The Multeen Way (Deadly history) nice hiking with trail dangers

- The Multeen Way may be one of the shortest trails on The Ireland Way, but what it lacks in distance it more than makes up for in depth of fascinating history and the character of its people.
After battling through the last section the hiking was a bit easier but encounters with hogweed, guard dogs, bulls and stampeding cows did keep me on my toes. Country lanes, fields, hills, and windfarms dominate this section.
Legendary Robin Hood-type hero's use to roam this area and faction's use to beat each other with sticks in street battles. Francis, Liam and Michael thankfully were able to regale me with these incredible stories and more.

Sad to see that the hogweed is still there - but at least it looks a lot more dead than when we passed it! I've been in Aoife's shoes too often at 1:40 😣

Ya those shots came out nice, but they were very flighty but she did well to win them around.
Brilliant again loved it. You could listen to those types of stories all day, there was a Horse called Eamon An Cnoic running at the Cheltenham festival this year.
Haha, no way! that's great, just so long as it wasn't Eamon himself up on that horse :D.
I interviewed the fellas for about 30minutes but it could have gone into so much longer they were really interesting people to chat to. I was very lucky.

@@MountainMikesAdventures if you don't mind me asking, can you estimate about how much you spent on the hike itself, as in lodging and food? I plan on camping as much as possible to save on costs, but just want to get an idea of what others have spent. Thanks.
You should climb bireencorragh. It is located beside nephin and is 699 metres tall
Believe it or not I actually have that penciled in on the list, It's around the Glenhest area if I'm correct. I've hiked a bit around the Nephin wilderness area, it's stunning and I love getting up into those mountains.
