For the conditional example, arent you suppose to be using the conditional tense... which would actually be.. If I have enough money( Si, J'aurais assez d'argent, then the future J'acheterai une voiture.)
Merci beaucoup! I have to take a French test as a English major QAQ...my first language is Chinese, I found English is much much easier than any other languages...Numbers in French drive me crazy.
Nice presentation for international students. However, please correct your mispronunciation of "jouerai". E is silent here (after a vocalised vowel), so you'll never hear /ʒuœʁe/ but /ʒuʁe/. Also, don't forget to mention accents (j'achèterai)! Cordialement,
vous êtes bien facile à comprendre???? merci pour cette vidéo j'aurai pas problème avec le futur simple maintenent :) (désolé pour mon français mauvais, j'apprends)
This video goes way too fast for a native English speaker to grasp the concepts, it needs more lead in and about half the speed. It also tried to introduce too many things at once like tense agreements when I cannot even yet capture the base lesson.
You can pretty much use them like 'will' (futur proche) and 'going to' (futur simple) in English. That's definitely a good place to start. That said, the rules aren't particularly strict so you can use them somewhat interchangeably. Basically, it's not something you need to worry about too much 😊
@@ParapluieFrench so the time factor really doesn't matter? So instead of calling it recent future. Can I stick to calling futur proche as future and simple as future continuous? Does that make sense. Thank you so much for the response
@@vandanavenkat8804 put simply, they both express the future. I wouldn't think of one as future simple and the other future continuous. French doesn't really have a continuous aspect so it wouldn't be right to assume that one is continuous and the other isn't. For all intents and purposes, they mean the same thing. The futur proche perhaps expresses greater certainty that something is going to happen, but other than that there isn't much difference.
@@ParapluieFrench I probably should have expressed myself a little clearer. Isn't the English word IF, a conditional expression? Therefore when IF is replaced by SI in French why can't we use the French conditionnél ?
All these videos are such great revision 2 days before an exam, thank a lot!
