Cole Hauser and Cynthia Daniel prioritize family time with their three kids.
Hauser and Daniel, who began dating in the 1990s and wed in 2006, have welcomed three children in their over 25 years together: sons Ryland and Colt and daughter Steely Rose.
Though the couple offer fans a glimpse into their family life on social media, they seldom discuss their children in interviews. While speaking to The Havok Journal in July 2022, the Yellowstone star gave rare comments about his family, sharing insight into how he balances his professional career and personal life as an actor.
“I am pretty good about compartmentalizing working and family. They are two of my biggest passions,” he explained. “I am not the kind of guy who forgets about them. I am always making time for each and every one of my children and also my wife, also, as a family together. I am good about making time for the whole family.”
He added, “You have to figure that balance out. But as a father and a husband you have to make the time and work just as hard at it.”
This balance came into practice while he was filming the fourth season of Yellowstone on location during the COVID-19 pandemic. He told PEOPLE in November 2020 that he saw that period as a lesson in “how important it is to take advantage of family.”
It's been a little rough over the last couple of years just because I'm away for five months at a time,” he said, explaining how his family copes when he is away from home. “It's not easy to parent from afar. Steely is an absolute pistol, and they're great boys. When I'm away they kind of take over, making sure that mom and Steely are watched over. That's how I raised them and I'm proud of them for that."

Ryland Hauser, 19
Hauser and Daniel welcomed their first child, son Ryland, on Sept. 20, 2004.
He attended his first three years of high school at Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village, California, before his family made the cross-country move to Florida in the summer of 2022, ahead of his senior year of high school. Throughout high school, Ryland was a student-athlete who played football in several positions, including tight end, wide receiver and defensive end.
In May 2023, Ryland graduated from Jensen Beach High School, a feat Daniel celebrated on social media.
She wrote in part, “Moving cross country your junior year wasn’t easy, but you turned this challenge into a victory.”
At the beginning of his senior year of high school, Ryland had several offers to play football at various colleges, including Warner University, Mississippi State University and the University of Northern Alabama
