The pages you did today are breathtaking! Actually, the whole journal is!!! Placing the napkin border at the top of your peacock page was a stroke of genius. I enjoyed this month and am so grateful for your time and creative guidance. TFS. 🙏💞👍
I love these videos! Simple but beautiful ideas and you show how to do multiple pages in one video! So many would just do one page at a time! So thank you!
You're not gross! Just needed to pauze the video and get that out. 🤗 I really enjoy watching you work in your journals, they are so beautiful and fun. Anything use-your-stash/scraps and any re- or upcycling gets my vote!
Hi Nina, all 3 pages are stunning! I love your creative process and your colour coordination is absolutely wonderful. I can watch you all day! Hugs 🤗👍❤️
Beautiful pages (as always)! I'm relieved to hear of your fear of the sewing machine - my sentiments exactly and I thought I was the only one who felt that way! This is a lovely journal and I have enjoyed the whole process! Janet 🤗👍💕
I honestly think it’s a genuine phobia that many of us have. My eldest son is a whiz on the sewing machine and has won several quilting competitions since he was about 12 years old. He has tried to teach me so many times, but I just couldn’t get over that fear. I’d be ok when he was there with me, but the second I had to do anything on my own, the fear would kick in and I was grounded. When he left home, I had no choice but to muddle through. It’s taken me 3 years to finally feel confident, and I can now thread and change the bobbin without having to watch a YT video to guide me through the process. You are not alone 🥰 xxx
All three of these pages are beautiful Nina, you have inspired me to pull out my napkins for a play this morning. I have yet to dust off my sewing machine and use it in journaling. I did sew up a couple of new pillow covers last month, but no paper yet. Thanks so much, I always want your videos to be longer :) Have a great week.
Good morning nina, beautiful pages on what is going to be a beautuful autumnsunday in holland. This month has been a real treat to our eyes, enjoy this sunday and have a good week. Love and hugs lenaxxx
Good morning Lena. It’s going to be a beautiful day here too once the early morning mist clears. Turning much more unsettled and cooler from tomorrow. I will be in the garden today as many leaves and apples have fallen from the trees whilst we were away, so lots of work to do. Have a wonderful Sunday and a fabulous week ahead. Love and hugs, Nina 💕 xxxx
Nina, the pages you did on this day are my very favorite from the colors and patterns used to your particularly beautiful girls. I am so attracted to these vintage looks and they are my favorite way to create my pages in my own journals. You also make it look like so much fun to create. In love with these and your tastes. XOXOJane
I know it’s frightening how quickly this year is going. We’ve just got back from 2 weeks in Spain and it was wonderful to feel the sun on skin. Let’s hope we have a mild autumn 🤞💕 x
Thank you so much Nina, I really really enjoyed watching you create those outstanding page’s. Everything you’ve done here is absolutely inspirational and I really really love ❤️ all of it. I really really love ❤️ how you think 🤔 out of the box, and come up with such amazing ideas. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Th is so much for all the kind feedback you give Mags. I love working in this journal and will be sad when it’s finished. Thinking cap on now for ideas for the next one! Have a wonderful week 💕 xxxxx
Beautiful pages today. I am so enjoying your series with working this journal. You are very inspiring and I look forward to the next video. TFS *Debbie*
Stunning!! I'm just so happy to have joined watching this month. What a delightful month it's been watching learning and being so incredibly inspired by you, Nina.my inspiration journal is nearly full just this month watching and "playing" I sure would love to join in October however, we will be traveling via a road trip to visit children and 8 grandchildren not seen in 18 months. I'll be watching as you go along through the month however while not being inspired by the most stunning colors of the Autumn leaves as we head towards Vermont ( New England) USA. It's been a real pleasure getting to know you through the last 5 weeks! Blessings and thank you so very much for all you do to keep me inspired to new artistic home made Journals. 🥰🌻🍂🍄
Oh, "one more page", love to hear. Gorgeous, gorgeous napkins, again love the colours. I used tea dyed just copy paper I my journal as my base pages, so no stark white in there either,, lol.
I've almost forgotten. I have ordered my William Morris paper. I can hardly wait to receive it.. thank you for your previewing it in your artist inspired wild card!
Hi Nina, gorgeous pages again and your sewing is so neat now. Beautiful peacock napkin.🦚. I think all my work has got a little of my DNA in it lol. Not much crafting or gardening for me lately I’ve been flat on my back for the last 3 weeks with a bad back but slowly getting there. I’ve got so many napkins so I have to think of something to do with them . Tfs and have a great week . Hugs xx
Hi Marina, glad you like the pages. I also have a huge napkin collection which needs using up. Really must stop adding to it! Sorry to hear you are flat on your back. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Love and hug, Nina 💕 xxx
Thank you as always, for your excellent tutorial, another superb video. Your imaginations are endless, I love all that you do - sorry to be boring and always say the same thing, but it is true. This one is so pretty, I must give it a go - I do have some peacock napkins. Thank you very much. Have a great week ahead. Take care. xx
Your pages are absolutely stunning, I've loved this month's prompt, even though I haven't been able to participate much. So many fantastic ideas. Tfs xo
I love the gel print you used with the beautiful napkin, Nina. I’ve enjoyed these last two months watching you and Kylie create beauties to inspire us, even though I haven’t participated. Been crazy busy with friends and family coming out for some fun recreation, along with making holiday cards, so I’m not rushed. Thanks again for continuing the Mixed Emporium projects.
Thanks Cheryl, I must use up more of my napkins. Glad you are having a good time with friends and family. I can’t believe it’s time to start thinking about Christmas. Where has this year gone! Have a super week 💕
Absolutely gorgeous pages, again, Nina. I have been totally inspired by your work and have started organising my bits and bobs into photo albums which you were doing in a video not so long ago. I am really excited to get started. You have a brilliant eye for what works and your journals are just stunning. Thank you so much for sharing. x
Love your pages! Especially the Victorian lady😍 by the way changing the needle in your sewing machine couldn’t be easier. The first time I had to do it I panicked and thought it was going to be a huge ordeal but I found out that needles for sewing machines are universal. They do sell different types for different materials you are sewing. I use one that says it’s for jeans material so that I can sew my thick journal covers 😊💖
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia I think the jeans needle might be a bit rough on paper but I still use it. I lengthen the stitches and I think that helps cause I use the same needle for everything! I only change it if it breaks 😊
Gorgeous pages again this week, Nina. I love the way you have pulled all the elements together and co-ordinated the colours too. Well done you! Thank you for another lovely video.
I absolutely love the pages you completed today, your journal is a real work of art! I have thoroughly enjoyed the month-long prompts and all of the inspiring videos you and Kylie have done, it is so nice to have them to go back to for inspiration because we don’t always have the time to give in the actual month. It's so funny that you're afraid of the sewing machine! I'm not afraid of it but for the life of me I can't sew in a straight line LOL. Loving all your pages!
I'm just playing catch up, sorry I didn't participate in this months prompt, I wasn't doing very much creating at all really... These were all lovely pages as usual Nina 😊💖
Lovely pages again.I still haven’t done anything with my sewing machine, apart from thread bobbin, and needle, and do a very small practice bit on the material that came with it 🙈x
Hi Pat, the supermarkets here in the U.K. sell some fabulous napkins, especially Waitrose. I also get a lot from our local garden centres. eBay is a fabulous source for napkins and rice papers. If you search decoupage napkins on eBay you should find plenty and many are sold in packs of 4. I hope that helps 💕
Love your videos. Question- when I glue doilies or lace some of it seeps out and even though it dries clear, it is shiny. Know of anyway to remove or lessen the shine? I am doing better not to add too much glue, but some laces won't stay stuck without a certain amount. 😃
Sorry for the late reply. Having been using the Art Glitter Glue for a few weeks now, I would definitely recommend it for something like this. It is incredibly strong, dries quickly and with the metal fine nozzle it’s easy to apply a very small amount. I hope that helps 💕
You are so inspiring. Very interested in the make up brush from Amazon. Tried doing a quick search (Amazon- US) and couldn't locate any with the foam.....could you share where on Amazon that you found it, please.
Hi Nina, I really like everything that you do, but I find it a bit hard to understand why everything has to have inked edges. Of course I understand that it is to make things look vintage, but do they have to look vintage to be beautiful?
