Dont let off the throttle so fast lol it will fix that rough idle after you run it hard-ish. Dont know if you already know that. I just bought mine a couple months ago and ive had a few problems and that was the big one i had yesterday the "vapor lock" or "lock up" whatever you want to call it. Say youre supposed to ease off the throttle.

The 47re isn't as bad of transmission as everyone makes it out to be. My 97 12v has 255k miles on it and doesn't even slip. I have similar upgrades minus the Edge being it's a 12v but my pump is turned up. I wouldn't say I "baby" it other than the routine tranny flushes and bands tightened. I think all it comes down to is neglect on servicing. Anyways I can't wait to see what's in store! Keep up the good work 👍🏼

When your launching, Be sure that you have 5 to 10 lbs of boost before you throw the hammer down. You will see a nice outcome

Nice Cummins man! I got a 02 75 hp injectors edge comp and fully built trans. Once you build your trans it's a totally different beast your only feeling about 60 percent or less of the hp because of the stock trans it will be a huge difference anyway nice truck man!

its not the transmission is not necessarily the weak link, Simply upgrade the Torque convertor with the ATS 5000
If your not keeping it full throttle all of the time, Start with the convertor. Although the convertor will run you 2400.00

I totally understand, I've done a few mods to my 01 Cummins but still try to behave as I have 205k on the stock automatic. I have most of the money for the upgrade, just not sure if I'm going built auto or manual swap.

I like this video, it change from the other one step by step construction. I do like all the others, especially because I recently bought a second gen myself, and what to do some ad, but nothing crazy. I ve got inspiration from you, and I may change the suspension kit first.
Then, i d like to ask you if you have a better gas milage since you install the intake Bank filter. Cause i m getting only 16mpg in city ( my truck is a manual transmission and has a turbo boost kit, a 4" exhaust, fass 150, and the bank ottomind) and i d like to reach 20 mpg. I ll take any suggestion here.

are you still on the stock HY35 turbo? If you are, don't even turn the programmer up until you upgrade. HX35 at the very least to knock down the EGT a good bit. I'm running an HX40, slightly laggy but it keeps egt down
Tristan Wolff EGTs always run cool man on this HY35 for some reason, never goes over 850
The hot rod vp helps, and if your running 7 hole injectors that will help too. Just wanted you to be aware that once you start to get over 30-35 psi the temps going to go way up. By the time you build the trans and are ready for pump tap you will know what overfueling is lol. Anyways, hit me up when your ready for your trans build I built my 47re myself, and have a very specific parts list.
