And if you watch other kdramas from this era you'd see that they're actually sublime. they have less than 10 hugs, most of them in the last 10 episodes but their hugs are very genuine and intimate. they pull each other very hard while hugging, which is rare even in Hollywood. I got really curious myself and compared it to some of the most intimate tv couple I have seen and I would definitely rate them in top 5 percent.

Yeah! My family can’t speak Korean so I don’t know how we got the CD’s, but my family ended up watching an episode every night! I’m currently rewatching it for myself :)

I swear ji jin hee is a legend... He starred in dong yi and in jewel in the palace, two of the most iconic and best kdrama of all time (in my opinion) 🤩
@@maryjc1805 The story lines are somehow different but Dong yi features some of the actors from Jewel in the palace. Between the two, I personally have struggled with which is my favorite.

Ji Jin hee in a hanbok and especially in his archery outfit....I mean....I obviously watch Dae Jang Geum for Jang Geum's story and of her badass-ness and honestly I watch during my low times because it helps seeing someone not give up even though the world seems to be against you, BUT....i pause the scenes when ji jin hee comes out because dang~
Even though ji jin hee portrays as a king in dong yi, i still see him as min jung ho. You can feel their love and how they fall in love with each other little by little without in need of kissing scene. The elopment scene is so memorable.
Agree the chemistry between these two is UNMATCHED they will always be Jang Geum and Min Jung Ho.No matter how many great projects they do,this will always be their best work.Lee Young Ae and Ji Jin Hee make magic together.
Jewel in the palace is such a great and a masterpiece drama. Every episodes are super exiting. Then the character of Jang Geum in the drama, is really impressive. I can't say anything about this drama.

All jinhee's drama that I watched are d best so far, I'm currently watching "blood" and his d coolest, handsome villain I ever seen. He is really great actor, drama, comedy, villain, he can portrait the characters perfectly

My very first drama when I was just about 5 or 6 years old...I remember this show comes on dd national at 8:30 and I got to sleep but my mother used to make me get up and make me watch this show as this is my favourite show and I don't want to miss a single episode as after watching this I somehow started behaving like her 😂...my interest in kitchen starts watching this... I have watched many other k dramas but this one is the best ❤.....
