That moment when you realize that the real driver of the day was Kimi for making the dream come true for that kid. Things like that are the ones that make me love more and more this sport
Who feels that Vettel overtake on Bottas was absolute masterclass but the commentary didn't do the justice...but when Hamilton pulled a simple move it was all hyped
First name Last name you mean when mercs haven’t got such a dominant car they have spare time in the R and D department to make fighter jet style sticks and controls??
When Kimi was out and we all saw the crying kid, the german reporter said "If I could find this boy, I would give him a signed Kimi cap". Later you saw the kid cheering when Sebastian got in front of Hamilton after the pitstop. And then nearly at the end you saw a replay of the start again, (first I didn't know why), then you saw the kid crying and after that him in Kimis arms with a cap. It was a very heartwarming moment to see this gesture of Kimi and Ferrari. These are the moments why I like F1. Kimi driver of the day!
In my opinion, this is for now the best race of the season so far, alot of things happend, alot of race incidents, overtakes, a battle for the win from start to finish, and a kid that had a very interesting day, first crying when Raikkonen had to retire from the race and then having the oportunity to really be with Kimi and watching his smile and then a picture with Kimi Raikkonen, I smile alot every time I watch that part. Wonderful race :D
Harry Verolme I guess more voted just for Vettel just because they are fans of him instead of making a neutral decision. Wehrlein has a really shit car but managed his best ever finish in F1. I voted for him because of that.
I voted for Wehrlein cause he held off Sainz for 25+ laps, all whilst gaining a gap over the Haas cars, AND lapping faster than Hulkenberg near the end of the race.
Did you even watch the race? Bottas was holding him up in a critical part of the race. Vettel tried a conventional overtake the previous lap but Bottas made a defensive move which was close to the edge in terms of breaking the 2 defensive moves rule. The commentators predicted a dummy on the next lap, and presumably Bottas predicted that too. Vettel decided to force the issue in an all or nothing move instead of risking sitting behind Bottas after an illegal double defense move whining pointlessly to race control as Hamilton caught up. What happened in Martin Brundle's voice at that moment is what happened in Bottas' brain and where he could have completely closed the door on the grass, he bought the second dummy and by the time he knew what was happening Vettel already had the inside and it was too late for Bottas to close the gap, or enter wide in the typical racing line and try some kind of an undercut. The execution was incredibly risky for Vettel as he was violently maneuvering the car and touching the grass, however the tactic guaranteed a pass on Bottas, who was forced to neither pick the inside nor the outside for the corner and thus couldn't defend on entry or exit. Really smart, ballsy racing and the most exciting and aggressive move I've seen in a long time in F1.
Sgt Shredder579 I sure did! I felt "over the moon" during the whole day because I managed to wake up early and watch it completely. Never enjoyed a race that much.
Thank you Liberty Media for these. I saw the race yesterday but usually I can't watch it, and this is seriously ALL you need to see to understand what happened during the race. Thank you so much for this.
Summary of the race: - Bottas lacks that killer instinct to fight for position with Hamilton. - Perez deserves a better car - Ferrari screwed up big time in strategy with Vettel today - Alonso has another sad weekend - Stroll and Palmer are slowly waving themselves goodbye from F1 after this season if they keep under performing. - Best moment of the race: Kimi with the kid!
Raikkonen needs to get involved in this WDC in Monaco. F1 needs a competitive, on-form, peerless Kimi Raikkonen like the old days. Truly the fan favorite. Not Verstappen, Not overrated Alonso, Not Ricciardo. We need Kimi back.
Alonso overrated? Eehm... P7 in a McLaren, finishing in P12 with better cars behind and did I mention he is a muptiple world champion? Oh nvm you're a Kimi-fan...
Ciaron Smith 100% on the part with Kimi but he always has bad luck... if you see the start he was ahead of bottas. On Alonso... maybe overrated but to takes that piece of shit car to P7 take fucking skill... look as his dum team mate. Verstapen is overrated.
Its called free speech. Intolerant moron. My opinion, and honestly I predicted many things in F1 that already happened from tyres, to good drivers. You are just a mindless fool.
Toto Wolff just loves banging that Merc desk. and yeah, that kid crying really made me shed a tear too. Good guy Ferrari and Liberty Media for making the kid's day to meet his hero

Can someone explain what happened to him? I missed that part.
Vinayak Iyer He was crying because of Raikkonen out of race
Se le enfocaba mas a el que a Ricciardo

yeah not like Russia, i slept when that race happenes but this race can't even make me sleepy
I've never seen Toto as happy as he was when Hamilton made that overtake
His level of happiness and relief in Bahrain this 2021 when Lewis narrowly won was 5x that reaction.

Wait wasn't it *DURING* the race? At least he got invited to Ferrari's motorhome or something during the race and we got some live footage from there.

far out hamilton is a beast. everytime he drives its like he is driving to get to heaven.
great race for all the drivers. Thank you for this great show we were given today
Summary of the race:
- Bottas lacks that killer instinct to fight for position with Hamilton.

- Alonso has another sad weekend
- Stroll and Palmer are slowly waving themselves goodbye from F1 after this season if they keep under performing.

samy29987 Bottas had to respect team orders
Kvyat did well.
More like Palmer is waving himself goodbye, Stroll & Kvyat shouldn't be included in my opinion.
Manuel TheApexHitter Stroll shouldn't be in F1
kvyat underperforming ? from 19-9

Just came back home from Barcelona. Having not gone to an F1 race for 10 years.... WOW. What an experience! Good racing, good company, good weather.
Vettel should have won, ferraris strategy was shit
Tazeq they had Bad luck with the vsc
still should have known that the vsc period had ended
yeah couldn't believe Ferrari were so stupid to fall for Mercedes' "fake" stop
Not really bad luck. They could have pittet during VSC instead of 1 lap after it.
Tazeq but he didnt 😂😂😂
The overtake on Bottas was one of Vettel’s best in his career & the commentators barely reacted
that kid is getting more attention then some of the drivers
What a race !!! also please upload Vettel's overtake on bottas

I'm sure he wasn't happy in Baku either, he was probably very nervous in Monza as well.

Thank you Liberty Media :)

If only all people in this world had father like Palmer. Man he is a man of strong nerves.
Bottas is just a mercedes weapon, that helps Hamilton to win.
They failed to show that sad kid, happy to meet Kimi :(
It was a nice moment.
Is it me or there's never much enthusiasm with these commentators?
They almost stayed quiet when Seb overtook Bottas... the Sky Italy ones went much more crazier! :D
Biased. They hate Vettel. They don't like when he and Ferari are doing well. They'd love to suck Hamilton's dick when given the chance
haha..angry ferrari fanboys!!
anyone else so happy that sauber have scored points. let's hope they can hold their constructors position.
I was so happy for the kid
That poor kid..imagine his reaction after the Singapore grand prix. I hope he has recovered and is ok.
From the aerial view going into turn 1 at the start, I can't really say that Bottas carries any blame for bumping into Raikonen. If anything, it was Raikkonen that turned in on Bottas. Having said that, Verstappen was trying to go through on the outside of turn 1, making that three abreast, which is asking for a bit too much.
Verstappen gave Kimi enough space to make it happen, but Kimi turned in too much.
What an exciting battle we have for this year
Palmer vs Stroll vs Vandoorne
