Something I forgot to put in the video: The Yoshi info comes almost entirely from our crewmember prinnyjuice. His knowledge of both the game and character are infinite, and I'm forever grateful for the assist.

What I love about Yoshi is that he's very flexible with how you want to play him

Just some interesting stuff about Flash, the move everybody knows only on the surface. For one, it's actually called Soul Stealer, but I like Flash more as well, so I stick to that.
Other than that, there are like 5 Flashes. 1+4 is i6 with the lowest range. 4~1 is i7 and adds a tiny smidgen of range. NSS 1+4 is i8 and adds range again, and NSS 4~1 is i9 for even more tiny added range. Also, all of those are usable WS moves. Then there's KIN 1+4, which is i10, but no 4~1 version here.

Pretty sure it's called Flash not because it's fancy, but because that's its name in older Tekkens

@@SignorTromboncino Oh my. I had been playing since Tekken 1, but only gave attention to move names from 4 onward (when they were shown on screen during practice mode!) and to Yoshimitsu only since T7. And you're right, during T3 and TTT it was called Yoshimitsu Flash, from T4 onward it was Soul Stealer. So there are mor games where the move is called is Soul Stealer... and yet Flash just flows better.

These are notations and frame data, it is highly recommended to learn what those are in order to understand these videos.

pretty late but for anyone else wondering this: attack buttons in tekken are denoted as 1, 2, 3, 4. negative vs plus are how many frames you are able to act before (plus) or after (negative) your opponent. for example, I do a 1+4 which is -15 on block, that denotes I press 1+4 at the same time and if they block it they get to act 15 frames faster than I recover.
