I appreciate the fact that you addressed the reliability factor that I asked about! :) I'm glad that it was reliable over the course of your ownership. With the price drop on this marker, its the cheapest one with an OLED screen and I personally love those I think they make a gun look classy, and sleek and most of all the improved functionality is just straight up badass. I think I will eventually add combo to my arsenal . Great video man! :)
But for real, i love how much time and effort went into this video. I fell in love with my G5, so when the Spec-R came out I had to get mine in gold. DP is pretty underrated IMO, the price/performance is almost unmatched and if brands like them had more popularity it could help the sport by not making it feel like such a gap between entry level and top quality
I like dangerous power b'cause they are good guns for the price i live in belgium and they are rare to find at my field and yet i find one and bought one it is a spec-r g3
I am pretty sure you sold me on this marker. I was skeptical because it is a fairly new company and the guys at my local shop would totally make fun of me for having one. However i am impressed with the build quality and the features such as a real solenoid. So please tell me in your honest opinion should i buy the g5 spec r or the etha 2? Also how much does the turbine kit cost and where would i get one? Thank you for any feedback. I appreciate your videos as they are very informative.
Dp holds some patent that bigger company's are using such as the clamping feedneck. Theyve been around for a while. DP dont produce high end guns because theyre focus on rec ball players such as me.
I've heard from several G5 owners that you shouldn't use the lube that comes with the G5 and to get Sl33K/Gr33se or some other Dow 33 clone. Have you had any issues with the lube that came with the marker?
@Bass Slapper The upgraded bolt isn't bad at all, I found it was the barrel causing more issues than the bolt. Once I switched to a properly sized Freak barrel I had no issues
@Bass Slapper Idk, I can run about 6-7 pods off a single air up on a 68/4500. Probably could do more if I wanted but if I have to walk back for paint I might as well fill up. Even then, I've never had issues with brittle paint. I have more issues with the ASA getting clogged after a particularly greasy box of paint
6:08 you son of a b!$%* just kidding great information in the video. I'm getting back into the sport so i know nothing of this new hose free generation of paintball guns.
Thanks Madman I've been scratching my head on my next paintball marker purchase. For me personally I love dangerous power they are an underestimated company and I wouldn't be surprised if they made even better versions of the g series that may someday be considered tournament markers. So thanks go your video my next marker will be the G5 spec r with turbine bolt.
Two completely different offerings really. As I said in the video, the G5 is a bit different because it puts almost its entire production budget into the build of the gun. It's hose-less, all metal, and has a fantastic trigger etc. as you see in the video. The Rize has a slightly more elaborate drivetrain (it's essentially a blowforward FUSE bolt) but the external build of the gun is where the production budget took it easy. Composite parts and macroline (which are fine, nothing wrong with them) and an OK trigger, board, and solenoid. You will get what you're offered with each of these guns. There is no "this" or "that" answer with me because I rotate so many guns; I unfortunately don't get much of a say in preference (only in tournaments, and for those the answer will always be the Ego LVR).
The solenoids are junk. They need to go back to the G3 Spec-R era for drive train. Also, the warranty service sucks after they sold out. I have owned G3’s, G3 Spec-R’s and G5’s. They all suffered from the crappy solenoids. Don’t waste your money. Buy a Planet Eclipse Marker instead!
Mntoyaz I don't think the solenoids are junk. They just need to be maintained, and the crap stock lube needs replaced. I wouldn't say dp guns are for people afraid to take them apart and maintain them properly. I've had no problems with mine.
Steve H I have personally rebuilt the solenoids several times on each dp marker that I have owned. I have yet to rebuild my PE solenoids. When the dp solenoids stick, they trap air in the marker. The only way to relieve the air is carefully break the seal at the solenoid mounting screws. My other complaint is the internal breech o rings. By the way, I maintained 3 players dp markers for about 6 years before I dumped them.
I threw a GEO in a campfire once. I’d replaced every Oring, rebuilt the regulator, replaced the Noid. Tried different bolts….. the bolt would stick foreword and wouldn’t reset. i could get it running great after messing with it all day in my house and then take it out to play and it fell on its face. And temperature fluctuation would make it stick. Finally realized the interior anodizing was inconsistent, anodizing has a measurable thickness and has to be accounted for if anodizing aluminum. I dumped so much money and time trying to get it to run. I woulda gave it away but I didn’t want anyone else dumping money into an unfixable project.
I’m a simple man. I see a video made by Madman, I click it

You did amazing sir, don't stop making videos
If the Spec-R came with the Turbine bolt then I would probably pick one up.

how would you compare it to the Gtek?
Can you do a review on the dp fusion elite?
nice review. very entertaining as usual.
I like dangerous power b'cause they are good guns for the price i live in belgium and they are rare to find at my field and yet i find one and bought one it is a spec-r g3
That John Cena bit got me so good!
g5 spec r with turbine bolt or etha 2?
Do you think this would be a good beginner gun?
Great video! I have the G5🔫👍🏻

DP has been around since 2007 so they aren't that new

Man I love your videos, please keep them coming.
I can't find the turbine bolt anywhere.
I know its late but look on the dangerous power website.
Ansgear sells it

I'll be honest, I lost that tiny tube of grease in the first couple of hours. I ran it mostly on Exalt Vitamin G, it is quite excellent.
Planet eclipse grease works the best for me
I love my Spec R, but it's horrific for winter play :(
@Bass Slapper The upgraded bolt isn't bad at all, I found it was the barrel causing more issues than the bolt. Once I switched to a properly sized Freak barrel I had no issues

@@SinfulEuphxria how does the ASA get clogged? The ASA couldn’t be further from the breech/feed neck/bolt
@@zackzittel7683 No idea, I pull it apart and theres a little bit of some greasy gunk inside there. I cotton swab it, suddenly it airs up again.
@@zackzittel7683 Happens after winter play or a greasy box of paint, consistently
Reminds me of a first generation Geo.
Hi friend, I'm Brazilian could you answer me if this bolt of zero in the dangerous powe g5. Please
Nao entendi bem. Voce pode me perguntar em Portugues?
The Madman tenho um marcador g5 esse bolt amarelo que ele usou para melhora o desempenho da certo?
So is that how you properly install the turbine core bolt ? I cant find anything else on how to install the turbine core bolt
There are many ways to make sandwich. There are also many ways to install turbine bolts.

Hello! What paintball hopper are you using?🔫
Ezduztube its a virtue spire
Thanks nice! 🔫
Virtue spire it? How did you get that window on your loader?

I see. It looks great!
Amazing video 👌
can it feather
Please make a review for Empire Vanquish GT review ! An underrated marker..
I wasn't expecting your review to turn into a HowTo Basic video at 6:43 :P
What is the difference between the G5 and this gun?
This is a basically sexy G5. Better finish, better electronics, and better engine with the Turbine.
Great vid😂😂👍
6:08 you son of a b!$%* just kidding great information in the video. I'm getting back into the sport so i know nothing of this new hose free generation of paintball guns.
The first order

The Madman what do u prefer this Gun or the proto maxxed rise??

They totally took this idea from the quest 4B bolt.
nice
Why do people complain about a damn manual. It’s 2020 man....go download it to your device. Stop printing paper manuals. It’s one more thing to carry.
Then let's have gun makers print a sheet with a QR code. CDs are obsolete, even for 2017 when the video was made.
And uh, how often do you lug a PC to the field?
lol on dvd show
Feel free to donate one of your many dangerous power guns to me, please lol I’m broke and need a marker
