Wonderful! Now I am listening the 3rd time, and may do a couple more! I am listening to every version of this that I can find, some deserve multiple plays, I will be back here. Of course fine players twist the nuances at the expense of the music, and fine musicians twist nuances at the expense of other nuances, BUT this is the most balanced and beautiful that I have heard yet!
My local classical station, KLEF in Anchorage, played this piece today while I was driving. So delighting to hear, I had to write down name, composer and who transposed it to guitar {the recording today, was also on guitar}. A wonderful rendition you've performed here, with terrific quality as well. Thanks for sharing your talent!
Hi Fiona !! Very lovely playing again and recording sounds natural. How long have you been playing guitar? sounds like from when you where very young but I just wondered. Really enjoyed all your playing and recordings also your choice of music.
Beautiful playing. The last time I heard this piece of music was when it was played by Anres Segovia i the 1970's. I think your perormance has more warmth.
@@ericmokotoff Exactly..., he did not record this or almost anything by giuliani. Segovia only recorded the Allegro con spirito of Sonata op.15 and very few studies, he despised Giuliani's music. Cheers Eric
Mauro - not Mauri. Don't know much about Classical Guitar? He was a guitar music composer (27 July 1781 - 8 May 1829) and is one of a small group (Carcassi, Carulli, Sor, etc.) that is in every classical guitar collection music book I have ever seen. But a Wiki or Google search could have said this better than me.
Ah, I see you have a sense of humour bypass Larry: my comment was a rather weedy joke based on the fact that "Mauri" reads a bit like "Maori" - Maoris being native to New Zealand [but a Wiki or Google search could have said this better than me]. Had you read my previous comment [below] you might also have noticed that - hardly surprisingly - I am familiar both with the composer and the piece in question.

I fell in love with the harmonious blacksmith 40 years ago. Such a pleasure to listen to these variations performed with style and accomplishment.
Thank you so much!
Well done!! Always love Guitar 🎸 ❤️
Just wonderful. Thank you.
Thank you too! Glad you enjoyed it.
Such a classy player who puts everything into her playing with such ease and perfection. So intelligent and soulful. Thanks for the upload maestra
You may not at 1st see that her showmanship, sense of being a performer presenting a performance for us, is as skillfully refined as her musicianship.
Thank you Clyde
What a beautiful performance.
Very nice! You have me rethinking my interpretation of this piece. I'm going to start working on this one again. Well done!
Sounded Great. Really enjoyed it. BRAVO!!!

Simply, a giant guitarist.. That's all. Thanks for uploading.
Beautiful performance by a beautiful lady. Excellent!
This is my favorite performance of this piece, outstanding interpretation and phrasing
Thank you so much Eric. I would have said so earlier - I mis-placed my RUclips password!

So good music 🎶 ❤
So honest and pure. I love your playing!

Very clean and easy. Good tone production, dynamics. Awesome performance, I really enjoyed!!!
A fine performance of a beautiful composition.
It’s probably the best interpretation on RUclips. “Fine” is an understatement.
words fail but wow and beautiful are two that come to mind.
i salute first to the composer and second ..player..really damn good
Nice timing, very precise. Beautiful version ;-)
Amazing !
Lovely playing Fiona and a piece I really like also [one of Giulio's two favourite Giuliani works]

Thanks Paul. I played the Grand Ouverture just recently (Oct 2021) and found Giulio's wonderful playing...
Very beautiful.

Giuliani's op 107 by Segovia??? Hummm
@@umovilac Why not - Segovia played a lot of Giuliani's works?
@@umovilac i never heard segovia play this in all his records
@@ebbenielsen7 A lot of Giuliani's works??? Only the first mov. of sonata op.15 and very few studies... You should get better information. Cheers

I wish I understood this! Hope it's something Nice!
PS Who's the Mauri Giuliani mentioned onscreen? Is he the one from New Zealand?
