@@SouthCarolinaSirens I thought I read somewhere that they wanted to get a new one so they weren't going to maintain or fix the siren. Therefore, once the siren had a major failure they could have a reason to get a new siren.
Its been for about 3 years, I remember when I heard this for the first time in 2017 when both solenoids were working still, was a good bit louder then.
Why Brendan didn’t unload his Mosin-Nagant into this thing, I will never know.
O MY GOD YOU GOT IT
They should install a 3T22 siren while they are repairing the 1003
Nice video! It was great meeting up with y'all!

Nice!! I Love Thunderbolt 1003s the broken Solenoid tho It needs to Be Replaced By a 508 or a Thunderbolt 1000TA
When it gets replaced, it will be a 2001-130.

@@SouthCarolinaSirens ok
@@SouthCarolinaSirensNOO LET IT STAY WHAT THE FARTS
It's getting repaired chill out yall
Its interesting how this siren has lost so much of its pitch since 2012 but is able to hold it better than before.
They are keeping it up for as long as they can, which probably wont be very long.

@@Joethaboss66 it would be the radio death
If the radio failed, they would most likely fix that. St Phillips 3T22 had a problem like that and they fixed it a few weeks after.
@@SouthCarolinaSirens tjat would have been great
We need to hear this thing run alert so we can tell just how bad the pitch fluctuations are
Nice!

I shuddered at the notification. I’m so sorry to have said that.
Sounds like that high tone solenoid is stuck in the open position. Other than that, still sounds awesome.
Its been for about 3 years, I remember when I heard this for the first time in 2017 when both solenoids were working still, was a good bit louder then.

Why is the solenoid broken
because joe
Joe mama
not sure. It could be a burnt-out coil, bad collector ring, water damage, or a bad flasher.
Why tho?
Honestly idk

The darn county better fix it,on a video I saw, they said if the controls failed, they would replace it and not fix it,

Am sure by 2021 this will be replaced by a Whelen That can do HI Low as well so they can keep that function going
If anything it will get replaced with a 2001.
First of all all Whelens can do hi/lo, as well a lot more signals, and it will be a 2001-130
This siren burnt out and was removed. It's in the repair shop and is expected to be back in service in 2024,
