I tested this soundbar at a Costco display and compared it with the LG SNY7 Atmos Soundar, and the Bose actually sounded slightly more impressive to my ears. For the price and the lack of Atmos, I was VERY surprised by this.
My recent situation.. had Zvox for speech clarity with fake surround dound too. Worked great then TV optical audio output stopped working. No way to hook speaker up as it only has optical audio input bought this Bose for its HDMI ARC input... happy!
I am considering buying this Soundbar or 2 of the Amazon Echo 4th generation speakers which would cost about 50% less. I am looking for speech clarity rather than sound effects. I would appreciate your thoughts and thanks for a great review.
If it is a Roku system must it be connected with HDMI arc to work? If connected with included optical cable will it work but have to use 2 remotes? This is a gift and I am not sure if I should include the ARC cable as well.
If you connect it via HDMI ARC there's an option on the remote (press the Power Button 3-4 sec) to synchronize it with the TV. Got mine last week and it works fine, afterwards you can control the volume via TV remote as well.
thx for the Video.I got the soundbar and i like the sound. I have a huge Problem with it and hope someone can help me. After connecting the soundbar with my Sony XH90 TV i have a delay when turning the sound up or down with the sony remote(also with the little bose remote this happens sometimes). its not "snappy" anymore, there is a delay or sometimes the sound goes up two steps or no step at all when i press once. i connected via hdmi earc and bluetooth, both modes have the same problem. Pls help me i really dont want to sent the soundbar back, i like the sound but its really annoying using it like that.
When starting my TV and my soundbar, it takes several minutes for the sound to activate. During that time I can only listen to sound from the TV speakers. Do you know why ?
Have you heard the also compact Yamaha SR-C20A? Definitely deciding between that and this Bose TV Speaker. It's hard, if not impossible to get a good sound audition via RUclips, although appreciate your sound test /example.
Hi, I am a UK viewer of this video. I recently returned a Sonos Beam, as I didn't think it made £399 pounds worth of difference to the sound quality of my new Samsung Q95T 55" Smart TV. I suspect I might feel the same about the Sony TV sound bar. Do you really believe they make a difference? Maybe my ears are not discerning enough for this technology. Many thanks. Terry Davis
The Sonos-systems are really meant to be connected with other Sonos-speakers so it might not be worth the price for just that one speaker but if you had a full Sonos-surround system w. Dolby Atmos and a good subwoofer to match it would sound significantly better. But they are expensive though. May i ask what system you are running now, did you buy something else? I'm using a simple Klipcsh-setup myself, just 2 bookshelf speakers and a sub and that's more sound than really need. I bought it for music but it works really well with movies as well. Only downside is that they have no Atmos-decoder so i have to listen in the audio-codec that my tv chooses but it still sounds crispy clear and the sub makes the whole house vibrate.
@@idontmind5815 Hi, Many thanks for your helpful reply. I previously had a 5.1 Home Theatre System, but all the stands, speakers and wiring made it all appear cluttered. I thought a sound bar might be the answer. Sold everything and decided against any sound bar etc.
At the same price, you get the Sony HT-X8500 with surround sound, DTX Atmos etc. This Bose speaker just 2.1 How it is justified compared to that Sony soundbar?
This soundbar is for people who want to watch movies and shows where dialogue is crucial for enjoyment. If you have a living room and you don’t care about dialogue and only want loud explosions, than the Sony soundbar is definitely for you, but if you want a soundbar with a well balanced sound and crystal clear dialogue, than the Bose is for you. And take it from me, don’t under estimate this little soundbar.
Hey man, Do you know any 2 in 1 Laptop i5 or higher n overall good quality and reasonable oh also 14' is optimal. I've been looking but can't find any under $1000
@SoulOfTech, do you know any soundbar (without external sub) that has better sound than Bose TV Speaker? To me TV Speaker always sounds a bit shallow in review videos. Well, and that is what you also said basically :)
I was debating this and the Sony HT-S200F. Went with the Sony. They’re about the same size, but the Sony has a better review on rtngs, a built in subwoofer and is $149. But I still wonder how this thing sounds.
I've wasted so much money on Bose speakers and headphones over the years. Never again. They're made with second rate components that don't last. They're primarily a marketing company. I bought a Yamaha soundbar now that whips this one.
@Craig D Griffiths , is this the Yamaha YAS 209? I'm looking for a soundbar at the moment. Mostly looked at Bose TV Speaker and Soundbar 300. But also saw the Yamaha and was impressed by its stats. But the Amazon reviews made me hesitate.. The software is said to be very flawed. What are your experiences with it?
This soundbar have awful audio. Comparing it to a SONOS Play 1, the soundbar is just FLAT, with too much descant and too little base. And it COSTS MORE and is a MUCH newer product.

How do i connect a device like PS5 with eARC and this sound bar? I don't see a way. Please help
I have this sounbar connected to my TV via Bluetooth
Am I getting the best sound quality this way or should I use cable
HDMI ARC provides best audio quality
Hello there. Do you know if its possible to connect any Subwoofer w this sound bar?
only bose bass module
Am I correct that the 2022 Bose TV speaker cannot be set up with my TV which is a 2007 Samsung?
I don't understand why technology has gone so far and yet they can't figure out that a backlight on the remote will be really helpful.
I hear ya, the need to cut budget and overtakes the need to make Backlighting sadly.
@@SoulOfTechwhat kind of ai response is this?

Which is better Bose tv speaker or solo series 2?
Great presentation with tons of information.
Glad it was helpful!

So do I need to turn it on EVERY time I turn on the tv or it automatically turns on with the tv?

same happens to me every time. I'm returning it and get the vizio v series 5.1 instead
Can you use it with PS4 or Xbox series s connecting thru a monitor?
When starting my TV and my soundbar, it takes several minutes for the sound to activate. During that time I can only listen to sound from the TV speakers. Do you know why ?
Use HDMI Cable instead of optical to connect to TV
what is the service USB port for, can I insert a dongle and play music via it
Sadly it’s only for updating the firmware and such.
@@SoulOfTech thank you, shame I wanted to be able to play my music via usb
Can you control it via an iOS app?
He should've mentioned that you'll have to buy a seperate Bose bass module to hook up to the sound bar in order to get that bass
What Bose bass module is it compatible with
You can connect the 500 or 700 to this.
Always enjoy bose products
They definitely have an iconic look.
Does it really matter If this is connected thru the optical or the hdmi arc it still gives the same sound right ?
HDMI Arc will always sound better 👍🏾

I have not had the chance to test that one yet, perhaps in a future video :)
Thank you for watching!
i just liked that you included the music in the description. nice move
Does it work to play music via USB? (i.e Pendrive)
Nope USB only for service
Thanks for this great video
Glad you liked it!

@@SoulOfTech how? I can do it with HDMI ARC but not with optical
I would wait for this to go on sale during Black Friday for like 150 bucks
Good suggestion.
Buy refurbished directly from them for 180 on ebay
Any bass ? My sofa is about 5feet to the TV. Will I hear any bass ???
You have to buy a separate bass module (from Bose only) to get those rumbles
