Tony same. Her speaking voice is so soft and sorta high, and then she starts singing and her voice has this dark and powerful tone that is just impeccable.
monster of lov she lowers her larynx, still love her though. if you watch the voice USA there is this girl named wé her case is the same high speaking voice incredibly powerful voice
I like her tone! Whitney Housten, Xtina and Mariah Carey all have such lovely tones to their voices. Recently I was listening to Mariah Carey's Butterfly live on Letterman and I just think "wow, such a unique voice!" The same goes for Xtina's Oh Mother live as well.Any live by Whitney is good in my opinion lol She was pretty much a beast in her own right. Someone mentioned in a comment once that she gets nervous sometimes and that's why she messes up during some of her lives. I'm not sure how true that is. She has some technique obviously, but sometimes she sounds like she's straining, so I'm not sure what that's all about. But overall, her voice is full of passion and it's raw and it's lovely. I think it's more than just belting. I personally like when she doesn't belt throughout her songs, because her softer notes are just as pretty.
Up to this day that note in the bridge of I Turn To You is just amazing, right from the start you knew she was going to be a legendary singer. Can't wait to see what she does next, it's a good sign she's taking her time to let her creativity flow naturally instead of forcing a new album (Lotus).
Her editors have used pro-tools to bend notes a bit. And they have amplified her high notes, but the important thing is: she doesn't NEED PITCH correction because she can hear very well. Her technique means that she can't always replicate her studio material, but even when this is the case live, she does an ad-lib that is in the correct key. She wouldn't be a household name or as praised as she is unless she had a good ear.
+TD Le I think it was kinda copy and paste in the studio - and not fixing the actual pitch of the note (autotune). But I agree that this note was kinda wayyyy too unbelieveable :D
Current studio technology allows easy correction of defects and embellishment of voice features, there's no doubt Christina is a great singer and one of y favorite artists but she does take advantage of audio edition for sure.
monster of lov I meant, she only had one album where she autotuned, it was Bionic, not all of it was autotuned and her cover of, "Tough Lover" from, "Burlesque" proved she sings live.
Nice video! Im a big fan of Xtina but in her last two albums there did seem to be some editing to make her high notes sound better. Not sure if it is because of damage to her vocal chords or because her voice seems to get deeper with every album. But still she has an awesome voice! ^^ PS I know a lot of artists whove studied music for years and basically they all say that literally EVERY ARTIST uses autotune and/ or editing
Hey thanks for the comment☺️tbh in Bionic she definitely used auto-tube but not for her vocals, she used it to give her voice more of an electronic/robotic sound and how she thought music will sound in the next decade or so. As for Lotus, hmm I don't think she used auto-tune, because in the studio you can try multiple times till you get the note right(or use auto-tune like some singers lol) so I don't think she used auto-tune in Lotus either.
in bionic definitly but indeed it was for artistic purpose :) i didnt mean editing btw but it does sound like sometimes the high are a bit cleaned up in the lotus era. Especially if you compare them to the live performances. Not every song though :) but i do feel she has been working on her voice for that. I mean out of all the eras lotus was the least good one live but lately it seems better :)
+monster of lov (monsteroflov) I love Xtina but she does use auto tune. All artists do it, everybody who understand about production knows. But some artists use less and some others more, some artists need it, some others don't (but will use it anyway). There's clearly auto tune in the Lotus era. Is not because she can't sing, a lot of artists that you probably think that don't have auto tune on their songs actually have (Beyonce, Mariah Carey. ..), is pretty much common in the studio
+Leeuwtjuhhh Yeah she had a few vocal accidental periods (Late 2010) (A good chunk of 2012 and 2013) Not to mention her technique has never been the best (Stripped was a dawn of poor stylistic choices). She suffered a bit of vocal damage as her voice matured but for the most part her voice is still fine. Her Bionic album had no "correctional" auto-tune, it was all for style. Her Lotus album had correctional autotune for notes she had clearly lost (F5) but not much else (see Blank page or just a fool, there is almost no editing)
Duo Channel lol you got your facts wrong honey. She admitted to using auto-tune in Bionic, mostly through-out the whole album, but for ARTISTIC reason. She wanted to give the album a robotic/futuristic sound that's why. Not for high notes or anything vocally related!
I bet if she went up to this man he would not turn around!!Christina has a beautiful voice & no1 will ever hit a note like she does!!yes singers need to take a break fr singing!hell any1 w a job for that matter!!
Until the singers of the 80s singers hadnt autotune. Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, Tina Turner, Fred Perry, Gloria Gaynor, all of them had the autotune inside their bodies.
I mean Bionic she admitted but it was only used for this robotic future sound that she wanted to create. And in Lotus the only time she used autotune was in the F5 belt in 'Let There Be Love'!!
monster of lov everybody use auto tune in the studio . auto tune isnt just robotic. all cd s and songs are autotuned. christina dont use maybe no autotune live.but in the studio she use it too like mc and all others
doesn't everyone use autotune? i dont get what the big deal is as long as she can sing the songs live -- and she can does it even better than the studio ones
But you know what I feel though? Christina has explicitly stated that she doesn't use autotune, but I know as a matter of fact she has used it before. The moment I saw her in that clip during the Bionic era making those statements, I immediately thought of When You Put Your Hands on Me, where she really does use AutoTune at the end of the song. I know it's used as an artistic direction, but she really shouldn't be making statements she can't keep. I personally don't see anything wrong with AutoTune, it's a bit dated right now, but AutoTune itself is okay. If your talking about pitch correction programs like Melodyne, that are actually mostly used for pitch correction as opposed to an art direction, that's something else. But the same goes for Lady GaGa, she has stated "I have never lip synched and I never will." But then here she is, caught for lip synching... Don't say shit you're not 100% behind...
Ruben van de Put what she meant with her statement of never using auto-tune, it was mostly towards people who claimed she can't sing the studio versions live and whatnot. As for artistic reasons, she has admitted in putting a twist in the Bionic Album so it sounds more robotic/futuristic. That's what the meaning behind this video is about, her not using auto-tune because she needs to. Idk whether you guys don't get it or what.
She said she is got against auto tune when it's used in a way that is artistic, to create something. She said she did that on Bionic. She tried to play with autotune :)
Auto-tune will ALWAYS sound robotic. Auto-tune is not for fixing frequencies, it's simply for vocal effect. There are programs out there for fixing vocals, like Melodyne, which is what Christina said she doesn't use. Christina probably just didn't know the difference, but they are definitely not the same thing. Auto-tune is very invasive and destructive to the entire waveform, but with something like Melodyne you could get in and change the vibrato, length, or pitch to each individual note. Christina probably hasn't used much of that, but of course they use it on everyone anyway just to fix little bits here and there.
Ruben van de Put she hasn't used auto tune but when bionic came out I think she said it in an interview that she began using it I think she might be using it only for pitch corrections nothing else she can definitely sing without it there's countless moments to prove it and yes she does keep her promises stop bashing ok it's not nice and yes not keeping a promise could happen with anyone so stop
THE ICONIC AND LEGENDARY MISS CHRISTINA AGUILERA 👑
I always get so mad that Christina didn't win a Grammy for her version of A Song For You.
David Maine totally agree!!!
Hey respect the virtual artists and the fictional bands just because they don't exist doesn't mean they're worst than real artists
When your own producers say you dont use autotune 😉 Shes Perfect
Damn! I love how her voice is like a kitty when she talks and it then transforms into i lion when she sings!
The difference simply amazes me!

Autotune mostly corrects intonation,
Xtina have perfect intonation so theres no need for that..
she's real sing
Autotune corrects pitch
It also slightly alters tone into a sickly sweet sound.

Yes it's the only song that I heard autotune because it has that robotic sound to it but she is a very good singer and I doubt she needed it
whenever she uses autocorrect she uses it for artistic purposes.
Elastic Love
That's all.
she used auto tune in bionic to have a futuristic sound, she even said that she used it on that record in interviews!
David Chunga I know. LOL.
She used that to add a computerized effect to the song. She didn't use it because she needed to help her voice.
