You need to fuse the power cable near the battery, if not the length of cable to the rear is not protected & if it chaffs on anything will set your car on fire. Just a friendly tip.
Maybe move it in the future but it was wired like that in my old car for over a year and never had a problem but I should do it properly to be safe.
Yeah I was gonna say the whole point of the fuse is to cut the power as close to the battery as possible, as if something were to chafe that wire would be live all the way through the car, it needs to be near the battery so it can cut itself off with no damage, also let me tell you your insurance wouldn't cover that.

You should add another fuse at the front near the battery as you have already fitted the cable nice install 👌👌

The fuse should be battery end of the cable otherwise the cable isn't protected. The ground should not be attached to the seat, but to a decent chassis grounding point. The audio cable should be run on the opposite side of the car to the power cables.
And it's a nut, not a bolt!

Doesn't the power cable need to go down 1 side of car and other cables remote and speaker wire need to go down other side also it's not grounded properly and fuse should b close to battery incase of a fire it wont travel down all the power wire
No doesn’t matter where all the wires go and will eventually re wire the 12v
@@MrBillyVlogs I always through it can cause interference if there all down same side it's like a mic being by a speaker
@@lucasjones2516 Everyone just puts its all down one side its completly fine however where I wired the fuse I will re-wire that eventually just never had a problem where it is now so...
I put power cable down opposite side to rca and remote cables in my mk6 st150 as interference can b caused otherwise

Where can i buy that stereo cover / frame?
I just removed the original car stereo & the after market one is leaving gaps on the side of the tape.
the fuse must to the Battery. if you have an acciedent your car can much more easy catch on fire. and maybe you or a friend stuck in this burninig car. some one hit you hard on the side and than some one stuck and this car that's catch fire.
And the earth is not grounded to the chassis not a proper ground go to a audio fitter and he will tell you how to do it properly but great effort tho
Ground is a ground if it works it works you’re just going to lose money going to a professional when their super easy to install.
i have a mk6 too and want to get 2000 watts rms is this overkill or is this good?
At the moment I have a 300 watt rms subwoofer and that sits just fine for me at the moment but 2000 watts rms is plenty. Just be careful of the flexing of stuff,I’ve had a fair share of it, if you do,try to use wiring close to 4 gauge wiring to handle the power usage

Good efford but wiring the ground should be to the chassis with clean contact by filing down the paint.. Stick a multi meter from your ground of your amp to your boot hatch. Should read less than 0.5ohm for clean ground otherwise you can damage the amp and most likely cause a fire..
Although these subs are absolute wank you might be alright. They're probably not even 250W RMS.. If the fuse is 20A chances are it's only 150W RMS.

Little bit late but is this posible with a standard radio to?
Not sure if anything go to your local car radio shop they might be able to help you with the standard stereo but it is much cheaper to just buy a sony stereo and do it yourself.

@@sidshit Lol even later, but there's something called a line out convertor, you splice into the door speaker cables, and it gives you the RCA ports you need to send a signal to the sub :3
