Wow that difference in pronunciation at 3mins In is so subtle. That’s gonna be hard for me.

Parapluie French thank you for your input. I really appreciate it. I enjoy your videos very much as one who is learning French. I was always confused about the two until you you shed some light 💡 on the matter. Thank you again.

    Hello,
I'm sorry but to be honest, I'm a native French speaker, and I must say we do not pronounce the "e" in "je jouErais"... Moreover, we do not really make a difference between the pronunciation of the future tense and the conditional... But the rest of the video is really good!

I think it's because over time, it's sort of requires very good diction to pronounce the "e", so it ends up sort of being dropped, and you say it really quickly, but you can barely hear it, in terms of speaking.

Not sure if I'll get a response... But how can I tell the difference between the conditional mood from the future tense? They seem so similar in that the conjugations look exactly the same. How would I tell, "I would go to the store - J'irais au magasin," from, "I will go the the store tomorrow - J'irais au magasin demain." I'm getting my information from french.about.com by the way, so forgive me if I'm off a bit. Thanks.

I thought the conjugations for "I go" in the conditional would be j'irais and the future would be j'irai (without the 's').
When writing, to help myself remember the conditional, I focus on the two i's in the word "conditional": the first 'i' can represent a verb's infinitive or irregular stem. The second 'i' represents the imparfait ending (which you can remember by looking at the word "imparfAIT").
For the future tense, I think of the phrase "to have a future," which reminds me of the avoir ending.
