nice vid!!!! its weird to see the deluxes cancelled, maybe is because the packiging needs more plastic to hold the car... because internationally the deluxe line always arrives first, or at least is easier to export
You guys did a nice job with this. While there were a couple moments where the editing was a bit too frozen, just showing the thumbnail for a while, it was nice to look back on the Deluxe line and see how it has "come full circle," which I didn't even realize until now, but yeah. The Red and Stanley 2 pack we have today is like where we were at the beginning, just slightly different. Hopefully deluxes will return someday if some big new Cars release justifies it. A real shame it started to sputter out in like 2020 and leave right before OTR came out, because there are still plenty of Maters with hats and other oversized cars I still wanna see get made.
i think they are doing it correctly, like putting them in multipacks or in 2 packs with a smaller car. But i think it would benefit 5 packs too (maybe making it a 4 pack and the big car replaces 2 regular ones), as most of the recent 5 packs are just the same repeated cars from the singles.
@@RayoMcQueen95990 Agreed I'm sure some deluxes could fit in 5 packs, maybe not Doug R.M. or The Popemobile but I could totally see an RSN 5 Pack with Brian Fee Clamp being a thing
@@eduardoaguero1220 agreed, there’s to many of that radiator springs sets at Walmart, if a character got replaced by Red or Mack it would probably sell a bit better
Here from the original upload Aqua did a good job with this ep! I hope the deluxe line situation gets figured out because of the whole fact most major releases kinda need to be deluxes.
Personally, I feel like the deluxe line was hardly ever used properly towards the end. Things like Mater variants or Rosco did not deserve to be deluxes the way characters like Stu Scattershields did. Now with the death of the line, the release of characters like Miss Fritter or new characters like the garbage truck or Captain Longlegs is uncertain.
The deluxe line was always a little scummy with the way it treated characters just barely bigger than a normal single as a deluxe. It makes me interested to see what will be considered deluxes once the deluxe line comes back
I hope Mattel learns from their mistakes and only does like, actually larger characters and not stuff like mater the greater being a single but previously cannonball mater as a deluxe@@ttoyreviewsty

It’s good to cut down on plastic, but I don’t think they’d cancel an entire line because of it...

Same, brother. I was confused at first when I realized I couldn't return to video after watching it before realizing it was originally deleted.
Yeah, had to delete the original upload, some texts from my dad showed up in the screen recording lol
Great vid. Very informative. Thanks 🌜👍
Ay, it’s Aqua!
