The music for the first encounter of Spamton is really slick, with this catchy motif, much like Megalovania in Undertale. Outside of the rap vocals, there a two main A + B phrases. Like many of his tracks, toby fox's style is to repeat them ad infinitum while messing with the underlying rhythm, and sprinkling flourishes and other fun stuff here and there. So in my orchestrated version, I thought it'd be a challenge to see if I could preserve the phrases intact and use them in differing contexts. The phrases show up as background rhythm, or the main melody, or even just as a counter melody. Whereas the first half follows the flow of the original track, after the vocal rap, I change up the baseline so there's a more of a music progression. Our first encounter is more lighthearted, but the arrangement hints at a darker reunion somewhere down the line (if you choose to go that route!) and Spamton's desperation comes into further light.
The section at 1:40 was the first idea that popped in my head. It's like I could go to a band and just start off playing this, and all the other musicians could easily jam along, and improv to their heart's delight. The B phrase is really familiar sounding and I believe variations of it have shown up in lots of places. Playing this theme with orchestral instruments was tricky because immediately sounded a lot more messy and muddled compared to the punchy original. I didn't want my orchestra to pile it on or it'd end up really similar to what I did for Megalovania. I used a larger ratio of solo patches to try to mitigate that, and used only a drumset for percussion, and the occasional cajon for flavoring. Also, I was coaching my friend on how to replicate the vocal of the original track, but he kept coming off as aggressive rather than silly, so I just rolled with it. LOL

@@anotherbrick please ask The Second Narrator to do a voiceless version of this cover. No offense to you personally, but about half of us really don't like the vocal segments. Your voice doesn't really fit Spamton's, and it just kinda drags the quality of the piece down.

I love your work, and you did an awesome job on this!! I've been following for some time now. I feel like I am going insane, but I swore you made an Attack of the Killer Queen cover and I listened to it dozens of times, but I see that's not on your channel. Was it deleted or was that just some fever dream I had?? I just feel insane right now lol!
Edit: Okay, it turns out I am insane, I just got confused it with your Smart race cover!! I think I kept remembering the Queen motifs in it and misremembered it as the Killer Queen track. If you are planning on it, I am looking forward to the real attack of the killer queen orchestration!

tbh, i personally think its PRETTY hard to orchestrate Spamton’s theme since it mostly revolves on very “technology” based instruments, along with how it glitches constantly. its honestly very interesting that you manage to make this while still keeping the main core of the song there (the glitching) bravo mate.

On seeing this thumbnail, I was really wondering how you could even go about replicating Spamton's personality through this genre. Turns out? Yeah, guitars. Guitars were the answer.
I don't think I've ever heard big brass paired with that instrument before- but you really couldn't have hit it home much differently short of syncopated intermediate chaotic piano smashes honestly.
I feel like this arrange is somewhat more sinister than the original. I like it though, since Spamton's motives in this battle are literally KROMER KROMER KROMER!

Since Spamton takes over the Queen's Mansion during the Alternate Route of Chapter 2, you could say that Spamton managed to *orchestrate* the events of the Route into his favor
I really like what you did with the 2 main melodies here, and the piano segment at 1:47 is some great stuff, wonderful job on this arrangement!

P.S: Someone said, it's like the genocide one in Undertale, but I don't played it. Not because it's emotional or something, just bosses are the same like in the original playthrough (no new ones, I mean). And since I've completed all Chapter 2 bosses without healing and buffs, I guess it's no big difference to play original route or weird one.

At least, for me. I want only gameplay content, if it requires becomming a moral downfall. Undertale gaves that, Deltarune doesn't. So, I guess, I'm still peaceful and friendly player to whole plot...

I really like what you did ! I see a lot of orchestration of [Big Shot] but Now's your chance to be a is really underrated and forgotten. I really like the percussions and I think that voice is perfect for Spamton.

As it turned out, one of Spamton’s failed advertisements was for a knock off music program.
Song was really good! My only complaint was the voice. It didn’t really work, and just made me laugh. Still, the rest of the cover was fantastic. I enjoyed the guitar at the start, really fitted the mood. Pity there was no stand-in for the chip tune that usually kicks in at around 0:17. Awesome work!

This is such a [BIG SHOT] cover! I love it, the unique build up, the piano solo, and the backing instruments under the main repeating melody keeps it from being boring. Awesome as ever! The less robotic vocals also fit the orchestra style, too, wow :O The dissonant phone ringing is also really good!
Second Narrator always produces some of the highest quality orchestral pieces for me, and this one is no different… it only makes me dream of when/if they’ll do Pandora Palace, Vs Queen, Knock You Down!!, and others…
Oh, and how could I forget? Can you imagine just how hard hitting and impactful the orchestral hits will be when he does Big Shot? Here, they’re already powerful, I predict chills XD
I don't react often to your videos, but I'm a big fan of your work, I love the rearranged songs and your unique twist on each of them, which makes the song feel both nostalgic and refreshing.
It's an unique twist in the melody that really is your own kind of twist, and that's what I always like about your remixes.

I’m of a mind that any cover of Stanton’s theme should cover the vocals as well as the music. That little bit is the extra mile that elevates the cover- it adds unique flavor, especially here, where your vocal cover is operatic. Well done!

Okay so this is awesome. Like super duper cool stuff going on here. Not exactly versed in music theory yet so I can't lay out specific things but that part from around 2:00 to the point where it loops is probably my favorite.
One thing I like is that the overall color of the song is different. The original kinda sounds like Spamton's trying to be cordial to you (which he is), but you can tell there's something shady about him. You can hear it, but you're not quite sure what's off.
Here, that toxic sludge underneath is coming out. Like rather than being put off by him, he's really gotten under your skin and is crawling around in there. If that makes any sense. Like he's obviously up to no good.

Your arrangements are so beautiful and have so much thought put into each one, it's absolutely awe inspiring, and hard not to love. It certainly doesn't help that I'm already a massive orchestral fanatic Haha !! Cannot get enough of your work, and I love hearing every single take of yours; I'm really excited for your other orchestrated deltarune tracks in the future!! Actually, I will prefer "Minus one songs" (really? Dictionaries don't have a one word for this term? Well, it has: "No vocals") over this version, but damn, your non vocal arrange (and parts) are good!
P.S: Though I like the original voice-lines, I also love (check the difference with "love" over "like", yes) your originality and seeing of scene for music itself. It's a talent.

Finally a new track, I waited a bit for it. But one of my favourites is Attack of the killer queen. I don't know if Spamton really says that at the end of the fight or if you added this phrase but "Don't forget to subscribe and press the like button !" really fits with him.

By the way, once this encounter happens, it's already too late for the other route since it doesn't happen there.
Once again, The Second Narrator has the *best* interpretations of Toby Fox’s music aside from Toby Fox himself.

Forgive me for being frank, but I think you kinda missed a chance to really drop a beat. Especially, say, the piano riff. I liked that part, but I think you should have transitioned the same melody with heavy brass or something. Regardless, great piece! Keep up the good work.

Excellent orchestration! Strangely enough, you know what I thought of in the middle of listening? Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links. It has a ton of grand and fantastic sounding pieces that I love, and this can fit in real well with them. So good!
