They may be offensive but there is some humour in them, but it is the chants about those that have died in football tragedies such as Munich, Heysel and Hillsborough that are truly offensive .
As long as they aren't personal its fine, if its taking the mick in a cheerful football banter way and its not personal its fine - when it gets personal and too blatantly racist or offensive then it crosses the line and you can hear in those chants that very few people sing them like the Adebayoor chant

I mean, it's largely accurate considering he was convicted of grooming and sexual activity with a child. Since the victim was at the time 15 the phrase "little children" probably isn't all that accurate but that's within poetic license as far as I'm concerned considering what he did.

i didn't make it over to the u.k. til' the late 90's and by then the whole football hooligan thang was pretty much over. i would have loved to attend a big match in the 70's or 80's that would've been awesome. millwall, leeds, man. united, rangers, etc. the teams that had the real infamous hooligan followings.
