No matter what anyone says, this channel and this particular series is perfect for beginners to learn and understand the game. This guy does a great job with explaining the fundamentals and strategies simply enough for beginners to grasp.
Yea i find these to be incredibly useful in just seeing the path forward, getting idea of what it will take. Some people seem to forget they get their rating points back, and think it’s sandbagging.
This serious is amazing. Your teaching style is so calming and informative and your respect for opponents and composure I look up to. Thank you for this series
I love your reminders to get up and stretch/walk around and have been putting them into practice! Just really sorry it took a blood clot and/or gout to make some of us realise how long we sit without moving. (^-^;) I hope you continue getting better!
@420 Cozmoz Don't know if you'll ever see this, but if you're 2200 in puzzles and 1200 in rating, it does mean you can get higher rating. The trick would be if you could actually get to 2200 WITHOUT EVER MAKING A MISTAKE. Then it means you're rating could be much higher. But how far in the puzzles can you get without a mistake?
But also don't spend too much time getting health info from a Google search. Everything there is largely inaccurate and tends to tell you you're dying.
Anarchy Chess calls that position at the 20 minute mark "The Anakin Skywalker Attack, King's Pawn Variation". Standard is to get to that position from a Queen's Pawn opening. Both are called The Anakin Skywalker Attack because they're tailor designed to aggressively attack KID players. You trade off their strong bishop, castle opposite sides, and throw your pawns at them. Very very aggressive, and it puts KID players into a play style that they're usually not used to.
In the second game when you castled it was a blunder because Black's bishop can take your Knight attacking your queen and leaving your bishop undefended. If you take back with the queen his queen can take your queen and then take the undefended bishop next move
@@Deadeye1967 you mean the italian two knights? if the fried liver is an attack then my favorite opening is guioco piano main line i play it as both black and white

32:05 I wonder about ... Qb6, setting up a discovered attack instead.

The respect for opponents is a big one, something a lot of other content creators in the chess community overlook
Man thanks. Ur videos help sooooo much.

The "whats the best color? Blue, or red?" reply caught me by surprise 😅
1700 is where things get real on a chess board
37:58 it's blue.
Loving the videos and hope you're doing well with your health situation ! :)
You should get an ultrasound to check for DVT "deep vein thrombosis" due to covid. It can be fatal if not caught in time. I hope you are doing well.

Are you gojng to finish boby fisherman story?
I'm pretty sure you forgot to update second to last game win. Should be 188, I may be wrong

You know, the knight on e2 can recapture, no?
For the person who asked about openings as a 900, learning and advancing in the London and KID systems will get you far and teach you many things. 👍
Against e4, Scandinavian is also great opening under 1200 and easy to learn. London, KID and Scandi cover great number of games.
hi , can you tell me what KID means?

Question whats your favorite opening i like the fried liver
I like the baked kidney
@@leolimitedition I prefer the grilled appendix
Fried Liver is an attack not and opening really, its a variation of 4 knights defense, don't worry though just carry on.

Why did you say, E-L-O, as if it is an acronym? It's someone's name.
Maybe they don’t teach that piece of information in the USCF system
