The sabbath is listed in Leviticus 23 at the beginning of all the feasts. 'And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 'Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'The feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts. Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation......' Then all the other feasts are listed. Jesus fulfilled all the Law and the Prophets - all the feasts, including the weekly sabbath, which was given to Israel and was to be a sign between God and His people (Ezekiel 20:20). The decalogue is described as the words of the Mosaic covenant. That Jesus is now our rest is brought out clearly in Hebrews 4. 'There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His." Heb. 4:9, 10. Christians worship on Sundays because it was on the 1st day that Christ rose from the dead and inaugurating the new creation. 'Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). It is not about a day, it is about a Person! The seal of God is not the Sabbath, it is the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13)
Amen!
Praised God 🙏
