Reacting to Paradox: A Rusty Lake Film

Since I've beat both chapters of Cube Escape: Paradox, I can finally watch the accompanying short film without fear of spoilers. I'm curious to see how similar the gameplay and movie are in terms of plot.

Paradox (both movie and game/s) takes place in Dale's mind while he and Laura are hooked up to the Machine at the end of The Cave. The cycle continues until Dale remembers all the hidden clues and is able to find the hidden Golden Cube (at which point the cube is created and given to him by Mr. Crow in the real world, and he begins his ascent from the depths of the Lake into the Hotel, experiencing the altered events of Birthday and Theatre).

The White Door is run by "Mr. O." (Mr. Owl), so it's a separate facility that is also run by Mr. Owl. There's also another location called The Golden Cube that Mr. Owl also presumably owns (just based on the name). Mr. Owl probably has tons of places he uses as a front to extract memories from people.
