ehhh not actually no, the reason it was hyped its because one piece games and anime games in general had awful graphics due to the era we played on, gpo was one if not the first anime and op game to make semi-great graphics which did mold the insane vfx we have nowadays on every game.
I do want to say, as another developer on the platform : GPO is a management nightmare. I do not believe they've actually put in any of their own work for the past 2 or 3 years, and a LOT of the content in these updates are purchased directly from a vfx/programming server that I continently stumbled upon while investigating the game's developers, which brings me to my second point. The developers are freaks. Unironically. I made an entire video on them (I was banned for said video) and how they're in a bunch of NSFW servers that are filled with minors. Knowingly. I do not expect this game to make it another year, especially with Rell Seas coming. Just pack up and call it quits, it's not worth it anymore.

dosen't fix the lack of replaybility and unfun combat that just boils down to who has the harder hitting combo that you can consistently repeat and being able to perfect block anything. Punishing cheaters is non existent, repetitive non-worth it grind fest. Economy is hyperbolic and isn't fun to intereact with. What your describing is a shorter grind blox fruits with empty islands with the grinding circle of doom and 0.1% drop boss rates.

Only bad thing about Blox Fruits is the slow and boring level process and Gpo is tied with it when it comes to leveling up Other wise it beats GPO in balance since certain fruits and weapons don't dictate the meta, you can actually use things that aren't considered meta and still have a good chance of winning your fights. And despite to lack of m1s you are still punished hard if you just spam your moves. You also have reliable ways to get out of one shot combos In GPO you are gonna get curb stomped if you catch anyone using something like Venom, Dark Blade, Mera, Pika, or really anything new. If you aren't using anything equally as broken you just die. And this is accross all game modes, BR is spam fruit hell, and Impel Down is Venom Paradise. Gpo Pvp is a stun simulator even with evasives, some weapons and fruits either make an evasive useless or immediately catch someone off of an evasive to either continue a combo or get free damage. Gpo grinding just also sucks, rates are stupidly low and people will barely actually experience the update's content because of it. In Blox Fruits it takes a long to to grind but you are atleast guaranteed to get what you want in the end

finally someone who realizes the current problem with gpo, it used to be a good game but throughout time it just went downhill and phoeyu just gave up, they wont put in effort to try and make actual original ideas and address the problems, not only that but the wait time for updates just makes it a seasonal game, for example yall remember leopard? that was sneaked on late 2023, or remember when he said "Gears for gomu will be added as the game updates" that was literaly mid 2023.
not to mention it took them almost a year to publish the bleach and admiral outfits into the game while also completely scrapping the idea for wax fruit, not releasing the chop fruit which was suppose to come along with 2ss, and having sneaked the dragon fruit for almost half a year now. another problem is the insane amount of things you have to go through as a f2p player. you cant even store fruits in the game unless you have a gamepass, and the fact you need to spend robux to reset your stat points and change fruits is crazy. the game is just a huge cashgrab.

should also mention how hard pho ruined trading and just the general value of everything in the game by adding legendary chests and then making the cap for them 5. i remember when legendary fruits were actually worth something, i used to make alt accounts just in case i got a duplicate fruit from a dungeon. now i just throw it on the ground and leave the game. even small items used to have value: kraken armor, drums etc. now it feels like unless u have 8 mochis, 3 kikokus, 7 all seeing eyes and 2 jfits, u cant get anything. the gap between low tier items and high tier items has just been increasing with each update. and its genuinely what killed the game for me. u have to sell your soul to be able to get a single ASE.

Every GPO boss in a nutshell: 9 Trillion HP 50% defense has 6 moves that do over 500 damage, burn, and disable geppo, summons 20 minions that have over 300k hp, aoe that hits almost the entire sea, and heals anytime someone dies within 300 miles of it
every update from now is going to include at least 1 mythic weapon, fruit or maybe an armor that requires u to grind day in and day out, and every event is going to include some 5000+ robux item that looks cool
GPO was such a disappointment, on release this game was fun when I was playing with a group of friends, but man there was like no content. The game had like 6 fruits and only 2 of them were paramecia types and the rest were logia, no zoans. Updates were and still are slow (Im okay with updates taking time, but alabasta took 8 months to come out and only had 2 hours worth of content and the same is true with thriller Bark) finished content was literally pushed back so they could pad out future updates (The Bomb fruit was completed before the games release yet it wasn't added until update 1, and it was confirmed that both Phoenix and Gravity were completed before update 1 came out, yet they weren't added till update 2.) So much content has been shown years ago, yet it's still not in the game (Dragon Fruit, Leopard Fruit, Gear 4) not to mention that Mihaw's hat, fit, and yoru were shown off near the game's release and only recently got added. GPO literally does not feel like it was made by people who have watched one piece or even liked one piece. It feels like the devs watched clips of the show and just added content based off of it. PHOEYU LITERALLY JUST SHOWCASED THE SMOKE FRUIT LIKE A WEEK AGO, BRO THAT SHOULD OF ALREADY BEEN IN THE GAME 😭😭😭

My personal problem with this game is the leveling holy shit it's so terrible you would think after playing blox fruits grinding 2550 levels or after play king legacy grinding 4800 levels 575 would be light work but I leveled up one account and another but the 3rd one was just so exhausting the exp meter crawls CRAWLS to get you to the other level and just repeating the same quest for 120 levels is so boring I hope they fix the leveling system
Yap session warning. If you "ain't readin allat", don't read it. Abysmal drop rates when most of these basic items are damn near required to make decent progress in the game (accessories that all matter are legit 1% or lower), making bosses extremely hard to solo/nigh impossible to solo (bosses can geppo update, ironically, this point also goes hand in hand with the abysmal drop rates point, since the bosses with the good armor/accessories are all insanely annoying to kill), increasing level caps but also reducing stat scaling (essentially making the increased level cap moot and just forces extra grind to get back the same level of power you previously had), races giving more than just stat buffs (Dullahan, a race that is locked behind limited time events with the biggest stat buff of all races, 15% to stamina. Mink has 10%, and fighting style exclusive to itself. Fighting Style may be mid, but the fact remains it's content locked behind an arbitrary time limited event that not everyone will get access to), usable weapons locked behind a god forsaken battle pass system (if you don't feel like shilling out, at the time of writing this comment, a whopping $110 worth of robux, 100 for 10k, 10 more for another 1k), basic quality of life features locked behind a paywall (looking at you Bomi Log pose and Fruit Journal. These things should not be locked behind a paywall considering how simple they are to implement into the game). The most annoying of these things is the reduced stat scaling every god damned update. You increase the level caps only to make stats scale back down to practically, what the previous level cap was. My character when 425 was the max felt super powerful, meanwhile my character who is now 625 with arguably way better stuff and a massive arsenal up their a** feels like a LV 100 goon. I went from being the 400 mafia boss to a LV 50 goon. Legit, if it wasn't for the abysmal stat scaling in GPO now, most players would be on par with most 1st Sea bosses in terms of HP and damage. (Which is a bad thing because..?) You have bosses with 12-20k HP and then nerf major tools players use to fight these bosses. OR, do all of that and then make the boss literally impossible to solo. (If someone does end up finding a way, it gets patched out.) Welcome to GPO, on the decline since Year 3 (imho)
This game had so much potential to be a competitor to blox fruits. Times where dungeons was actually cool to do, and logias was worth more than an sp reset. Everything, literally everything that was fun was removed, nerfed or just overriden by a better thing. There's literrally no love put on this game, just some expensive ass gamepasses and good graphics. Another dissapointment, is how they don't gave a fuck to who bought the game, they gave a fucking useless hat for players that played the game on early acess. This game is no fun anymore, theres nothing cool to do, it's just massive farming and trading.
gpo hit its peak at upd 4 and spiraled downhill from there, from the release of paid access and battle royale, it ruined values for everything and made everything incredibly easy to get, what used to be an amazing feeling of "OH MY GOD I GOT A LEGENDARY FRUIT FINALLY!" turned into "oh ok, i got this easy to get fruit now". the reason the game was enjoyed was BECAUSE everything was hard to get, just like in the actual anime, its the reason the thrill of getting a good fruit nowadays is gone, the only thing anyone cares about now is chests and items, i remember the days of back when tori, pika and magu was actually worth something but now its literally nothing. im not defending gpo, as any player of this game would, the game has given both good and bad memories, ive played br long enough since its release and till now to know its BOTH RNG AND SKILL BASED sort of, there are plenty of videos of people winning br games without the need for meta fruits like mera or venom and with just pure skill, but on the other hand u could just fruit spam with meta to win, the problem of teamers i agree with too, another problem too is that this game DOES have the potential to actually be on the front page of roblox more, it just needs to be consistent with updates which never happens because if u didnt know before, kxro has already said that they dont actually work on the updates until 2 weeks prior to the actual update which is when phoeyu starts telling them to work on something while he lazes off to go play league or val

I liked GPO for the unique experience/pvp. But honestly it’s just so unbalanced and unfun now. that stupid ass battle royale is the reason my laptop is broken. I fucking punched it. As much as I want this game to be good, to fix the biggest problem right now on Roblox (cheap simulator/bandit beater games being more popular than they need to be) it simply isn’t, and if RELL Seas doesn’t release their game soon I might honestly quit Roblox when I’m done finishing my game, which isn’t a bandit beater!

Gpo could have been a good game if only it had an owner who actually knows how to make decisions. Phoeyu is the equivalent of Uzu (the creator of Yba) when it comes to making excuses just to not release content and then disappearing for a while 5 seconds later (and don't even mention content creators like Infernasu or DiddyProdigy who give Phoeyu more support).

The problem is after the first starter island literally every boss drop NEVER goes above 5% drop chance (and even that high is rare, usually it's 1 to 2% sometimes even lower). I don't wanna grind a boss for hours and hours and hours for one thing when it's chance based, because I know I might just not got it. It hardly feels like you're working towards anything. Idk if pho just wanted a super active trading community, but the trading sucks BECAUSE everything is so rare. Trading should be a fun extra thing not "give me half your inventory for yet another 0.5% drop"
Deepwoken has a LOT of issues and there's so much I dislike about it. Yet, somehow, it still manages to be like one of the top 3 games on the platform. The fact that the game costs 5$ and averages 15 - 20k players nearly 3 years after release is no small feat, especially on Roblox.

For example, calvus and carina drops are basically mandatory for berserker and fighting style classes, and also most vitality classes cause you don't need the defense from sunken. Also, rear admiral Amelia has the best cape in the game. Cernyx set is a viable alternative if you don't have sunken warrior. General Valerie armor is the drippiest in the game
fruits are about 20x more abundant per player than they were 2 years ago though. ever since legendary chests came about inflation has hit gpo hard. even with this inflation, rare items are still harder to come by in gpo than they are in other games.
i have 300 lose and 0 win in battle royale cuse i litterly can't find a good loot onces i litterly killed 12 dudes with vera whipes and 2 was mera users but the players was keeping jumping me one after one so i coundl't even eat the mera untill the 13th player killed me with another guy 3rd party thats how my luck realy bad and if i didnt kill everybody in final circle i just lose cuse the all players in final circle makes me ping around 4000 to 2000 which can't use m1 bruh

The amount of people that have praised this game like pho was their father is abysmal and this review should have been said another thousand times from each and every youtuber. Pho genuinely hates his player base and he gains more people that way and it annoys me constantly.

Other wise it beats GPO in balance since certain fruits and weapons don't dictate the meta, you can actually use things that aren't considered meta and still have a good chance of winning your fights. And despite to lack of m1s you are still punished hard if you just spam your moves. You also have reliable ways to get out of one shot combos
In GPO you are gonna get curb stomped if you catch anyone using something like Venom, Dark Blade, Mera, Pika, or really anything new. If you aren't using anything equally as broken you just die. And this is accross all game modes, BR is spam fruit hell, and Impel Down is Venom Paradise. Gpo Pvp is a stun simulator even with evasives, some weapons and fruits either make an evasive useless or immediately catch someone off of an evasive to either continue a combo or get free damage.
Gpo grinding just also sucks, rates are stupidly low and people will barely actually experience the update's content because of it. In Blox Fruits it takes a long to to grind but you are atleast guaranteed to get what you want in the end

finally someone who realizes the current problem with gpo, it used to be a good game but throughout time it just went downhill and phoeyu just gave up, they wont put in effort to try and make actual original ideas and address the problems, not only that but the wait time for updates just makes it a seasonal game, for example yall remember leopard? that was sneaked on late 2023, or remember when he said "Gears for gomu will be added as the game updates" that was literaly mid 2023.
not to mention it took them almost a year to publish the bleach and admiral outfits into the game while also completely scrapping the idea for wax fruit, not releasing the chop fruit which was suppose to come along with 2ss, and having sneaked the dragon fruit for almost half a year now. Also battle royal was a total mess for like 2 years being ruled by hackers and teamers making it impossible to even win in a legit way, and allowing gamebreaking 1v1 bugs to go unpunished like move stacking

another problem is the insane amount of things you have to go through as a f2p player. you cant even store fruits in the game unless you have a gamepass, and the fact you need to spend robux to reset your stat points and change fruits is crazy. the game is just a huge cashgrab.

should also mention how hard pho ruined trading and just the general value of everything in the game by adding legendary chests and then making the cap for them 5. i remember when legendary fruits were actually worth something, i used to make alt accounts just in case i got a duplicate fruit from a dungeon. now i just throw it on the ground and leave the game. even small items used to have value: kraken armor, drums etc. now it feels like unless u have 8 mochis, 3 kikokus, 7 all seeing eyes and 2 jfits, u cant get anything. the gap between low tier items and high tier items has just been increasing with each update. and its genuinely what killed the game for me. u have to sell your soul to be able to get a single ASE.

1. Follows up the same repetetive formula that every farming involved game implements: Update >>> Something extremly broken >>> Long ass farming methods >>> Balance problems including PVP/PVE >>> Gets nerfed or forgotten BC THEY ADDED SOMETHING MORE BROKEN.
2. Devs and money: I mean is not a great deal how sassy microtrasaccions are in GPO and still with all broken stuff bougth farming stills begin a PAIN "Want a great experience?" - Buy ASE, "Want a cool build?" - Buy Mythic chests (Or sell half your soul on +20 hours impel farming) the same, the same, THE SAME OVER AND OVER AND OVER. Also im not talking about New specs begin Hella broken in both ways (Buggy and Overpowered) bc shi is so, so, SO BAD that the only way to counter this literaly log, get out, touch grass, get a girlfrend AND NEVER PLAY GPO AGAIN.
3. Same goes for bloxs fruits but yall know this game is desing in a specific way to suck out the money of kiddos.

Every GPO boss in a nutshell: 9 Trillion HP 50% defense has 6 moves that do over 500 damage, burn, and disable geppo, summons 20 minions that have over 300k hp, aoe that hits almost the entire sea, and heals anytime someone dies within 300 miles of it
every update from now is going to include at least 1 mythic weapon, fruit or maybe an armor that requires u to grind day in and day out, and every event is going to include some 5000+ robux item that looks cool
GPO trading is like a demo for real HELL
GPO was such a disappointment, on release this game was fun when I was playing with a group of friends, but man there was like no content. The game had like 6 fruits and only 2 of them were paramecia types and the rest were logia, no zoans.
Updates were and still are slow (Im okay with updates taking time, but alabasta took 8 months to come out and only had 2 hours worth of content and the same is true with thriller Bark)
finished content was literally pushed back so they could pad out future updates (The Bomb fruit was completed before the games release yet it wasn't added until update 1, and it was confirmed that both Phoenix and Gravity were completed before update 1 came out, yet they weren't added till update 2.)
So much content has been shown years ago, yet it's still not in the game (Dragon Fruit, Leopard Fruit, Gear 4) not to mention that Mihaw's hat, fit, and yoru were shown off near the game's release and only recently got added.
GPO literally does not feel like it was made by people who have watched one piece or even liked one piece. It feels like the devs watched clips of the show and just added content based off of it.

My personal problem with this game is the leveling holy shit it's so terrible you would think after playing blox fruits grinding 2550 levels or after play king legacy grinding 4800 levels 575 would be light work but I leveled up one account and another but the 3rd one was just so exhausting the exp meter crawls CRAWLS to get you to the other level and just repeating the same quest for 120 levels is so boring I hope they fix the leveling system

Abysmal drop rates when most of these basic items are damn near required to make decent progress in the game (accessories that all matter are legit 1% or lower), making bosses extremely hard to solo/nigh impossible to solo (bosses can geppo update, ironically, this point also goes hand in hand with the abysmal drop rates point, since the bosses with the good armor/accessories are all insanely annoying to kill), increasing level caps but also reducing stat scaling (essentially making the increased level cap moot and just forces extra grind to get back the same level of power you previously had), races giving more than just stat buffs (Dullahan, a race that is locked behind limited time events with the biggest stat buff of all races, 15% to stamina. Mink has 10%, and fighting style exclusive to itself. Fighting Style may be mid, but the fact remains it's content locked behind an arbitrary time limited event that not everyone will get access to), usable weapons locked behind a god forsaken battle pass system (if you don't feel like shilling out, at the time of writing this comment, a whopping $110 worth of robux, 100 for 10k, 10 more for another 1k), basic quality of life features locked behind a paywall (looking at you Bomi Log pose and Fruit Journal. These things should not be locked behind a paywall considering how simple they are to implement into the game).
The most annoying of these things is the reduced stat scaling every god damned update. You increase the level caps only to make stats scale back down to practically, what the previous level cap was. My character when 425 was the max felt super powerful, meanwhile my character who is now 625 with arguably way better stuff and a massive arsenal up their a** feels like a LV 100 goon. I went from being the 400 mafia boss to a LV 50 goon. Legit, if it wasn't for the abysmal stat scaling in GPO now, most players would be on par with most 1st Sea bosses in terms of HP and damage. (Which is a bad thing because..?) You have bosses with 12-20k HP and then nerf major tools players use to fight these bosses. OR, do all of that and then make the boss literally impossible to solo. (If someone does end up finding a way, it gets patched out.)

This game had so much potential to be a competitor to blox fruits.
Times where dungeons was actually cool to do, and logias was worth more than an sp reset.
Everything, literally everything that was fun was removed, nerfed or just overriden by a better thing.
There's literrally no love put on this game, just some expensive ass gamepasses and good graphics.
Another dissapointment, is how they don't gave a fuck to who bought the game, they gave a fucking useless hat for players that played the game on early acess.

gpo hit its peak at upd 4 and spiraled downhill from there, from the release of paid access and battle royale, it ruined values for everything and made everything incredibly easy to get, what used to be an amazing feeling of "OH MY GOD I GOT A LEGENDARY FRUIT FINALLY!" turned into "oh ok, i got this easy to get fruit now". the reason the game was enjoyed was BECAUSE everything was hard to get, just like in the actual anime, its the reason the thrill of getting a good fruit nowadays is gone, the only thing anyone cares about now is chests and items, i remember the days of back when tori, pika and magu was actually worth something but now its literally nothing. im not defending gpo, as any player of this game would, the game has given both good and bad memories, ive played br long enough since its release and till now to know its BOTH RNG AND SKILL BASED sort of, there are plenty of videos of people winning br games without the need for meta fruits like mera or venom and with just pure skill, but on the other hand u could just fruit spam with meta to win, the problem of teamers i agree with too, another problem too is that this game DOES have the potential to actually be on the front page of roblox more, it just needs to be consistent with updates which never happens because if u didnt know before, kxro has already said that they dont actually work on the updates until 2 weeks prior to the actual update which is when phoeyu starts telling them to work on something while he lazes off to go play league or val

Gpo could have been a good game if only it had an owner who actually knows how to make decisions. Phoeyu is the equivalent of Uzu (the creator of Yba) when it comes to making excuses just to not release content and then disappearing for a while 5 seconds later (and don't even mention content creators like Infernasu or DiddyProdigy who give Phoeyu more support).

The problem is after the first starter island literally every boss drop NEVER goes above 5% drop chance (and even that high is rare, usually it's 1 to 2% sometimes even lower). I don't wanna grind a boss for hours and hours and hours for one thing when it's chance based, because I know I might just not got it. It hardly feels like you're working towards anything. Idk if pho just wanted a super active trading community, but the trading sucks BECAUSE everything is so rare. Trading should be a fun extra thing not "give me half your inventory for yet another 0.5% drop"

Deepwoken has a LOT of issues and there's so much I dislike about it. Yet, somehow, it still manages to be like one of the top 3 games on the platform. The fact that the game costs 5$ and averages 15 - 20k players nearly 3 years after release is no small feat, especially on Roblox.

For example, calvus and carina drops are basically mandatory for berserker and fighting style classes, and also most vitality classes cause you don't need the defense from sunken. Also, rear admiral Amelia has the best cape in the game. Cernyx set is a viable alternative if you don't have sunken warrior. General Valerie armor is the drippiest in the game

fruits are about 20x more abundant per player than they were 2 years ago though. ever since legendary chests came about inflation has hit gpo hard. even with this inflation, rare items are still harder to come by in gpo than they are in other games.
