      was in drs zone ... easy pass anyway . Look when he passed vettel ...

    • @xRays6

      he was thanking bottas for holding up vettel earlier in the race and allowing an easy pass.

    • @AshishKumar-bm2ou
      @AshishKumar-bm2ou 7 лет назад +2

      Kahlil Hernández that was the best strategy. also that's the drs zone. that thumbs up is cz they r team mates.

    • @mrsmith5846
      @mrsmith5846 7 лет назад +4

      so he should of given Vettel the thumbs up as well. Yea?

    • @AshishKumar-bm2ou
      @AshishKumar-bm2ou 7 лет назад +1

      Mr Smith nope. they are not team mates. so fight will go on. also vettel was surprised when he saw Lewis in side of him. he even said that in press conference. Mercedes took advantage of virtual safety car situation. that caused Ferrari a big time loss. simple.

      Yes - I'm sure some other F1 races were this exciting in the last 10 years, but I wouldn't really know and didn't care. Presenting HD highlights and sharing on YT is such a positive step forward, I feel like I'm 10 again watching the clips. I'm also going to be following my first Indy 500 because of the behind the scenes access they've given (low key build up) - they must be doing something right!

    Vettel's overtake on Bottas in Spanish GP 2017 is easily one of the top moments of F1 in the 21st century, and the overtaking hightlight of the last 2-3 years. I jumped still to my feet when I saw his maneuver, It was breathtaking, element of an intrepid world-champion-class driver.

    • @theglitch312
      @theglitch312 7 лет назад +8

      It was a big gamble, but there is more rubber right to the pit exit due to the test starts the drivers do in free practise. This means he has more traction=a big chance to get next to MAG. SAI would've been praised for his racecraft like VET's double pitlane overtake last year in China if he managed to pull it off.

      magnussen clearly closes the gap to the right, theres a lot of space on the left until the white line,and its considered unsafe release when the driver of the back have to brake or avoid the driver in the front, which its the case

    • @dickfuckmcguff7640
      @dickfuckmcguff7640 7 лет назад +2

    Loved the Bottas-Hamilton partnership. That's how you race in a team. The thumbs up was great, I actually saw the thumbs up live too so that was great. It was like Top Gun lol. It's a shame that Bottas couldn't finish or compete but he played a crucial role otherwise Mercedes wouldn't have won. Formula One is not just a single-driver thing, it's an overall balance between drivers competing against each other and playing as a team.

      +tuti rabbit Nope. Schumacher beat Senna. Fangio was in different times, easier cars. Hamilton didn't defaet anyone before the rules that makes his Mercedes engine superdominant.
      Vettel won 4 titles whilst Hamilton had the better engine.
      Hamilton got defeated by Button and Rosberg (what do you know, a GERMAN!!!)
      Don't call me a neonazi you sick communist fuck. I symnpathize with the Jewish people and i dispise of any form of fascism (including left wing fascism).

      In 2010-2013 Lewis had no chance to defeat Seb.
      You better watch it moron, the Ferrari can produce over 1000hp, and it's got superior handling last year and will have that same benefit this year.
      Learn English you pathetic fool
      Schumacher had 80hp less than Senna and he still ended up higher in the championship than the overrated Brazilian in 1992 and 1993.
      Senna was the more experienced and Schumacher was NEW!

    So what do we think about the first corner tangle ? The more I look at it, the more I feel RAI squeezed BOT because he was trying to give room the VES. If so, who's to blame ? I would say VES for thinking 3cars in a corner is doable, but BOT braked so early I can't imagine any driver not going for it...
    For sure, racing incident, no penalties required, first corner collisions is inevitable. I'm just curious to see what you think caused the collision ?

      Not at all, he was miles off the pace (possibly due to the older, used engine) and on a different strategy. Bottas is in his first year at Mercedes and helped the team win today. He had no chance of winning due to the circumstances, only Hamilton could. Just like how Hamilton had no chances off winning in Russia, only Bottas could. He's a great driver who is much younger than Lewis and will get his chance

    Sainz: "He pushed me off!"
    Can Sainz really be this dumb? Magnussen was in the right position when he exited the pitlane. It's obvious that the pit lane is one car wide, not two. Clearly it is Sainz fault and tries to blame it on other drivers. He did this blaming with Stroll in Bahrain when Stroll took the corner beautifully and all of a sudden, a wild Toro Rosso appears (Sainz) and hits the Williams sidepod and he said on the raidio, "He turned like if I wasn't there." Literally Sainz is becoming Maldonado #2.
