Brock Purdy looks like the teenager in a barbeque who was pulled by one of his uncles to join the adults' table. Then given his first bottle of beer and had to listen to his uncles' stories.
Young, Garcia, and Alex Smith have that Candlestick pride and memories that Brock will never experience, but he has Levi's, and already made a lot of memories for himself and the Faithful and he's only in his 3rd year.. i'm sure there will be plenty more to come.
Jeff Garcia made me a 49ers fan he grew up in my town and went to my high school in Gilroy ca home of the 408 faithful and he also has a Hispanic last name

As a 30 year old, these are my 4 favorite Niner QBs
*Montana & Young are 2 of the greats, but you not putting Kapernick on your Top list. I'm a Steelers guy but Kap was on his way and a specimen. Easily the 3rd best QB to done the Niner jersey*

Candlestick was TRASH. But it was OUR Trash. I miss that place. You had to bring a jacket even if it was 90 at kickoff. And the traffic leaving that place was crazy. LOL
*Places like Candlestick are mystique. They should leave it as a museum. Yankees Stadium, the house that Ruth built. How does MLB or the city of New York tear that place down. Soldier Field in Chicago and Lambeau Field will never go away. Fenway Park with the Red Sox or Boston Garden Celtics. The Knicks the mecca, Madison Square. The O's in Baltimore with the Clock 🕰️ These places should be revamped, saved, and used year after year. Memories are the best parts in Life*

I was just looking at the 49ers all time passing leaders. Sorted by Yards per game, 4 of the top 6 are all under Kyle Shanahan:
Nick Mullens 248.1
Jimmy G 238.6
Brock Purdy 233.9
Garcia 227.1 & Montana 210.3 are ranked #4 and #5.
Brian Hoyer at 207.5 is the 6th.
Yes, the passing game has opened up over the years, but give credit for that.

Alex probably had his own issues but this team did him DIRTY in the first seven years of his career. They should have found an offense they could run that tailored to Alex's ability as a spread qb. They refused. They hired defensive coaches who couldn't manage games, Singletary especially. That guy would have failed with Peyton Manning. He had MIKE MARTZ as OC and couldn't make it work.
He had Mike Martz one season and I don't think they got along Nolan is the one I feel bad for they just kept hiring his guys from under him

Kap is missing because he was awful and not a true QB. Horribly inaccurate and then bowed out to take a knee after his play declined severely after one somewhat good season.

He wasn't a 'Game Manager'. Dude had 3 offensive coordinators in 4 years. That would make any QB look bad. Also, he's part of the reason Patrick Mahomes plays as well as he does.

And for a while after that i thought they had the right guy, but then he just kept getting worse and worse. The league caught onto his tendencies and he had more delay of game calls than anybody else during that period. Also Blaine Gabbert took his job and that's just not acceptable. Dark years for sure
