    OMG, I love these empanadas. I call them pastelillos. I haven't made them in a while. Whenever I do make them I eat too much of them myself, they are so good!!! The rest of what I make goes to family/friends/co-workers and it goes fast. I remember as a child my mom made the pastry shells herself, now we use the Goya Discos which are so much easier because all you really have to concentrate on is making the filling. I remember my dad buying them already made from someone in the neighborhood and it would always have bits of boiled egg in the ground beef. It was so delicious but I'm allergic to eggs now. I usually don't buy them at any restaurant or street unless I know they have a generous amount of meat in the filling, a lot of places are kind of cheap with the meat filling. Thank you for this.
