who else in 2021 and still crying?
First time I heard their first album I was in Marine basic training. It has now progressed that I literally cannot help but hear the pain. Yes, it saddens me to the point of crying.

As much as I hate to admit it, Chester honestly wrecked his vocal cords with THP
He didnt sound like Chester during 2015. He seriously needs to give himself a goddamn and well deserved break. But no, motherufkcker keeps straining himself, so Im glad Shinoda decided to go with pop for the new record. Although the album may very well suck, atleast Bennington got the rest his poor vocal cords deserved!!

i just want to point out that the criticism they faced for this song was so unnecessary. people thought oh they wanted to make a pop song. no! the entire existence of linkin park was based on their honesty in their music and their growth as humans. chester got tired of having to scream how he felt all the time. he wanted to speak to the people who listened and scream at them in another way. this whole song is about a struggle. he spilled his guts and no one even noticed

And yes they saved my life a few times when i hit bottom with my depressions.. their music and lyrics are powerfull to me. i`m a 50+ year old and i love LP

They just place a facade over their issues as to where Chester was telling them in front of your face.. That society has a bunch of shit within themselves.. I want you to replay this entire video and watch all of the band members 'performing' in the background. Then I want you to look at the name of the artist performing on the video. It says LINKIN PARK, not Chester Bennington. We were promised a Linkin Park song and we got a solo from Chester. The band members have no reason to even be there and they are wandering the stage awkwardly for most of it and pretending to play their instruments for the rest. We like the BAND. This is not a LINKIN PARK song. That was the biggest number one issue. Don't get LINKIN PARK fans on a LINKIN PARK facebook page excited about a LINKIN PARK song coming out and then give us a solo Chester Bennington song.
Shambolic Rhetoric dude you need to chill tf out this is a simplistic song there's not a ton of instrumental input piano, a few digital tones and drums and they focus on chester and kiiara cuz guess what... I totally 'got it' when it was released. Went around in my head for weeks waiting in anticipation of 'One More Light'. Saying 'Nobody bought it' is a generalised and unjust comment.As a Linkin Park fan from the moment I was introduced to them, I've loved all their work. Sometimes I have been absolutely floored by their lyrics but also their evolving & talent to embrace different music styles - I have enjoyed them all.1 in 4 people have Depression - No matter how much I thought depression wasn't real, I still got it in 2006. You can have everything going for you and for no reason, it appears and crushes the person you are. I am still positive & with help have become mostly happy again - I will never be the person I once was. Personally, I wish depression never existed. I would not want anyone to feel this way.We all lost Chester. His wife, children, Linkin Park bandmates & friends feel it most. As a fan I am grateful for Chester's lyrics/songs with LP. Love to all. xo

Having attempted suicide 3 times, I felt every word in this song! The first time I heard it was sadly after he passed away. I heard his pain in his other songs such as Numb, One More Light, and In The End. I struggle with depression and anxiety and it’s hard reaching out to people who don’t understand. I have always hated it when people say that those who commit suicide are just selfish. How many times did Chester cry out and express his pain when nobody took him seriously? He just wanted the pain to end and the only way he knew how was to commit suicide. My heart still breaks for him today. I can’t imagine what his last days were like, but I can understand the pain of rejection and criticism. Chester was a beautiful soul who gave us a beautiful gift of his existence and music.

Most people have never experienced a neurological disorder like severe unipolar depression with suicidal thoughts so they cant connect with a lot of songs written in the way our depressed brains work. I got to see Shinoda’s amazing “Looking For An Answer” live as well as some of my favorites from the 90s/00s joining with the rest of the band to perform all the hits. It wasn’t Chester, but it was as close as I’ll ever get. Even heard Daron from System of A Down who I feel has a similar ability to sing both soft and hard like Chester.
Superunknown was one of the 1st CD’s I ever bought. My favorite song on there was “Fell On Black Days”, a similar message to “Heavy”. 1st CD that wasn’t a greatest hits that I could listen to all the way through was “Hybrid Theory”. I just hate that I didn’t like this the 1st time I heard it and went straight to “Waiting For The End” only to realize this song would have the biggest impact being Chester’s actual “Good Goodbye” 😢

The song "Heavy" tells about a problem, about a depression experienced by Chester Bennington. In his 2017 interview with 102.7 KIIS FM radio, Chester Bennington. (Vocalist Linkin Park) said that the problem and depression, came from within himself, causing emotional tension inside.
How could he write such lyrics that speak out what i have never been able to express. 2020 and still crying. Chester i hope you are at peace now. It is an extremely difficult life living with depression, how even the smallest things can give you such a hard time and hit you like wrecking ball out of nowhere.

When I heard this song for the first time I was like "Well, thats an amazing song; let's see if they have other good songs!" . Then I got completely addicted to their music and hoped, that they would come to germany one day, so I would be able to go to one of their concerts.
