Omg, when I first came to Greater Grace, Donald Vails was the Minister of Music. Never will be another one like him. This was the time when SAINTS were trying to live a sanctified life. Different world today. In all the trials of life, Christ is the ONE! This song takes my mind back when I was a teenager at Grace during this time, salvation meant something. "Salvation is free, but it ain't cheap". Thank you for posting and taking my mind back to my first Love, God in Christ.
This was soooo good. Thank you for posting. I first met Donald Vails in 1978 during my first summer job, singing in a choir, for him at this church. I praise the Lord for the memories of such an experience. I was 14 then and 55 now. Still in love with the Lord!
Thank God Our Creator for these tapes of yesteryear! The anointing of the Holy Ghost is felt in these songs! This is what I truly Thank the Lord for. The Message, the Praise, and the Visitation of the spirit of of God ! Thank You Holy Ghost!
The thing I like about good Gospel music it is as relevant today as it was in the 80s. I'm so glad Jesus the same yesterday today and forever more. Thankful for this forum
My Lord! just found out why I haven't heard of my dear classmate, Donald Vails, from Turner High School in Atl, Ga. The first time I was graced with the special-ness and talent of Donald was in Music Appreciation class by Mr. Trannus Long at Turner HS. I reflect on the first time we saw Donald get the Holy Ghost publicly at Mt Moria Church while playing the organ during service. The last time I saw him sing and play was at Ebenezer Church in Ft. Washington, MD (SE DC). A memory that causes me to smile is that at Turner HS there were at least three girls that where head-over-heels infatuated with Donald :) . Many of us were persuaded to not pursue our love of music , as the two of us were, I have, however, happy that Donald went back and fetched his love-the Love of the Spirit of God!
It is so good to see my friend, such an anointed minister of music! Thank you God for the awesome musicality Donald had and for the many songs that will live into infamy. Thanks for this blessed ministry.
Love Donald Vails
I want to meet him when I get to heaven.

Barbara Larkins. My Elementary School Buddy. I never knew she was in the DV Choraleers
unfortunately "the Praise Team" has taken the place of good, spirit-filled, gospel singing choirs like this in most churches
Say it again for the folks in the back!
So true and very sad. They have crept in and took over. Lord bring this back to the church.
..spotlighting themselves instead of the Lord and excluding congregational singing that uplifts everyone and glorifies Jesus.
