Quite a difficult operation with a rear slider as my Outback 210RS. The slider extends approximately 4 feet out the back. To retract the slider you end up on your back, on the floor, with the slider closing the lid of your coffin. Some fun!
My Cougar has the mechanism shown at 3:55. But unlike the one shown here, where the slide expands at right-angles to the person, my motor is mounted to the wall above the slide and the slide moves towards me, pushing me and my drill away from the motor until we are separated by more than a yard! How is this function supposed to be usable? They don't make flex shafts that long, and even if they did, when I need to extend the slide, I'd never be able to place the bit into the motor from four feet away!

Excellent video. Thank you for posting. We have a 2017 38ft Keystone Hideout and the front and rear slide outs stopped working. The front slide out will go out but not back in. When I hit the switch for in, the motor doesn't even come on. The rear slide out wont go out or in and when I push the button, nothing happens either way. Is there something I can do on my own before taking it to the dealer? Anyway, your video was spot on. Once I located the override, I had them in in just a few minutes. Thank you!
I have a 2004 thor hurricane class a 32ft. The slideouts won't move. The old owner said getting the slides to work is like a puzzle. On what buttons to push at what time. Rig on or off? Chassis button on or off? Both keys turned on at same time? Checked all fuses they are good, b atterys are all new? How do I cranking my slides I have 2. No mechanism under the little one just the big one do they work together I'm so confused I can't find a manual anywhere to teach me how to do this. Thank you
How do you get the dinning room pop out section on the back right side from the goose neck hook up, to pop back in to travel with 5th wheel pop out camper???

Good morning, we are showing that model should have a Norco cable slide system. You can find the motor most likely, at the top of the slide system, behind the cosmetic slide fascia block up top. This block should be in the center of the slide box on the interior, once you take that down, you'd expose the motor to perform the override as outlined in the video. I have a 2002 sprinter with the Dewald hydraulic pump, I know how to manually close the slider but don't know how to manually open and I really need to know. It does not have an actuator either. Any help would be very appreciated

Since I bought this unit new in Jan. I have contacted the dealer and they are going to cut the hole in the underbelly to expose the slide motor and then supposedly give me what tool/s I may need if I ever had to crank it manually. Silly place to put it to begin with!!
Thanks, my 2020 keystone outback 335 cg is wired terribly and all of the electric things routinely fail every trip. I will never buy a keystone again. I just can't believe a 3 month old rv could be this horrible to own.
Good morning, cable slide systems have been used in the RV Industry for many, many years. They are very dependable and because of the placement of the motor, it's easier to access to make necessary adjustments. We would recommend following the Norco manufacturing instructions for how much slack is acceptable etc... and for adjustment recommendations. You can search online for a Norco cable slide out system manual or reach out to our retail team, and they can send you one for free! They are open Monday - Friday at 1-866-425-4369. Thank you.

In talking with our service team, we can say if your slide chain is broken, then you won't be able to use this method to retract your slide. The chain would have to be repaired on site or the slide itself would have to be physically pushed in. You'll have to reach out to your dealer or the manufacturer for a recommendation. Pull the switch panel out and check to make sure a spade connector didn’t break off from the slide switch- it just happened to me.

Brother has a 2012 keystone Springdale slide isn't working and need to know how and where to override system. Model number 246r?

How dependable is the cable slide? How loose can the cables be before it is an issue?

My camper slide out has a crank almost like a car jack that goes up and down and only pulls the slide-out in. There's no override to pull it out.
Switch the hydraulic lines at the pump and jack it, it will extend
i have a weekend worrior n the slide put wont come out cuz the chain is busted but its my first rv n know norhing about it so what do i do????😭😓

I found the flex shaft zip tied to the slide out motor but there isn’t anything on the motor to attach it to. Just a threaded hole. WTF Keystone!

Keystone campers are NO GOOD! They leak water and fall apart. Do your self a favor and NEVER buy one.
This is ridiculous. The only thing missing in this video is CPR instructions... assuming someone see's you going into cardiac arrest!
