i gotchu with a TRIPLE boi today, all three arcs linking together in the ULTIMATE quest wow. crazy. this was originally in 1440p but the video was 260gb - youtube doesn't allow over 256 anymore so.. i had to re-render in 1080p :X hope it's okay!
my fav was definitely the melusines, cool lore, always called them deers but i think they're just.. baby dragons? i liked the annapausis one too but the start was TOO slow zz - the diving one had some crazy lore in the books too though!

Fun fact: Elynas is almost certainly Durin and Albedo's sibling. So the Melusines are Albedo's nieces

when you go to the cave in sumeru that also unlocked with Fontaine you can see a bird, frog and a squirrel standing in front of one of the pearl fossils. just walk carefully so you don’t chase them away

Now that I’ve finished the video, I wanted to post this here for anyone who wanted clarification about the Narsissenkreuz Adventure since I had to watch a few lore videos to understand it lol.
For the characters:
Al = Alain Guillotin, Jak = Jakob Ingold, Petit Chou = og Mary Ann, Kate = Carter, Ney =René, Mori = Seymour
They were all orphans that lived together in Narzissenkreuz Institute. Alain and Mary Ann went to work for the Marechaussé, creating more meka, including Seymour which Alain made for Mary Ann. Rene and Jakob were taken by their guardian to Sumeru. You might remember the name Rene from the lore found in the giant ruin guards in Sumeru. Basically Rene started researching Kahenriahn tech and when Jakob got sick, did smth with that tech to turn him into a superhuman. That’s why Jakob in the Melusine quest says he’s not part of the Abyss. He’s not a kahenriahn who got turned into an abyss monster, but a Fontainian who got turned on purpose. Rene finds the whole world formula, which confirms Rednas‘ samsara theory about how the whole world runs in cycles over and over, except Rene thinks the world will end for good this time. The abyss we see during Canotila‘s quest is a version of that future. (Canotila probably sees it as a nice place bc Melusines are made from an Abyssal creature’s blood, so they view things differently like Paimon being a rainbow balloon.) they form the Ordo to research ways to prevent the apocalypse or at least survive it.
Anyways, Carter gets sick and Rene and Jakob propose to do the same thing they did to Jakob but it doesn’t work and he just kinda becomes a monster that’s always screaming. Alain and Mary Ann find out about it and cut ties with both Rene and Jakob. (This is why Al and Jak were always fighting in the Adventure).
So another place we heard Jakobs name is in the research into Primordial Water bc that’s one of the ways Rene thought of saving everyone, is to turn everyone into water, then form Oceanids that’ll survive the apocalypse. He dissolves himself (hence why Ney in the Adventure quest is already dissolved), Carter is also dissolved as well as other ppl and together they form a kind of new person who becomes the new leader of the Ordo (hence the character of Colonel Kate).
Remember the whole fight within Elynas, that injured him and created the Melusines? That fight was between the new Carter and Jakob‘s Ordo and Alain and Mary Ann‘s Marechaussé meka army. During this fight, Mary Ann dies, and Lyrus (the Oceanid who was the head of the orphanage) sort of sacrifices herself to rebirth Mary Ann as an oceanid (I’m shaky on the details of how here but the new Oceanid is formed from both Lyrus and Mary Ann). That’s the blue haired Mary Ann in the quest. In a Dream, she makes Ann and decides to force her away to give her her own freedom. That’s why Ann has memories both of being Mary Ann (ie calling Seymour silly dog and all the adventure stuff) as well as memories of Lyrus (all that stuff about how the children like to play, the snacktime after the bell, etc)
For misc extra, this is stuff I know less about, but wanted to share anyways.
The three levels of the Institute (which I legit got lost in the sauce when I was doing the quest lol) each represent a different generation, that’s why you probably noticed the two Holy Blades have different names. They’re each part of a different generation‘s story.
The first level represented a few other characters with less importance imo so I low key forgot all their names, but one of them was Basil Elton and there were two guys with the last name Guillotin and Ingold. The Guillotin guy is the one who took guardianship of Alain and Mary Ann and gave them his last name. Ingold was the one to take Jakob and Rene to Sumeru with him. This generation lived in the Institute before the cataclysm btw.
Basil joined the Fontaine navy and eventually retired as a caretaker in the Institute, so she probably was one of the people taking care of Alain and Mary Ann and their generation of orphans. She had to go back and fight during the cataclysm and I’m pretty sure she died then. You learn a bit more about her through one of the melusine side quests (the one who makes you hallucinate underwater ships if I remember correctly).

@manel7786 Also to add the pocketwatch we find as the treasure in Annapausis is the watch given by Alain to Rene but when Rene dissolved himself in the Primordial Waters to become the New Carter his watch was the only thing left behind and somehow moved into that chest.
Plus on the day Basil went to fight against Elynas and the abyssal beasts she left the green feather accessory to Jakob as he wanted to have it when he used to play role-playing games with his friends.
P.s Can't wait to see if all these important characters ever tie into the Archon quests since Jakob has already been mentioned once. Also the whole Fontaine ppl submerging into the waters is nothing but Rene's plan to dissolve all of Fontaine. So they've to integrate them someway.

So Princess Lyris is different from Mary-Ann right? because I thought that Mary-Ann went through something traumatic and started creating fantasies where in the story she is Princess Lyris and needs to be saved
the only thing im now trying to make sense of is who are the four members of the Ordo. If Nazissenkreuz and Jakob are two then who are the other two? Caterpillar says that he joined much later and he wasn't seated at the round table so he doesn't count ig?

So, a little bit of a fun factoid about Iara, the fishing Melusine (and by extension Delaroche) because this is the first time I've seen someone do this without interacting with the fishing lady.
Delaroche is indeed the fishing lady but she does have "quests" you can do, to start her quest chain, you'd need to fish on the fishing spot next to her and she'll call you out. She has 4 different quests that spans 4 whole days. This is important because you'll know that Delaroche just sucks at fishing.
Which brings us back to Iara. When she said "I got this hobby from Delaroche", the MC actually has dialogue choices pertaining knowing Delaroche, with both options essentially saying "Wait, you learned from her...? I feel sorry for you."
These quests were crazy! I just wish they were voiced.

Basically the Abyss Order uses Abyssal Power, but is not the Abyss. Gah, so hard to explain....Hmm, okay so, the Abyss is a thing, you could just consider it a different dimension really. Jakob uses it's power because he was compatible with it and then further strengthened that bond with Elynas' blood and flesh, who is also from the Abyss. Also the person Jakob came with is Rene.
Side note: Lumine's sibling is not the only reason things happen in the world, this whole shebang was caused by another group of friends...well, friends who turned into enemies and whatnot. Still, I do appreciate all your theorycrafting!
- The Abyss is a whole another place
- Abyss Order is an organisation founded by Clothar Alberich for the Khaenriahns after the cataclysm aka after they got cursed
- Jakob Ingold is a human who experimented with powers in Teyvat and ended up being able to use abyssal power (much like Ajax having his Foul Legacy) and is not related to the Abyss Order

After watching this and going through the quest again, I’m wondering if Elynas is the giant whale that Tartaglia mentioned having a dream of, since the first time the traveler feels the paint hallucination, she sees a flying white fish, and the sound you hear when she’s resonating with the paint sounds like whale noise? 🤔
I think flying white fish was just a joke and was referring to paimon

Ive seen that theory around but his body does not match with a whale, his skull is smaller than the rest of his body and his teeth don't resemble a whale at all, he did ate boats and buildings but he was so huge it was probably easy to just walk on the water even if it was deep
maybe it would be possible if elynas original form on the abyss was the one of the whale but i doubt that, i'm sure the whale thing is gonna be answered on the main story at least parcially

The bell/chime BGM in the Narzissenkreuz Ordo realm made me cry 🥲

The water animals are so very...French. Gives off French revolution/world wars 1-2 vibes and a lot of the philosophies of Socoialism, freedom, and the many artistic movements from the renosance to anarcists. Jak especially is giving me revolutionist calling down the very idea of a monarchy. Kate has a bit of a Napoleon vibe sending masses of troops to their death and slightly crazy. Just so many nods to French culture and thinking. Rene even, possibly Rene Descartes famed for "I think, therefore. I am" which nicely explains the forms they and the "dragon" take just being the way it is.
Another more subtle nod is the little girl hearing "father" who turns out to be a God...Joan of Arc?
The sword of Brilliant Valor is from Venti's Story Quest where we discovered Stanley wasn't actually Stanley. There was also a shield of something but I can't remember the name lol.
finally finished this, hats off to you to voicing these quests. I love how they joined all the world quests together at the end c: Would write a 6 page comment but I'm also a lil bit clueless. Surely they'll answer our questions next patch
I love rewatching quests like this after having done them myself already. There's always stuff I might have missed or dots that connect once you have the full picture.
Good example is how Jakob was standing on that hill observing Mamere painting. I didn't notice him myself when I did this quest

Elynas himself was having fun while he was "exploring" the world. He only stopped when he realised the thing he found fun was hurting people. Maybe it's similar to that?

I did the mary-ann quest before the melusine quest and it was so confusing at the end of the melusine quest that why are we not talking about what happened in the other quest and tgat we know who mary-ann is. So this was the order that you had to do the quest. They really should put a prerequisite quest so we can't do the mary-ann quest unless we have already completed the melusine quest

The lore you learn in these 3 quests are connected, as far as I can tell the diver guy is basically just to get you into the area, there is a follow up quest with him that's unrelated to the history of Fontaine.
The tl;dr is that the oceanid animals are all based on the real life children-turned-researchers from the institute, and there was some bad stuff that went down. The Jacob from the paint quest is the Jacob from the notes / history, and he actually isn't (as far as we know) aligned with the abyss directly.
A lot of this is pieced together by tying the notes into the dialogue and names, there are still a lot of details missing and it's expected there will be more follow up quests to these (like with the Sumeru desert quests). I have to imagine the archon quest will reference some of the history at some point but probably most of the details will be in the side quests.

At 1:29:03 , I didn't get a quest to find 3 strange parts. After talking to Serene, I was immediately asked to return to Mamere like in 2:32:23. I didn't even complete any Melusine quests like Rednas did, and I only have 1 strange part.

ok so I went back to Melusine Village and there is one Melusine that has a Romanian name and it's Cosanzeana , that's the only one . Also I've been investigating and all Melusine's name are baltic & latin mytologic names ( some a little chaged)

They all use this language or something that makes my head spin. And I'm someone who followed along perfectly fine to the Jeht quests

Pricess Lyris team story was boring cause it gave away a lot of lore about Fontaine. That's why they told us everything in fiction story ropeplay style. Most of people won't pay attention.

I love theese world quest videos, i don't have the attention span to read the dialog myself, so i use theese videos as Background audio as well as like a lore recap,
I don't think her brother came here cause we already got lore before this where her brother met the Kahenriahn who told him that she was princess and then Dainsleif also told us that his sister stopped travelling with him which means before completing the journey he was approached by Abyss or maybe he has not been to all the places we are going outside of the Archon or story quest.

The world quests were so fun. I have only 2 quests left in Fontaine haha, and yet only now started Aranara in sumeru. Late player but I have finished all the archon quests.

There's more. Much more after this. I hope you played "Fortress of Meropide" before next part of Ann of Narxissenkreuz. This quest kept me confused till the end. Good that I didn't have search what I was doing. It all made sense in the very end of these 3 quests.

I lowkey how for Paimon's betrayal. Mostly for more Traveler dialogue.
Next time you do these quests please turn up the in-game music. The ost is so quiet and it would give a better feeling if i could easily hear the music while you are reading the dialogs (and some of these ost's are really cool. I just wanna hear them again in the feel of being in the middle of the quest and not just going back there and listening to them again)

I'm a mobile gamer and I'm so unbelievably frustrated I can't do the part 3 of the clear the water formation at all!!! My characters seem to not be able to jump high enough at all and I'm always stuck at the last part no matter how many hours i spend trying to just do it and I've given up although it really upsets me so much and i have no idea what I'm supposed to do
I play on PC and it was even hard for me to jump on the platform, maybe you should try with a taller character or a character with an exploration advantage like Wanderer or Keqing to get up higher. Best of luck! 💜
