It's really great to see so many foreigners enjoying life in China. In China, everyone only needs to do three things: earn money, take care of the family, and enjoy life. We don't need to oppose the government, because the government manages everything very well. I wish you a happy life and enjoy every good time in your life.🤞🎊
Winning Melissa! My wife and I are weirdly thrilled you're okay. Now go and thrive! Enjoy Shanghai in spring, by far the best time of the year to explore.
Haha, finally I am on front row. Love your music choices and your life style. I love coffee shops and people watch, inexpensive yet super relaxing. I will go to China in the fall will definitely check out a few places you visited.
Nice vlog and update. Wish you a speedy recovery! Just a suggestion, you're in the land of acupuncture, and it is supposed to be great for hand numbness those & types of injuries. Maybe it's worth a shot?
You two kids, having all the fun in the market on your scooter. This is so beautiful. What a nice time it seems to be. What a nice ride too! Thanks for the health update. I greatly appreciate it.
So glad you’re okay and the bloodwork came back okay. I will keep you in my prayers that the biopsies come back good. I loved coming along with you two on a drive through the countryside, so pretty. Also I love how you can find so many vegan options there, I would’ve never guessed.
Thanks for another beautiful video. You know it's a sunny day when all families bring their bedding out under the sun. I still do it here is SF even though we've been in the States for almost 40 years.
Very nice, the country is beautiful. Do you guys plan on taking driver license tests to drive a car? Happy that you're okay. I know I shouldn't, but I sprinkle sugar on my strawberries. I want to learn how to make that one snack, Tanghulu Strawberries, looks so good.
So happy for you it turned out to be fine. just came back to Shanghai today, I am gonna spend some time to visit the restaurant, coffee shop and shops you put in your video, thanks for your reccomendation
Shanghai is at the top of my list of places to visit, and I think this vid convinced me I need to try and plan hehe. I was deciding bt Shenzhen and Shanghai when I was planning my China move so I gotta see what I'm missing!
Glad to see you are getting better! I just found this channel today and spent about 3 hours watching most of your videos. As a Chinese international student here in California, I feel strongly connected to your adjustment experience when you first arrived in China. Here in the US, I learned to calculate the total price in the market, lol. I love your attitude when facing changes; it somehow made me peaceful and relax as well. Wish you explore more in my home country, I just hit the subscribe and expect to see more of your adventure! ps: I found an account with your name in Bilibili as well, is that one yours?
Oh wow! Thank you so much for subscribing and taking the time to watch my videos. That means so much to me!! Isn’t it funny how no matter what the situation if you are new to a country we all have similar experiences. 😊 and yes! That’s my Bilibili haha! I upload but I have no clue how to run it so I just ignore it mostly. 😬
Do you have health insurance as a dependent of your husband in Shanghai? It would be nice to have an episode talking about how to get health care in China
"Nice to hear that you and your family are okay. I am an audience from Jiangsu province near Shanghai, and I hope you and your family can come and visit Jiangsu province someday. Sorry for my poor English, this message was translated by ChatGPT. I hope there are no mistakes in my message."😊
Just found your vlog couples of hours ago. It's not cinematic but IMO you're a great videographer; the B-rolls, the angle, the music. The camera shake make it even more lively ;). Anyway you may put voice over little bit (when you're off the frame) so we can feel the surroundings, the smell or everything you may share with us. Very beautiful video.
I am a new visitor of your blog, so don't know anything about your health problem. But, I'll keep praying for you! Stay calm, as I saw you in the video.
Awesome editing and beautiful music again, thanks Melissa! Gee, I should have suspected you might have iron deficiency when I first heard you had been experiencing join pains and chronic fatigue from your previous VLOGS ( unfortunately it is quite common in vegetarians, especially female vegetarians)..., but the good news is it's going to be an easy fix by taking oral Fe+ supplements. Keep us posted on your fine-needle aspiration biopsy. His blessings upon you and your awesome family always!
@@melissa_renee P.S. I don’t know your GP mentioned it to you or not….. please make sure you take your iron supplements with your meals for more efficient absorption.
@@melissa_renee The window to take iron supplements is between Thirty minutes before meal to two hours after meal, however the dilation level of the gastroduodenal artery ( common hepatic artery) is largely elevated during food intake followed by digestion /absorption in the small intestines ( to supply additional blood volume to transport nutrient) hence tts the optimal timing to take supplements. I totally get it! I was a little disappointed with these strawberries but I have another guy I buy from here and they are always sweet and cheap! It’s really crazy.
Really love your video, me and my husband just settle down at Shanghai and being travel to places nearby our area during weekends.Your video helps us a lots, thanks!❤ Btw a quick question,is it legal to travel in E-bike with adult passenger? Because we plan to buy one but we heard that it is illegal to fetch with adult passenger, kindly advise.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Hello! So glad I can help you with my videos. 😊 and welcome to Shanghai!! So you have heard correctly. It’s illegal to have two adults on an e-bike. 😬 however where we are in Qingpu they do not enforce this law. But as soon as we go into Minhang, especially during busy times the police on the corners will blow their whistle at you to get off. So if you’re in the city center I would get two bikes or not ride together.

vast majority of thyroid nodules are nothing to worry about. maybe follow up ultrasound in one year. I'm not sure of your all your symptoms, but MS is a possibility based on what I briefly heard. Something about wrist numbness? If in 4th and 5th fingers, could be carpal tunnel syndrome.
health is priceless, i hope your biopsy result will be good also. i don't mean to offend you, i wouldn't eat strawberries or any fruits without proper washing first. too many pesticides on the fruits regardless of where they are from. love from canada.
China's strawberries are planted under cover of plastic or called plasticulture. They do not need to insecticide them because it is protected from insects. Grape is another story, due to the size of the plant, you have to wash them.
@@melissa_renee Partly true. During early stage (e.g. seedling till flowering) insecticides are used to ensure the soil is totally pest free, after that plastics are covered and they will purposely release bees in for pollination, from then on there would be no insecticides otherwise the bees get killed, all the way till harvest. So there will be more than 2 months of insecticides free period during the lifecycle till they are sold, which is long enough to allow the insecticides to degrade to a very very low level.
All I know is it's so much faster and more efficient than the one in Canada, there are also lots of treatment options that are not available in Canada. @@melissa_renee I'd say healthcare in China is comparable if not better than the US overall in terms of quality, but with way less waiting and ofc, it's also much cheaper.
