Ancient Realm was a nice surprise! I wasn't super excited for this one I got it in the bundle with River Wild. Oh but I'm so glad I got it! It's so fun and quick to play and the resource and card managment are so clever! It may become a favorite and rival Ragemore!
Loved your final thoughts on this Tia! I playtested it and loved it and was a bit suprised not because of the theme or mechanics but because I generally struggle to really enjoy a beat your own score game (versus a win/loss condition) but this one is sooooo good. Another absolute winner from the Button Shy gang 🎉
Thanks for the playthrough. Very helpful. Curious at 14:02 why you were able to gain back two stone when building the Zeus wonder. From the pyramids, shouldn't you have just gotten a single resource or did I miss something else?
Sporting the “Hush” look today! Yeah, I’d have to wear the equivalent of a XXL card sleeve over that so it wouldn’t look like a Jackson Pollock painting. You mention 4 cards being allocated to resource management. I think, although a novel concept, Button Shy really limits themselves by saying we are a micro game company that uses “18 cards” per game. Don’t get me wrong. There are some games that are perfection from Button Shy just the way they are. But then some would be better at a card count of say 25. Easier to play, clearer to understand. Not so much multi purposing of cards. One person’s opinion.

Haven't tried the Royal Limited yet, but def prefer this one to Super Slopes personally! ^^ (both excellent tho!)

Definitely hear you there! More often than not it works out, but def glad for the option for unrestricted expansions. 😊
