Looks like AMD is shaking things up with Ryzen. Don't think Intel would've ever done this if it wasn't for them. Proof that competition is good for all of us. Don't be an Intel or AMD fanboy, be a consumer fanboy.
I agree you shouldn't be a fanboy. I would also say take into account when purchasing a CPU that Intel is a convicted monopolist and cheated AMD into a near death spiral. They have stagnated the PC CPU market by choking fair competition and raised costs for gamers with their practices. On this basis I would say that when AMD is competitive the sensible thing to do is buy AMD over Intel. I have been holding out on upgrading my 2500k for a long time and am hoping my next build will not need an Intel CPU to get best bang for buck.
Yes. I just build a computer for my son and will buy the rx 470 GPU. The reason? Because the freesync displays are not so expensive. I think, the Intel 4560+rx470 is a perfect combination. In germany about 230€
G4560 + RX 470 (and balanced settings to lessen CPU Load on the few titles where it is an issue, still better than PS4 Pro). Conslow Killer. With an upgrade path, backwards compatibility, emulation and real modding :)
+jordocondi You don't need a quad core cpu to run far cry 4, a dual core hyper threaded CPU can run it fine. The game will look at the extra threads as 2 extra cores.
dandrixxx 1060 3GB costs more and has 3GB of VRAM... 470 is CPU limited in only a few games in DX11, it is fine in most. Dont buy a 3GB GPU less it is 110-120 dollars.
Well, you are comparing apples with oranges really. The Pentium G4560 has a power draw of 60W when under load, while the PS4 Slim, which has a CPU manufactured on a node more similar to Intel's 14nm (ie TSMC 16nm) has a much lower power draw, with the whole system drawing around 80W when under load. The PS4 CPU, codename Jaguar, was NOT designed for gaming or performance, but primarily for 15W ultralow power chips (like all the "cats" processors from AMD), like the AMD E1 and E2 series for cheap laptops, the A4 and A6 APUs for notebooks and even 4W versions for tablets (look at Intel Atom series,Core M and Y processors for comparison). Regardless, the whole cats series of processors has now been discontinued by AMD and many of the low power technologies used in bobcat, jaguar and puma have now been integrated in Excavator and in the future probably in Zen too. The new 15W APUs for notebooks in fact won't use Puma+ like CarrizoL but 2 Excavator cores and will be called Stoney Ridge.
+jordocondi Intel Atoms are not single core only, maybe the first ever to be released. Heres one of the later ones ark.intel.com/products/85475/Intel-Atom-x7-Z8700-Processor-2M-Cache-up-to-2_40-GHz Slap 2 of those together and you have a console cpu. Dont forget that the 8 jaguar cores in a console is not a true 8 core, just two quad cores slapped together so performance wont even be the same as a true octa core.
This right here is why I'm subscribed to this channeI I love these technical videos, especially the dx 11 driver overhead problem on amd cards paired with lower end cpu's, only DigitalFoundry mentions this and no one else.
agreed, not to mention 470 can be overclocked to perform just like 480. and there is 470d in the china market that is said to be worldwide selling after a year and 470d can be flashed to 470 too.
j ha-nocri I was expecting a more thorough analysis of which budget parts are a better combination. pairing a 10606gb with a g4560 is not an ideal pairing for budget gamers, the 1060 6gb is very expensive for a budget build, the 1050ti is a more likely option, also the Rx 470 is the Ultimate budget card when paired with the g4560, I am disappointed in digital foundries for not doing proper research when it comes to this. then there is freesync putting the 470 in a different league all together when paired with the g4560
Legendary processor. Gave me lots of fun paired with a 1050 ti back then. You can buy them used for like $16 and i will still recommend it to my friends looking for something so budget friendly and yet very capable
Yo this is the first (?) time I'm actually willingly watching through an entire benchmark video without pauses or skips AT ALL compared to the tonnes of other channels I watch. Props to your top-notch presentation, showmanship and choice of video clips, man. They somehow sync so well to keep me well entertained and intrigued.
Just put together my humble rig. Gigabyte GTX1060 3GB with an Intel Pentium G4560 and 8GB 2400mhz ram on a basic B250 MSI MICROATX board (no need for BIOS update for Kaby Lake support) ...been happy with performance in Witcher 3 and Fallout 4. Thanks for helping me with the decision Digital Foundry. I had to buy a desk, monitor, and all peripherals too. The Pentium helped preserve the budget to complete my entire setup. I can always get an i7 used later on.
Yeah I went from a 2600k 4,6 to 7700k 4,8 and can definitely notice more fps and more stable fps, before I would drop below 144fps in Overwatch but now I can keep a constant 150 so its really great
Anton Bjolin do you really need that INSIGNIFICANT 120 fps? I'm just trying to get flat out 60 fps. And could you notice the drop in frames? I couldn't
Wow a really nice in depth video, i just bought the Pentium G4560 with a new mobo and ram to switch off of my amd system that's just using a FX 6300. I really do hope my processor can be shipped fast cause these things are like gold right now, they are all sold out. Also nice devkit.
can't believe i've never seen one of your vids. you give exactly what i'm interested in with respect to pairing hardware and "bang for the buck". keep up the great work.
Today is the end of 2020, and i love my G4560T CPUs. I dont use them for gaming, but rather for home servers and mining, because of power usage and low temperature. G4560T is slower and cost more then G4560, and thats because it works with only 35W, with passive cooler it stays at 25°C while in idle, under full load it reach 35°C. Having integrated UHD610 that support for 4K60FPS, having ECC, up to 64GB od DDR4 RAM 2400MHz thats cheap with really fast CL, VT-X support, all very good things, and it even have HT that i3 and most i5 does not have (i7 and i9 have it, so i7 is for me the minimum that i would use), means this CPU can push lots of tasks at the same time and use all its 100% power at any given time and even under heavy load, it will keep processing all requests at the same time. Its just my favorite ATM, guess its fine for gaming, but i just have the another side of usage for this CPU. This CPU are old today, its price actually rise, i think G4560 (3.5GHz, 54W) today cost like $60, while G4560T (2.9GHz, 35W) cost $85, and if you are on the T variant because of power consumption and temperature, while maintaining all its technologies (both variants are the same, but T variant are just slower for lower power consumption, cannot be OCed, means less capacitors, more stable, means servers), be prepared to delid it, because all G4560T that you find today was working 24/7 in servers for years, and thermal paste are bad, so peoples are selling them for high price, because deliding and replacing thermal paste means risk and it drops the price.
Waseem B312 the sheep is a decoy . u must bring (buckthorn) idk how its written. and use it on the fake sheep. so the griffin smells it and gets caught by hiding geralt and vesimir. something like that .. been a long time since i played it.
Richard I agree. the budget stuff is more challenging and more fun if you think about it. I like having to see what is the cheapest you can get to go 60FPS and above on 1080p.
Just built a G4560 + 1050Ti system for a media PC, chucks 1080p 60 in a bunch of games and upscales media content using MPC-HC + MadVR no worries. If things get slow, streaming to it using nVidia GameStream from a 6700k + GTX1080 system and you can get 1080p locked no problems whatsoever. A nice combination for living room + desktop considering the crazy low price.
Cracking video Richard. I've been considering this CPU for a DIY router. Overkill, but for the price, It would be a cracking DIY computer/router! Hopefully you guys will be covering RyZEN..Would love to see how this stacks up against my 5820K
I just got my first PC done. I installed the G4560 on it with an R9 380 and I can honestly say whatever I throw at it, it runs incredibly. (1080p of course.) I can run The Witcher 3 on ultra at 27-30 fps. High at 45-60. Medium at 70+ FPS! All that for right around $400! I was always a console gamer but after seeing the PC's capabilities even at budget builds I will never look back again. However, I am itching for an RX 480! P.S. No bottlenecking what so ever.
DF, how about testing out some of those old Xeons that have been going dirt cheap for a while now? Overclockable and HT'd quad cores for under *$20* and 6 cores for *$50* (like the X5650). These old 6 core Xeons can still outscore the fastest quad core Kabylakes in synthetic CPU benchmarks.
I'm toying with the idea of doing a G4560 /1060 6gb combo now, and buying an i5 7xxx later this year effectively making the $75 Pentium a placeholder. If I run into any trouble running a locked 60fps I'd be willing to drop down to 900p. This would still be a better experience than PS4. I know I'll still have to buy a B250 mobo which cost a little more. But, I think this path is solid.
I got it on sale yesterday for $60, and I also got an MSI 4GB RX 480 for $150 , once I build it it's going to be incredible performance for the dollar :D
Very informative video. I have been mulling the idea of a 1070 based "budget" gaming machine and would appreciate some feedback from more knowledgeable folks. Basically, considering swapping the i5-2400 with an i7-2700 in an Optiplex 990MT (Q67 chipset, 4GB RAM, Win7) that I got for $50. GPU would be likely a Zotac 1070 Mini or (if available soon) Galax 1070 Mini. Plan is to reuse the 1070 in a future build once the dust settles on the Ryzen versus Intel CPUs debate but don't want to wait on getting/using a 1070. Would like to stick with 1070 because I would like to stream games to other rooms that have NVidia Shield TV, one of which is connected to 4K TV. Other parts lying around that I will likely use for the upgrade include up to 16GB DDR3 RAM, up to 240GB SSD and a Corsair 650W PSU. Total cost for upgrade should be around 450. So, I would end up with an (older gen) i7 based system with 1070 for around 500, compared to around 1000-1200 that I am seeing for Skylake/Kaby lake based systems. Would appreciate feedback on what I can expect from this proposed upgrade and whether I can expect acceptable/decent (understandably not top of the line) performance for next 12-18months in titles like Fallout 4, Battlefield, Metro Redux, Crysis, Doom and so on (I am not big into games like Ashes of Singularity, Diablo etc.)? Would there be a less expensive alternative with Skylake or Kaby Lake CPUs and a 1070 that might perform better than the proposed build? Thanks.
Getting this CPU for $45 (temporarily) with a Z270 board for $145 and a single stick of 16GB DDR4 RAM for $100, for a total of $290 so that I can replace the CPU with a 7700k and maybe add another 16GB stick after saving up the money for it. I do more rendering and video editing than gaming. Good idea or no (upgrading from FX 6300)?
Hey Rich I've run assassins creed unity on my g4560, GTX 950 and 8GB 2400Mhz and my fps degrades over time - I think you should test other parts of the map in AC unity;waiting for all the textures to load in and then run your main benchmark, I know its quite late now to be testing AC unity but I'm just curious to see whether you observe fps degradation when using the type of testing mentioned above. If you do experience fps degradation in your test( that is if you decide to benchmark ac unity again with the g4560) can you test it with other CPU's?. Love your videos, keep up the great work.
the best budget cpu you can get it seems, the only thing is that building a kaby lake system is quite expensive because of the rest of the components, since you have to adquire new hardware (in case you haven't built a skylake system before), but it's more likely to have an upgrade path for when you decide to buy a more efficent intel cpu
A limited processor in many ways, but it would make for a nice HTPC that does some gaming on the side. Interested to see what Ryzen can bring to the low-end, but I have a feeling we won't see the low-end stuff trickle down for a while yet.
They are an outstanding value,I built and sold some rigs with the P4560 but never tout them as gaming rigs but a very CHEAP everyday computer that will take care of all tasks for less than $500 bucks.
Excellent brake downs! Not everyone would bring up AMD drivers for having DX11 CPU issues. DX12 I believe it's flipped around on top of better performance.
It's not often that people will place time and interest into budget hardware. They should receive just as much attention as the i7 and GTX1080 range products. Especially if people who normally buy consoles are looking to get into it. It's hard to crossover when people think they need to spend 1000$ on bleeding edge tech to get a smooth PC gaming experience.
Daxter well I am building a new PC with g4560 with 1050ti next month.I can't wait for ryzen anymore and pentium cpu is pretty super cheap in my country and pair that with 8gb DDR4 ram,I am good to game at 1080p@60fps at medium to high settings for all modern games.
WTFisUnlap not possible friend because it costs a bit more say 20-25$ more in here which I don't have at the moment and I got to build my PC by end of this month.
Awesome video! However now I am not sure if I should buy a new Pentium G4560 and a new motherboard + 8gb ddr4 2400mhz ram for my little brothers pc, or if I should go ahead an assemble the used parts I got, a p67 motherboard, core i7 2700k, 16gb DDR3 1600mhz? The video card used will be a R9 390 8GB.
As long as your performance is greater than 30fps you're setting your rig apart from consoles. The exception being Pro/Scorpio, which will more often than not get 60fps. They cost significantly more than any budget rig, though. So you don't have to go much further than the pentium to bust consoles.
I'd like to see you guys do a video on input lag. The input lag at 30frames per second is very noticeable. It seems like vsync adds an additional 15 + ms of input lag, so half refresh vsync from 60 hz sounds like it would be awful with precise input like a mouse.
This is good, you gusy running everything on super high settings makes it easier to compare stuff, if it runs open world games easily at 60 fps, and im not a super ultra geek, that means this is a super good buy and can easily run games on low or medium settings.Thanks.
The thing is.. I have a g4560 and a gtx 1050 Ti. I paly crysis 3 at 1920x1200 and medium settings and it never really drops under 60 fps (the minimum i saw was 56 fps). the only game i ever had big fps drops was viscera cleanup detail.
DDR4 2400 Ram Speed also works with H110 chipset with these Pentium G4560, tested on Asrock H110M-DGS (UEFI Version 7.30) and Crucial DDR4 2400 Ballistix Sports^^
brother, you are misinformed even though you are using RAM that runs at a speed of 2400mhz, all h110m boards under clock it to 2133 so people would but Z170 and Z270 boards. it's a dirty trick used by all motherboard manufacturers
Sorry for being so blunt, but I couldn't help myself. All these tech channels that totally neglect the budge customers with their massively overclocked i7s, and all of the sudden everyone loves budget CPUs >
Digital Foundry actually covers a bit of everything though. Most channels do usually stick to one or the other though, they have an audience to appeal to, so they can easily get stuck doing the same old thing. They don't always get to do what they _want_ to do, unless they've built up their following around it. CPUs like this don't come around too often though, which is what makes it exciting, even to 'hardcore' enthusiasts. Doesn't help when people start comparing them to higher-end CPUs.
+DigitalFoundry I'm going to stick this CPU into my Streaming PC ! Can't beat £50 for a decent CPU Intel Pentium (G4560) 3.5GHz Processor ASUS STRIX B250F GAMING Motherboard - Black (Socket 1151/B250/DDR4/S-ATA 600/ATX) Corsair CX850 PSU Elgato Game Capture HD60 Pro Streaming Card 2nd Hand GTX 970 for about £150 Ebay Corsair CMK8GX4M1A2400C14 8 GB Vengeance LPX DDR4 Memory Module - Black All of this inside my spare Corsair 760t V2 Case !!
for price/perfomance who is better? g4560 (65$) g4600 ( 89$) g4620(107$) or the i3 7100 (119$) I just want to play all the titles without lag, I do not demand ultra or any of that. thanks.
my aim is battlefield 1 and Adobe graphic design, so i got no choice but to take i5 6400 and h110. Kabylake still xpensiv, might sold soon to upgrade ryzen (if better) due to my broken pc.
Ryzen can't get here fast enough, but this why I pretty much only recommend Z270 + G4560, possibly with fast RAM if there's a good deal, Then you can just jump straight to the i7 at some point. Although I'd still probably stick to the 470/480 for free-sync savings
Digital Foundry, can you compare the i3 3250 and the intel pentium G4560? I'm curious to see the generational gap between those two CPUs because they are as close to each other as two CPUs of different generations could get.
Hmm, I have no issue picking up a cheap second hand GTX 970 (970 OC), however in a budet build, not so sure about the PSU as that would need upgraded, where I can use a good quality low Watt PSU with a 1050/1060/RX460/RX470/RX480. Going forward, presuming I will upgrade my CPU to an i5 or similar then a 1060 or RX480 seem to make more sence as I probley can't afford both upgrades at the same time (CPU & GPU) and the price diffrence is not so big between the GPU's. With the upcomming price wars in CPU's I may well beable to get an i5 on the cheap new.
my brother just recently bought a i3 pc with 8 gig of ram and gtx 560ti GPU and i installed witcher 3 on it and it plays very well in ultra setting with phsyx turned off with 30-19 fps in 720p inside novigrad ao if your on a budget i think a gtx 750-760ti would be a great GPU on a 720p resolution.

G4560 + GTX 1050 Ti train here. Anyone jumping aboard?
Ram Iyer me please. Just need to wait a month
Not exactly the same train, since I've got G4600, but I will still buy 1050 Ti. So me as well

Another excelent video! Thank you so much for your work. You are doing best hardware reviews on youtube.
such an indepth detailed video. really brilliant, keep it up
I'm pairing my pentium G4560 with GTX 1050 and I'm getting good FPS on today's latest games. Thanks for this very informative video. :)
mark barbacena does it stutter on fps games like cod and bf1?
No, you get 60 fps on all games using this build.
looking forward to seeing your Ryzen videos in the near future!
Thanks for making this video! I bought a PC recently and this is the CPU which comes with it.
This was a great video, keep it up Digital Foundry!
Keep doing this type of videos. They're great!!!
Fantastic video, fascinating research. Thanks, Richard.
I'm so proud of my humble FX 6300 I bought in 2012. I think this will be the year to upgrade for me, but man, this is true value for money.
I enjoy an older tech guy on RUclips. great vid
Bob Bop Perano you can also get cheaper MOBO and flash BIOS that support this Pentium :)
Just bought used g4560, cant wait to run it. Finally upgraded from phenom II b40
The only negative about kaby is the boards are expensive
Isn't their a skylake cpu required for a bios update I don't know anyone with a skylake chip
It's free to update bios in most shops. And 90% that it will work well enough to boot into bios. Plus new mobos are manufactured with new bios already
Евгений 1 thanks for the advice
but u can't use ddr4-2400 with h110 (or any non z170 skylake) boards, if im not mistaken.
Seems like a lot of unnecessary hassle if you have to buy and expensive board
A brilliant and comprehensive review, thank you very much!
So super informative, ty! Gj.
This is great! I'm planning on buildning a budget gaming pc. I already have a case and an r9 270. May actually go with this cpu
super analysis, just great to watch!
11:43 "and on that bombshell it's time to end, goodnight" -the late top gear host j.clarkson
Haha, exactly what I was thinking :D!
at least one person is watching the grand tour here
Enjoyed watching this, i have a i5 4460 and Gtx 970 and pretty happy with the results but do wonder if it is worth me upgrading.
I swear to lord I heard assassin's creed nudity
;D
Good idea or no (upgrading from FX 6300)?
great review as usual
great video , excellent work guys
Hey Rich I've run assassins creed unity on my g4560, GTX 950 and 8GB 2400Mhz and my fps degrades over time - I think you should test other parts of the map in AC unity;waiting for all the textures to load in and then run your main benchmark, I know its quite late now to be testing AC unity but I'm just curious to see whether you observe fps degradation when using the type of testing mentioned above. If you do experience fps degradation in your test( that is if you decide to benchmark ac unity again with the g4560) can you test it with other CPU's?. Love your videos, keep up the great work.
It would be nice to see more vsync gameplay with the frame-time graph.
Love how BF4 maxed out every thread.
the best budget cpu you can get it seems, the only thing is that building a kaby lake system is quite expensive because of the rest of the components, since you have to adquire new hardware (in case you haven't built a skylake system before), but it's more likely to have an upgrade path for when you decide to buy a more efficent intel cpu
Nice channel Sir, you got a new sub.
This was surprisingly insightful
Rysen 4 core/4thread with RX470 4gig for 1080p/60fps game , if you can wait till april or may. If need now, go with this pentium and gtx 1060 3gig
Here's a like for your effort on the video keep up the great work!!! :)
Your description is wrong, is not an i3 because it misses instructions like AVX
+Digital Foundary Please do a comparison between G4560 and AMD A8 7600 processor
It's hard to crossover when people think they need to spend 1000$ on bleeding edge tech to get a smooth PC gaming experience.
shouldnt you pair the pentium with something like 950 or rx 460? I mean who the hell even uses a pentium with a fking titan xp
pjlovesitalways I know but still, REALISTICLY no one will do this setup, they shpuld have added a benchmark with a lower end gpu as well
Daxter well I am building a new PC with g4560 with 1050ti next month.I can't wait for ryzen anymore and pentium cpu is pretty super cheap in my country and pair that with 8gb DDR4 ram,I am good to game at 1080p@60fps at medium to high settings for all modern games.
Palash try to find a RX 470 for around the same price as it's more powerful.
WTFisUnlap not possible friend because it costs a bit more say 20-25$ more in here which I don't have at the moment and I got to build my PC by end of this month.
The point was to show the cpu's power, without gpu limitation.
So a PS4 Pro beta update just enabled Boost Mode. Sorry PC users, DF has some important console coverage coming up :)
Awesome Video! after seeing this I want to change from my choice of an i3 4170 with hd7850 gpu to this pentium with gtx 550 how does this sound?
As long as your performance is greater than 30fps you're setting your rig apart from consoles. The exception being Pro/Scorpio, which will more often than not get 60fps. They cost significantly more than any budget rig, though. So you don't have to go much further than the pentium to bust consoles.
I'd like to see you guys do a video on input lag. The input lag at 30frames per second is very noticeable. It seems like vsync adds an additional 15 + ms of input lag, so half refresh vsync from 60 hz sounds like it would be awful with precise input like a mouse.
11:42 Richard is turning into Jeremy Clarkson
This is good, you gusy running everything on super high settings makes it easier to compare stuff, if it runs open world games easily at 60 fps, and im not a super ultra geek, that means this is a super good buy and can easily run games on low or medium settings.Thanks.
The thing is.. I have a g4560 and a gtx 1050 Ti. I paly crysis 3 at 1920x1200 and medium settings and it never really drops under 60 fps (the minimum i saw was 56 fps).
the only game i ever had big fps drops was viscera cleanup detail.
DDR4 2400 Ram Speed also works with H110 chipset with these Pentium G4560, tested on Asrock H110M-DGS (UEFI Version 7.30) and Crucial DDR4 2400 Ballistix Sports^^
brother, you are misinformed even though you are using RAM that runs at a speed of 2400mhz, all h110m boards under clock it to 2133 so people would but Z170 and Z270 boards. it's a dirty trick used by all motherboard manufacturers
pl.vc/1azo1t
Should I upgrade to this processor from a Celeron g3930? Tqvm
5:00 "So dominant now" Spoke too soon! Ryzen is here to stay!
BS You love budget hardware :D Just jumping on the bandwagon like everyone else.
PhilsComputerLab Hey there.
PhilsComputerLab lol
When you buy an i7-5775C in 2018.....
I miss the budget build with the 750ti x PS4/XB1 videos :(
Would be cool to see new videos with G4560 + 1050 Ti/RX 470 builds.
i dont think they see a point because every other tech channel is doing it even though they kinda started the trend
+Digitalfoundry great video. thd
thx
+DigitalFoundry I'm going to stick this CPU into my Streaming PC ! Can't beat £50 for a decent CPU
Intel Pentium (G4560) 3.5GHz Processor
ASUS STRIX B250F GAMING Motherboard - Black (Socket 1151/B250/DDR4/S-ATA 600/ATX)
Corsair CX850 PSU
Elgato Game Capture HD60 Pro Streaming Card
2nd Hand GTX 970 for about £150 Ebay
Corsair CMK8GX4M1A2400C14 8 GB Vengeance LPX DDR4 Memory Module - Black
All of this inside my spare Corsair 760t V2 Case !!
did you use external game capture for recording the game? what brand?
Richard Leadbetter what are the CL latency of the ram? can you speak about it a bit in the next video thanks. whether its important or not etc
I replaced my g4400 with the g4560 for my Plex Server. Works very well now!
for price/perfomance who is better? g4560 (65$) g4600 ( 89$) g4620(107$) or the i3 7100 (119$) I just want to play all the titles without lag, I do not demand ultra or any of that. thanks.
my aim is battlefield 1 and Adobe graphic design, so i got no choice but to take i5 6400 and h110.
Kabylake still xpensiv, might sold soon to upgrade ryzen (if better) due to my broken pc.
Years down the line, I just got one for £10 from CEX and a board (Z270-p) for £25 lol. Times change friends, times change ;)
Ryzen can't get here fast enough, but this why I pretty much only recommend Z270 + G4560, possibly with fast RAM if there's a good deal, Then you can just jump straight to the i7 at some point.
Although I'd still probably stick to the 470/480 for free-sync savings
i have a 390x and its REALLY struggling.
Hopefully once the 490 comes out i can just drop it in my old i5
Brilliant analysis...
Rx 470+pentium is an absolute killer build, best overall budget pc by leagues.
Would be great for a budget build.
poor? well that's no longer an excuse! join the master race
Digital Foundry, can you compare the i3 3250 and the intel pentium G4560? I'm curious to see the generational gap between those two CPUs because they are as close to each other as two CPUs of different generations could get.
G4560 has similar or even slightly better performance to i3 4160. Since i3 4160 > i3 3250, G4560 > i3 3250.
How much would this CPUs performance be impacted if you were to pair it with a GTX 1050 as opposed to the 1060?
DigitalFoundry Does G4560 retain VP9 hardware decoding, or has it been stripped down from the chipset like AVX?
Great video!
Want higher framerates? Drop the resolution. Lower the settings. 720p is not a crime, if you must have 60 fps.
my brother just recently bought a i3 pc with 8 gig of ram and gtx 560ti GPU and i installed witcher 3 on it and it plays very well in ultra setting with phsyx turned off with 30-19 fps in 720p inside novigrad ao if your on a budget i think a gtx 750-760ti would be a great GPU on a 720p resolution.
I still think I'm going to build a G4620 based system, just to see how much performance I can get out of it.
Nice processor. I will buy it some day. Budget for some, quite expensive for others.
