There have been hurricanes in Florida every year for thousands of years and the eco systems always recover just fine. If you want to worry about the dangers of eco systems here, its the over population of man and commercial development running wild.
not gonna lie I live pretty nearby. They mostly don't affect us except for shutting down the schools and stores for when the hurricane comes. If it's above level three, we might have a problem but we and the ecosystem is usually fine.

You are correct in stating it is BRE VARD County but you've shown Melbourne Beach, Indialantic, Sattelite Beach, Viera None of which is Melbourne other than old downtown area. Research helps. The city of Melbourne does not cross the causeway onto the barrier island.

Been there! ,by the bridge . Is a channel ,an the mantees come there, the city took my advice an made it a park ,so people can see the manatees!💜🛐
