Can you show how to adjust the skirt pattern for an ice dance skirt? Typically for an adult, an ice dance length skirt would be between 28-30 inches in length and would either be circular (same length all around) or high-low (higher in front than in back)? Thanks so much.

Hi Genie, thank you very much for these amazing videos!! I have a question. In the pattern for basic leotard, you need to calculate 85% of the waist measurement, but for this skirt, you use original measurements. The top of the skirt is bigger than the leotard. Do I just stretch the bottom part of the leotard a little bit when I sew the skirt and bottom together? If I calculate 85% of the waist for the skirt also, it tends to pull up and the waist line is not neat.
Hi! It looks like around 6:00 minutes into the video that she matches the skirt waist to the bodice and trims away the excess. If the skirt waistline is larger than the bodice, as it is in many patterns, you can stretch the panty to the skirt and create a gathered effect at the waist. I really love the flat and seamless look creative genie creates with this design!
