm buying next, just 24V. Thanks!
Glad I could help!

Would I use the same 300w ANL fuse Between the solar panel and charge controller and also between the charge controller and lead acid batteries? Thanks again for all your great videos!
The 300 Amp fuse is for the inverter. battery to inverter
@@JOHNDANIEL1 Thanks John, should there be a fuse between the solar panel and charge controller, if so, what do you recommend?
10 amps for every 120 watts rule of thumb. Main thing is do not undersize your wire.
They give a year product warranty, and a 90 day purchase/return warranty support to the place you bought it.

the one thing I would really want on this inverter would be the lcd on the remote as well so you can see power usage in a remote area if you had the inverter in a tricky spot that makes the lcd hard to look at, then it would be a near perfect inverter
I know it is posable because you can use the poe protocol to send both power and data to the lcd within that one cable.
Hi John, I have the same inverter is the neutral and ground bonded internally?
No
Can i ground the inverter to my grid panel ground source ?
@@fkdeazevedo Not required or recommended on high frequency models and rarely on any of them. Best thing is not to ground them unless your running GFCI circuits. The #1 reason your utility is grounded is due to it being imported power, not created on site. Utility is exposed to numerous conditions requiring a ground to complete a circuit.
Thanks for asking this question for me I needed to know. Should have been covered and explained but maybe beyond the scope of the video.
So I've got a question. Do you like the new version of the 3000 better than the 3200 ?
Still prefer the 3200 for permanent installs, the 3000 for mobile use. Both are good solid workers.
Great video John, just found ya. Would you recommend the Redodo 300ah 12v battery, cause 200ah wont cut it, not enough juice.
Yes, I would. With the bigger BMS
Check the specs on 10/11/2022 now newest from Redodo, it may fit your needs shrsl.com/3r6e0
I just bought the SWRI is it safe to wire into a breaker box and ground it out with the neutral wire
Initially they would sell on price, then you talked to them so that they made some desirable "quality" improvements and, as a result, they get some great publicity. I like that - win-win.
...appreciate your tutorials and am just about sold on their 2000w unit. Would you know IF the 2000w has similar Upgrades to the 3000w ? THANK YOU
They do, but I highly recommend the 2500 for just a few dollars more amzn.to/4hDd4aM though since it is the best efficiency of either the 2000 or 3000 and it has much better starting power for microwaves and tools.
John, would the 200W version of that SWI Power inverter with the top-facing screen have the upgrade mods also or do you know? Thanks.
2000W version, my bad.
Yes, they are the same new builds.
Has the manufacturer upgraded the other models ?
The problem with those inverters is that they use a control board with sanded off chips, when they break down they cannot be repaired, it's then game over, maybe?
do you know of any inverter that uses the EGS002 control board, they are only 4 dollars and very reliable.
Looking at the 2000w, can bluetooth be turned off or disabled?
I didn’t see the part number down below for the newer one. Please help me out, great video.
The links lead direct to it.
Is the inverter on the link page for $284.90 the latest model that you recommend?
Go back, look close on the 3000 models for the one with the LCD screen, thats the one. Should be about $300 even.
@@JOHNDANIEL1 Thank you very much I just got to learn what a mosfet is

Well sir, I appreciate your videos, and due to seeing this new inverter, I just ordered the 24v 3000 watt model. I hope it serves me well. It'll only be running my fridge, freezer and furnace and maybe tv electronics if needed.
Yes it will
I received my Inverter, and it's awesome, ran it all weekend and didn't even flinch. I really wish Swipower made a 24v 1000 to 1500 watt inverter w/ built in charger. I found one in ebay but it says its out of stock and can't find it elsewhere. Thank you sir, keep it up. Hope those coffees came in handy!

Are the 24 V inverters high-quality the same as the 12 V?
Yes, 12 to 96 volt DC input are all upgraded unless listed as a older model.
When I used the link to aliexpress provided in your video, the picture only show the older model with one outlet with a hardwire output below it. Where can I find the new model you reviewed?
It will be in the other items the store there has, just look to the lower mid left, it will have a products list, pure sine inverters, 3000 watt, click on it, it will give numerous option including the new models.
@@JOHNDANIEL1 OK, Thanks!
@Јоhn Daniel what happens if you do? I have a victron inverter back feeding into a circuit in my house to run some things 'off' grid for dang near a year.
some stuff needs that earth ground, like say a testla charger apparently(off grid garage)
I installed a renogy 3000 I inverter. Terminals were too small for 4/0 gauge ring terminal. Had to dremel it. No on board fuses. Pathetic
Have they done same upgrade for 5000w version?
Yes but when you go to the Aliexpress link, and check, be sure to contact them if it's not showing in the pictures as the newer model. The 3000 to 6000 models were all updated in July 2022 and forward.
I got the older style unit that you have there for $30 brand new, never used. How to I discharge the caps if I blow a fuse? Also, I have a model that says "48v", so I'm assuming that it will not run off of 12 or 24 volts? Thanks!
If its a 48 volt that is the voltage, anything else will blow the caps in it and ruin the transformers.
@JOHNDANIEL1 alright, thanks man. I'm interested in those Li Time batteries you did a review on, so I'll check them out. They seem to be a great price, and could easily last a decade. I'm more specifically excited about Sodium Ion tech in the near future.
I went to the website and ity still shows the old model 3000w inverter.
Slip around in the pages and you will find the new 3000
In the video, In the first few minutes I post a pic of the exact new one circled, it's there on their site.

Did they make the upgrade changes on the 24volt model?
Yes, 12,24 and 48
Just got one of these 3000 yesterday and replaced.
@@JOHNDANIEL1 Full Power Ready On.... Is that a brand?
It's a status to save power while not in use but on and ready.

@@JOHNDANIEL1 Does the display just show the VA i.e. is this a power factor issue ?
How do I make sure you get your commission from a 3200w model from Aliexpress, if I use the link to the shop then choose the 3200w unit are you going to still get your commission?
@@johnussss I think so. At least half their standard they offer. Get it, you'll like it.
