Yes during this alpha period, ownership of land is required to play but there is also a land delegation system. If you join the Axie discord you may be able to find someone willing to lend you a land plot.
During this Beta launch, only Land owners will be able to test. Don't feel bad though. All progress made in this game will be reset when the full game launches, so everyone will be on the same playing field. And there will be access for non land owners too.

That is an interesting concept. The charts are looking good as of today, SLP is a deflationary asset and is being burned far more than it is being created. It's important not to go to far though. If EVERYTHING costs SLP then that could create another short term bubble which could throw everything out of equilibrium. Then it could crash again. Sustainability and structure are key to a bright future.

That happened to me. I think you have to login the account you own land in. Pretty sure you have to have land to play.

How do you integrate your axies from your ronin wallet?
It's self contained in the version I have, so just "gold" I think SLP and AXS utility may come later?
They are slowly killing the SLP, and they will introduce a new token... Cycle continues.
This launch is just the beta (phase 1), NFT Axies will come with phase 2 I believe.
Use case for SLP not specified yet.
