This video doesn't feel real, like it's something I shouldn't be watching. That doesn't dismiss the absolute lengths you went to just to ride around an entire metro area for 2 days straight! Amazing video East.
Bro why is your editing so good?? Also, I cant imagine how painful this was for you. Props to you. My line is the providence line that parallels the North east corridor!
Great to see someone make all the stops on the Purple Lines. Sorry my home line (Fitchburg) doesn't have amazing views. Also, at around 13:15. You waited to use the bathroom at North Station. Did your train not have a restroom? Those double decker trains have restrooms in them usually.
All the Stations: Boston Edition. Anyway I'm high-functioning too and my favourite thing is roads. And trains to an extent but it's not as bad as with highways which can be really interesting.
Okay hearing the way you pronounce Haverhill is setting my bones to attack mode. It’s pronounced ‘Haverull’ the 2nd h is silent and it’s a u sound instead of the i that’s actually there
And that’s what happens when you bring a New Yorker into Mass with all the weird town names haha. Probably should’ve looked up the pronunciation of all the places I was visiting with all the time I had on the trains…
@@eastmountainfilmsa New Yorker, and yet you’ve ridden the commuter rail more than literally anyone I know and been to towns I still haven’t visited to this day. I think you’ve earned the title of Bostonian lol
Unfortunately, running diesel trains on electrified tracks isn't just an MBTA problem. Since 2018, MARC in Maryland has been doing it to between DC and Baltimore after a pricing dispute with Amtrak over the cost of electricity. I really hope this mess gets straightened out before the cost of diesel skyrockets again, leaving Maryland taxpayers on the hook for a massive fuel bill or possibly even massive service cuts on the critical Camden line between Baltimore and DC. Also, seriously, MBTA, who thought running diesel trains when electric power is already available, was a good idea? Have fun paying massive fuel bills, Maryland, and Massachusetts taxpayers when the Middle East finally completely destroys itself in a nuclear war and sends the price of oil to some insane level. Demand better from your state and national government. Electric trains for all, just like India, are doing jai hind 🇮🇳
Haven't watched the whole thing yet but this is absolutely brilliantly put together! I went and attempted the same a couple of years back (ruclips.net/video/Lqat30Pk-kU/видео.htmlsi=OqHgQ4e-EgMTi5L3 - if you've not seen it before anyway!) though I made a bit of a mess with the actual Guinness criteria side of things. Yours looks so well compiled though and I really hope it gets verified by them! Huge congrats!
Yes, I have seen your video! You’re definitely the inspiration for why I decided to go for this attempt and to try to satisfy the Guinness criteria for the record. There was a ton of work behind the scenes not shown in this video to ensure I tried to adhere to GWR’s guidelines so here’s to hoping they accept the evidence. I did get assured that any time over 36 hours (the minimum) would count thankfully.
@@eastmountainfilms I think the nature of mine being a one man mission kind of set me up to fail, but that's entirely my own doing and the reason it wound up more like a charity fundraising special with a 2-hour feature film! I genuinely never thought I'd see the day that someone else gave this a go - riding around on trains non-stop for one entire day is long enough, but the necessity of doing two back-to-back days is absurd to almost everyone! Do update us if this gets verified and set - ridiculously proud of you either way!
Update: Guinness approved the record! It’s official!

Dude….what an accomplishment. Well done, and awesome video! I was captivated the entire time!!
Thanks!!

I’ve had the exact same thought of doing this before because I like trains too. But now I don’t have to because you’ve done it for me
Service to Fall River is expected to start in spring 2025. After that happens, somebody will get to make a new speed run attempt...
Good to see you still doing RUclips stuff East

I’m afraid of the commuter rail bathrooms lol
Absolutely marvelous effort here. Well done sir!
THIS GOES SO HARD!! amazing work, dude 🎉
Great video! I'm also in Boston but haven't had the pleasure of exploring the entire commuter rail network...
Hello, Plaid shirt guy at Readville here lol. Footage is in my latest Readville video
Fantastic. Just wait until Fall River and New Bedford come online.

Bring a new yorker to mass and this is the mess you get 😬
I Like Railways :)
Incredible! FYI, Haverhill is pronounced “HAY-vrill”

crazy face reveal
This is crazy!!!
All great adventures should start at a Wendy’s well done
Did you get a Guinness world record
hold on i want to do this too, but i have to ask how much it cost
isnt a 1 way zone 8 ticket like $25?
He probably has a monthly pass which allows you to ride any line as well as the subway/bus unlimited times.
I used the daily flex pass set to Zone 10, it was by far the cheapest way to do this even though you waste 3 daily tickets
I like trains.
hard ass video love from china
143 Stations total.
W east

You're cooked lil bro just wait till I turn 18
DAMN
Wait, America actually has trains?
Mostly on the east coast
i actually did the walk from kingston to plymouth. was not worth. not worth at all.
Glad I didn’t do the walk then! Otherwise I think half of this video would’ve been ranting at the camera about how car dependent america is…
