- This year I'm doing something different! A swamp laser haunted house! I explain the concept, the prop controllers, the sound, and of course--the lasers.

I finally did it this year and the kids said it was the best fun that they'd ever had. Thanks for posting.
Awesome! Glad they liked it!
I seen the same thing at Spirit Halloween last year as well. I bought the scream box and 2 green Swamp lasers. The lasers came in today so I’m hyped
Awesome! Let me know how it goes!
Alrighty. Love it!! WHERE WERE YOU LAST YEAR!! Lol.
Quick thing to note. I actually tried the laser thing last year in my maze. Came out okay. I’m nowhere near as high tech as you.
I went with blue for a thigh high swampish effect. I wish l had recorded it but l wasn’t terribly pleased with the result.
I say all that to say this. If your floor in your haunt is finished smooth concrete you will need to roll out some form of carpet across the whole floor. The fog will make the floor STUPID slick. I had 3 people fall in mine last year.
Best of luck and l cannot wait to see your end result.
Really cool! Also, you kind of sound like Jason Hawes from Ghost Hunters. lol
answered my question from the previous video, lol. Great job man!
I was thinking enclosed tent with mock bridge for pond effect
Good information. Thanks for sharing!
Wish I came across this before I got my violet lasers. Advertised as blue just like you said
5:03 is super cool looking!
-- is it my slip on shoes? It’s my slip on shoes isn’t it. #you’rewelcome
these things are so cool but the ones i find are so expensive :(
Looking very cool man
This is what i want! Our neighborhood is quite well lit when the little ones start trick or treating. How much light will ruin the effect?
Do you think all spirit stores had that laser setup? Mine did, too, and I was worried the lasers weren't "eye-safe". No diode lasers that color lase at less than 5mw.....
I'm guessing all the stores had something similar, but what's weird is I didn't see the lasers for sale. 5mW is not that powerful compared to what is available for this application. You certainly wouldn't want this at eye level and hopefully people are smart enough not to stare directly into the laser. It would be very uncomfortable, so that's a deterrent right there.
Heck yea!! Digging it
What a great idea! Would love to try this. Curious about what setting the laser needs to be in for a sweep? Lasers usually are just one beam of light so is there a mode to look out for when buying the laser?
All the details are in this video. :-)
Stupid question - how are you getting the lasers to spread their beams horizontally? Didn't see any prism on the closeup and it looks like just a single straight beam being emitted.
They are not standard lasers. They are line lasers (the kind used in construction for line levels etc.). The Haunted House industry sells them. You can buy them from Froggy's Fog, Fright Props, etc.
Thanks so much for this great tutorial. It looks amazing! Can you please tell me the company name of the green lazer you used? I haven't found one with 50 mw yet. Thanks, I really appreciate your feed back.
Laser Land is the brand. You can buy the best quality direct from Fright Props or Froggy’s Fog.
@@ZombieHaunter408 thanks so much!
Gow safe it is for the eye
any chance you have the description of the laser? the link no longer works..

@@zoltan522 thank you so much!
Why only one sound source? 12v USB/SD player amps are cheap
That would work for the background sound only. The other sounds need to be triggerable--which is impossible on a standard player. You have to use a Boo Tunes, Boo Box, etc.
Are they flat lasers or just straight pointing lasers?
They are referred to as line laser. Don't buy the pointing lasers--they don't work for this effect.
@@ZombieHaunter408 thanks were trying to make this effect for our haunted house i appreciate it 🙏
Hi just wondering does it work on a normal fog machine what do you recommend
Yes, but recommend a haze fog and not a low lying fog.
Hi ok thanks I don't know if its the laser I got my one is a straight line when I had the fog on you could see the laser but not the effects that you have the smoke is not floating its really annoying I was wondering if there is away I could send the video I done to you to see what I'm doing wrong
@@gregmcdermott8838 Did you use a regular laser or a line laser. They are completely different. Did you watch the whole video where I explain the type of laser to get?
Hi yes I just realised my laser is the wrong one il just see if I can change the lens thanks for your help 👍
@@gregmcdermott8838 No problem. Go to either Fright Props or Froggy's Fog websites to find Line Lasers. Changing the lens is impossible. You need different lasers. 🙂
