One thing I love the game for doing with the Seven Deadly Sins theme is to buck the trend of making Pride the biggest one. Instead, the largest, most dangerous of all, the one that traps the most victims was Sloth. These are all normal people who made a tyrant to dominate them just because it was easier.
Thought Futaba was sloth? It was on her calling card?
Danchamp07 Hers only looks like sloth from the outside. In reality, it’s wrath turned in on itself. She’s not refusing to move on because she can’t up and leave. She’s locking herself away because, deep down, she was convinced she killed her mother and deserved to be punished with death herself.
"all it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to stand by and do nothing"-Edmund Burke
It humanity faults, for letting there hearts being wrapped and there desires distorted, the real villain of p5 is humanity itself since the holy Grail is just there treasure it became into god Because they themselves wanted it to become one they wanted the holy Grail to rule over them, I love this game so much for this ♥️♥️ instead a villain being jist one evil dude, but nope it the people themselves
@@john_7000 having the collective of humanity be the actual "big bad" is literally every persona game
Ah yes. Not a scene that most fans talk about, myself included, yet this was arguably one of the most powerful, not just from the shock of seeing old foes, but from also making you question whether or not changing their hearts was truly for the better if this was the end result.
It also a good representative of our society in general. The people are in cages and yet they themselves have the key to get out. It just the will to gain back freedom isn't there. It's overcome with the sin of sloth. Doing nothing and roting away. Hence why we have the old saying. Evil can only truly prevail if good people do nothing.
Well, the Phantom Thieves are not heroes. I think it made sense that we were just as the same as the Palace owners. Doing wrong to be less bad. My big confusion was...to be contracted by this pagan God who wanted us to save his world and then...destroy him?
of course it was for the better, you do know these people were harming others right? rape, theft suicide murder, do these things ring a bell? what you do is the lesser of 2 evils, not only that but this happens regardless of your actions
@Nicholas Davis hmph, I thought someone would come back with something that proves they haven't played the game. you're not doing anything, Yaldebaoth is. they're HIS slaves not yours, blame him
@Nicholas Davis I mean to the people in the prison moron
I would love to see a reaction compilation foe that one scene where Ryuji clearly doesn’t know geography. The one where yusuke says he’s going to LA and ryuji says “but there’s no water” and the others are like “where do you think LA is?” and Ryuji says my favorite line from him ever: “Well, it’s the capital of america, so, somewhere in the middle?”
Lol
CohhCarnage - 00:10
Final Fantasy Peasant - 18:01
Shenpai - 41:41
Chronos - 43:28
Bittersweet gamers - 49:56
NicoB - 1:23:57
The Musical Gamer - 1:30:35
MurderofBirds - 1:43:09
Thank you for making this. Honestly, this is a lesson we all need to remember, especially now than ever.
Of course Shenpai's is super short and Bittersweet's is the longest. I completely expected that.
Just think, Futaba and Mishima would have been stuck down there if you'd actually stolen their hearts.
I don't think that's necessarily the case; Mishima's fame went to his head and all, but he still wasn't doing NEARLY as bad shit as, say, Kamoshida.
Futaba is different, they didn't steal her heart, They and Futaba herself opened her eyes and face the truth. She awakened not just through rebellion, but also in accepting what is the truth to her. Just like the P4 cast
@@neutralplayeroflol5722 That's exactly what I'm saying. If they had taken her heart like they did for Kamoshida and the others, then she would have been stuck in the Prison of Regression instead of becoming a Phantom Thief.
And Sae - Since the failed assassination steered her sense of justice back to the right path, due to her realizing that she was just another tool for them to use and dispose of when they have no use of - like Kobayakawa, Okumura, and the SIU Director. This was clear, as the palace was never shown collapsing - and the fact that her heart changed for natural reasons was likely because what she truly treasured was justice, yet overexertion from overworking, the death of her father and caring for Makoto steered her away from the path of true justice and made her believe that she was the one who could decide justice for others and hungry for promotions - as evident from the fact that she was willing to ignore protocol to capture the Phantom Thieves, and had satisfaction when they found evidence which painted them as the murderers.
@@neutralplayeroflol5722 I don't think that would be the case, as the evil shadow in Futaba's palace was that of Wakaba - who was already dead, Shadow Futaba was guiding you
2 hours?! Strap in lads.
Probably best to turn on 2x speed lol.
The most dangerous prisoner inside the quarantine cell is none other than long nose himself
No, it's most likely Ren - as he's the one person who can stop Yaldabaoth, as evident from when he summons Satanael and was able to channel his rebellious spirit to prevent his execution and stand up to the fake Igor - the others needed encouragement to regain their rebellious spirit, and Lavenza needed the butterfly to regain her form and in doing so expose "Igor" as being the one which orchestrated the events.
Listen closely, Morgana said he was born in the quarantine cell. Before the velvet room was taken over by Yal, Igor use the last of his power and hopes of humanity to create Mona. Because Igor believed in humanity and never backs down
@@neutralplayeroflol5722 So i'm aware - I HAVE completed the game 7 times after all, I just look at things in detail
@@fierytigergaming8112 This theory would imply that Ren's Shadow would have made Morgana, but even back when Morgana would have been created, I doubt Ren would have Had a shadow. He had fought against Shido, even though he knew it would be dangerous to get involved. Also, when the entire Phantom Theives gang is reunited in the Velvet Room, everyone is confused about who this long-nosed old man is besides Ren and Morgana; Ren because he has been going there for so long, and Morgana because he was created by Igor. The only other possibility is that he was in the Velvet Room before everyone was there, but I'm pretty sure Ren got a good look of the place when he was sentenced to be excecuted, so that rules that out. Another thing to consider; Igor fits the description of a criminal in the eyes of humanity filled with sloth; he's a trickster, after all.
I am fully aware that I am late, but I felt like I needed to get this out.
I think the group was talking before the fight and they said the locked prisoner was *protagonist name*
bittersweet going deep into the stuff
shido: does this look like captivity to you?
literally everyone: yes
I can't wait to see more of these when Royal comes out! Good video 👍
Jesus, it must have taken you a week to make this video.
So, just found your channel, and I’m loving these compilations. One question: did you do one for the opening cutscenes? The earliest I could find was Joker’s awakening.
The earliest I did was from the one where you meet Ryuji, Ann, and Kamoshida. On my channel you can find a playlist of every single compilation I’ve done
1. Click the gear-looking symbol (Settings) on the video, next to the big "CC".
2. Select "Playback Speed"
3. Select "2"
You are welcome.
who says that joker was the actual quarentined prisioner and long nose just came to chill wih hm jfvdjhvbf
Can we get a Reaction video of Shido’s change of heart?
I would love to see people’s reaction towards Shido’s change of heart considering he’s was the Primary Central Antagonist of Persona 5
And the following abnormalities? (Public opinion not changing, Phantom Thieves being discarded [When all the heart changes get nullified, due to being accusations of them trying to take credit for the changes of heart] and Sae's roast? - possibly the reaction to "Do You Want To Get Married - during exam preparations)
I would love to also see that as well Fiery Tiger Gaming
In all honestly, the prospect...hell, the *fact* that the Phantom Thieves utterly brought the Palace rulers back into custody shoulda been discussed a bit more on their part.
Wym? Is it not right to make pedophiles, mafia bosses and corrupt politicians confess their crimes?
2 hours of friking good montage work my friend. great job)
P5R Spoilers!!!
Yaldabaoth: Damn this wish granting thing is hard
Takuto: You know what? Hand me the controller.
Thats how P5R happened.
So true
Takuto: ok imma fight them in my own reality
Takuto 10 min later: damn their reality got hands
let me just say the work you put into these videos does not go unappreciated, plus you introducing me to new streamers has given me hoursss of content so thanks
Oh my f*cking god. NicoB... guessed the whole thing....
Nico always does that and its always funny
I admit, I totally missed all of this cognition thematisation while watching TMG's playthrough. I had already seen a bunch of videos of the final bossfight and the fight against the Grail before I got interested in the story. After seeing the theme of the seven deadly sins, I was beginning to believe the game played on The Divine Comedy, that they'd have to fight all the sins of man before descending into the depths of Hell before facing God himself to stop the Apocalypse (AKA "ruin"). I was expecting Satan (or Satanael) to be trapped in that "Quarantine Cell", and they'd free him to acquire his aid in the final fight, as the ultimate trickster.
Oh this is a BIG one. It must have taken a lot of time to edit it
It seems like some of the reacters are missing the main issue: That the problem is being mentally restrained to the status quo.
It doesn't matter how many bad people you stop... the problem is the system.
2 hours? I know what im doing on my lunch break 😎 thnx!
I'd like to request the scene before Joker gets chased out of the casino, like where Futaba finds many enemies on her radar and Shadow Sae is defeated
Oh. Oh god. I just realized. 2 hours ?
53:12 I don't know
It's amazing though
It's like NicoB's "bullshit plot-sense psychic powers". It just is.
The word "Quarantine" means not to infect everyone. Igor believed in self determination and free will, so Igor is the dangerous criminal locked away
Hey, Brando, are you going to upload a "Gamers react to: Persona 5 Royal" video, when it comes out?
Is it just me or does this palace theme sound like the theme for futabas palace?
You say "seeing the chalice" - but you miss out the part when people first witness "Will of the People"
How about the four Archangel sub-bosses?
you mean the public slowly realizing their situation?
@@fierytigergaming8112 Yes
i wish i saw the reactions of everyone seeing the veins for the first time. freedom and security along with the depths reveal is better imo
Why are the Bittersweet Gamers always so close to guessing right?!
Can we get a escaping in casino for a second time reaction?
Excuse me, can you make the reactions compilations of friends sacrifices? You know, when Joker was about to get attacked but was shielded by any of his rank 9 friends....
I’m surprised that nobody had talked about the *Quarantine* Cell
What happened to Gamers react to Futaba hacking Medjed
ah Cohh, stating the obvious doesn't make it any less obvious
I absolutely hated this palace. It was cool looking and I honestly would have loved it if it weren’t for me getting one shot by every persona in the game and not being able to go back to the real world to get sp back. Also the lack of safe rooms didn’t help anything
You could go to caroline at the start and she would refill your hp and sp to full.
Yusuke: Sens- no Madarame
Me: You're STILL going on about that?! The man you looked up to as a mentor is GONE, he hasn't been there since you took lodging!
Kamoshida: "Mm. your bod's as great as always - come on, come closer"
Me: "Has this guy changed at all?"
Kamoshida: "I'm joking, I don't want any more trouble - I finally don't have to think for myself"
Me: "What the hell?! Why would ANYONE want that?!
Lol, when Futaba asked if Okumura was there - I said "Uh Futaba, Okumura was killed - you're supposed to be the one which is educated in this!"
Later:
Shido: "Unfortunately, President Okumura is no longer with us"
Me: Yeah, we know - thanks for stating the obvious
(It makes you wonder if those are the original personalities, but they were corrupted by Asmodeus, Azazel, Bael and Samael respectively and that's what exaggerated their personality - like the shadows in Persona 4, aside from the fact that you're defeating them fully instead of making them accept themselves)
Persona 5 royal or persona 5 phantom strikers?
The vanilla version, the prison is like some heaven for inmates while the quarantine cell is made specifically for a person who defies the sloth of society, Igor himself who believed in freewill
@@neutralplayeroflol5722 how do I find this?
@@neutralplayeroflol5722 I thought Joker was lol - since he was able to hold off the assault from Caroline and Justine (By a narrow margin, true) and by reclaiming his spirit of rebellion he was able to expose the fake Igor - Yaldabaoth
@@slendertubbiegamerpo6139 ever heard of playing the game before?
@@fierytigergaming8112 Yaldabaoth despised Igor's belief so he locked him up and took Igor's position and split Lavenza into twins. With last of Igor's strength, he manifest humanity's hope: Morgana
*I Asked for it! Thanks my boy!*
_Time to update the list..._
Gamers react to:
- -"Right now, you're useless to me"-
- -Futaba meeting with the real cognition of his mom after her Palace boss-
- "Nishima, are you an NPC?"
- -Meeting the former palace masters in Mementos prisons-
- Joker taken in custody by the police after the final battle
WHY NOT
REACT TO THE VICTORY THEME (JOKER IS RUNNING)
In circles.
How about players reacting to joker being in smash.
there has to be at least 5 videos of that already
100th like
Hell yeah!
