  • It has been bone dry here to wrap up the summer months in Eastern PA. We haven't had a steady rain in weeks and today we are out her fixing our water situation to the pigs.
In recent weeks, our ram pump which is the primary supply of water up into the pasture, has gone a bit finicky on us as the creek bed has dried up a bit. This has led us to hauling buckets by hand which if you've never done is a real pain! Today we carved out some extra time to figure out what's going on and see if we can get this thing working again.
We'll show you the makeup of a ram pump and explain somewhat how the magic happens as these pumps do not require electricity to operate, making them a very effective piece to your farming setup.
    Thanks for watching!
