Mexico City is full of smog, noise pollution, smelly people, etc. In short, it was a cesspool then and it is a cesspool now, with all the drug cartel, robbers and many unpleasant people around. I didn`t enjoy myself up there in Mexico City. In fact, I felt like a fish out of water. I was like "I wanna go home! " or "I`d rather be in the USA".But I`m not commenting here how good or bad Mexico City is. What I`m saying here is that Mexico City was rarely visited by top notch rockers, like The Police, for instance. Now, it has become a popular venue for any rock band, mostly British or American.

Mejor digamos que The Police fue la inspiración para que en América surgiera el llamado Rock Latino en la década del 80
