@ that is very kind of you to offer. I do not have a dry suit..I ended up selling my kayak due to a medical condition which is why I’ve gone power now. But it would be great if we could maybe get out together when the new boat arrives. Cheers 🤙🏼😎🎣
@keep_on_fishing sure do! I work Tuesday night but could probably do a Wednesday afternoon fish, Saturday was looking half decent as well in the later morning
Hey Mike, you lucky man. I couldn’t believe you landed that fish . 😂 And yes, you need a bigger net. Keep the video coming, we here in CA have the salmon season closed for 2 years now.😢
Hi James! Thanks for the comment! So funny, I started kayak fishing 3 years ago from watching all the RUclipsrs from California! Die hard fishing, moo moo outdoors, lost anchovy, all RUclipsrs that inspired me to take up this sport! Thanks for watching and please, consider the trip to Vancouver Island. Fishing here is unreal!
@@keep_on_fishing yeah I find the 80 cm slot limit comes in at right around 16. 30 inches putting that one at 76 could mean a 15 for sure!! Sweet fish im jealous (I've fished 60 hours this year for winter chinook without a keeper)
These are non spawning salmon that hang around this area all year round. Normally they are 200 to 300 feet but for some reason they are biting at 140 this year. Catching a winter Chinook is like catching a unicorn!
Well done!
Hey thanks for watching! Appreciate the comment!
Epic battle man .. what a day out there. Thanks for the video !!
Hey thanks! I was not expecting to land that one.... It was a battle.
Good stuff!
Thanks for the comment! Some good fishing out there right now!
Wow huge winter!! Nice job bud!
Lots of reports of Huge winter Chinooks being caught this year. Go get some!
@ just sold my boat & waiting on my new one unfortunately. Thought it was a good time to make the switch 😬
Do you have a drysuit? If you're ever interested I have two kayaks if u wanna give it a try.

@@canadianhuntnfish I'm down! You may have seen me out there with my buddy. We are always on his 18 foot legend aluminum out by neck point.
Hell yeah bro! Great fish, with great conditions, doesn't get any better than that! Nice work! 👏👏👏
Do you have a dry suit? Next Tuesday and Wednesday calling for flat calm again!

Funny thing, I know all those guys and I fish with them sometimes. lol.
Time for a bigger net😂😂😂😂
Ya I'm on Amazon looking right now. That's a temu net....😂
What an ABSOLUTE MONSTER!!! Congrats!
Hey thanks! I was so much fun bringing it in. People on the boardwalk at neck point were spectating! Lots of fun.
An incredible Winter! Beauty catch and conditions. Also, like that side camera perspective, I might do something like that this season. 🙂
Ya the family spoiled me this Christmas with the go pro 13. Some pretty cool lenses you can attach to it as well....let's get out there!!
Nice nice winter mate!
Message me back here when you’re going out next. Might go this Wednesday myself.
Hey Andrew sorry I missed this message! Hopefully the conditions hold and we can get out there Saturday!
did you weight it?? I would guess 14. That's an amazing winter man congrats
I didn't weigh it but I figure 13 to 15 easy. It was super thick! Nice slabs for the freezer!
She came in just shy of 30 inches.

Salmon in January what ??How

@ Dang that’s cool never even heard of them and live in oregon, so they just like live in the bays
@@Gio-fishing12 yes! Reason why it's such a thrill to catch them. They are not abundant and anglers consider these winter Chinooks to be trophy fish!
