    I bet a 1.6 vtec engine would go well in these micras.

      Thanks! Yeah I did get a GA16 swapped into that some years ago, but I had help with that one. We didn’t do It ourselves haha

    Hey I’m planning the same project, how you dealing with to ecu?

    • @TheCruise94
      @TheCruise94  2 месяца назад

      ECU stays exactly the same. Runs the 1.4 with no problems, no need to change it!

    How do you go about getting the engine swapped on to the logbook

    • @TheCruise94
      @TheCruise94  Год назад

      I’ve never done it before but I believe you have to visit a certified garage who can inspect the conversion and give you an approval which you then send off to the DVLA and they change it on the logbook

      @@TheCruise94 yeah that what I thought mate , I’ve just converted mine and need to do it , hope it’s not a ball ache but from what I know you could get a mot and no questions would be asked just getting it swapped as piece of mind . Great vid

      @@TheCruise94 you using the standard intake ? Don’t think mine fits since having to relocate the expansion tank to where yours is as batter in way

    • @TheCruise94
      @TheCruise94  Год назад

      Yeah my dad did it before, the engine look identical so I don’t think anything would be flagged up. Also if it’s declared on insurance I’m not sure it matters.
      The standard intake fits with the expansion tank where it is? I am for now but I’m going to be getting a Gizfab intake I think

    Hi quick question do polo 6n coilovers fit k11 micra worried won't work in the rear or is it worth buying corsa coilovers

    • @Yes-kn6zm
      @Yes-kn6zm Год назад

      I use corsa coilovers but im going to find a different solution for the reae springs, the corsa ones fit terribly

    Can the stock ECU of 1.0 micra run on 1.3 engine? And the stock cables too?

    • @momfiethehunter504
      @momfiethehunter504 6 месяцев назад

      it can, cables should be no issue, the only difference between a 1L 54 and a 1,3 75 engine size and power, there are however 3 different 1L 55hp engines and 2 versions of the 1.3 75hp. the prefacelift 1L was used until January 1998, same goes for the prefacelift 1.3. the preface engines have a smaller flywheel and clutch and have a smaller gearbox that wont fit the facelift 1 and 2 models. the facelift engines have a bigger clutch and flywheel and the gearbox can be fit to facelift 2 engines in theory. the facelift 2 engines are the 1.4 82hp which is a bigger bore 1.3 and a 60hp 1L compared to the previous 55hp 1L engines and use coils instead of a distributeur that then older models use. the ecu from a prefacelift 1L without Nats can be used on the facelift 1 models with some modifications to the ecu. the 1.3 without nats ecu can also be used but will result in less power output for some reason, modification will be required to use with facelift 1. prefacelift ecu's cant be used with facelift 2. the 1.4 gearbox can be fit to facelift 1 1.3 engine and will result in little less fuel usage.
