the only difference i know is that rapture gives the ball way more curve at a faster pace than rage which can become really unpredictable if you're not ready

you can curve with raging deflection too by being in shiftlock and have camera on ground

The thing about rapture is that whenever someone uses it, you could easily counter it if you know the timing. For deflect, it’s harder because usually you can’t click right when someone uses it. You need to see the ball for a perfect counter, and if used correctly it can potentially put rapture down. Most people that have rapture just use it every time there’s a chance, considering the cooldown difference between max deflect and rapture.
And if you think about it, at max (with rapture) you can only get 1 kill per minute (if you manage to successfully) because rapture’s cooldown is roughly 3/4 of a minute.
For deflect at max, you could get exactly 2 kills within a minute if you manage to successfully. As stated in the video, its cooldown is 30 seconds (1/2) of a minute.
Even though rapture is faster, it’s way easier to counter. And still, it’s impossible to get more than 1 kill in a minute using rapture. Raging has a higher chance of winning because it’s possible to get 2 kills within the span of a minute.
In conclusion, they’re both extremely useful in their own ways. But in my opinion, raging deflect at max takes the W for wins and kills. They’re both equal in versatility though. They’re both inconsistent for clashes, but can be useful in stand-off and normal gameplay when everyone is alive.

@@kevinwang4407 Yeah. It's replicable but not ideal, as the curving slows it down, which is why I solely believe that raptures facet with the curve was rushed.

I'm a rage main and I just packed rapture with the wheel so this video was exactly what I needed
The reason rapture went faster is because the uptilt, uptilt raging to the max and it’ll go faster
Not really, the curve forced the ball to go against the momentum kind of, because from what I've seen the curve makes it a lot slower.
I did a curve test with max RD as well with my inexperienced friend, I had him counter normal RD and curved RD, he was able to counter the curve with ease, whereas the normal version caught him off guard.
Keep in mind he was new and inexperienced.
in my opinion rapture is better then rage, the only difference is that rapture is based on luck on the wheel and for rage u js gotta grind. they are both really good

I usually use raging deflect instead, they both get people off guard but it has a way slower cooldown and makes it even faster than rapture when the ball is going faster

Agreed, he takes criticism properly. Most people on social media nowadays act like it's impossible to hear.
And the speed is kind of its downfall because since it’s so fast, you can just click right when they use it without having to see where the ball is. And number 4 was kind of biased, and it doesn’t really affect the ability in any way.
actually curve honestly goes to raging deflect as if u look up even while blocking the ball normally it will shoot it upwards

Raptures upward slash makes it slower than raging when the ball is fast and rapture isnt really that hard to block but for mobile players its almost an instant death also raptures upward slash makes it deadly for people who are above ground but it depends on skill afterall and on luck too.

No, no, not really. Since for mobile it takes the parry a little longer to register, mobile players use that to their advantage and click early, and still perfectly counter. Not to mention if you’re not careful, you could still kill yourself with rapture if you get countered.
Raging is way better. The cooldown matters alot + just aim it upwards

I got rapture from the daily spins, still kinda shocked cause it’s a 2%, then got 2 cresandos in a row today (with daily free spins)
edit: I did only like 5-6 daily spins then got rapture
raging deflect has like 10 seconds of cooldown if you max it out. Plus, it doesnt go up, it looks like a normal hit, which will catch your enemies off guard!
the problem is if you the oppenent your fighting is expirienced its not going to effect them because they can clearly see the ball going to them while rapture is faster and also curves which could confuse your enemy enormously

While -rapture at home- raging deflection is obviously weaker, it has shorter cooldown, and can be purchased with coins, thus making it more f2p friendly.

Uhm actually 🤓 raging deflect is better, bc rapture has a curve, sure, but raging deflect has a more useable CD, also it speeds the ball more, and hard to identify because you can hit it forward, being identified by the opponent as a basic block

I just started Blade Ball yesterday, so I use a spin for free and I got rapture... But I thought it was normal but when other know that I have rapture people start "Being Kind" to me. Im trying to get the Void Sword but i use DragonSlayer Sword. And the rapture ability is like so powerful.

rage is for the pros tbh, u can curve it slightly urselves to make it faster and can be less predictable.
NO actually in the speed test they are both same but you just hit rapture first I can see so both is same speed.
I think if rapture doesn't curve like that it will be much stronger because when the ball curve, players have enough time to see and parry it

Tbh ive been using this ability for a while and ive gotten a lot of kills because they don't expect the ball to be faster or they just have a slow reaction time.

imma be 100 with you I cant agree with animation that easy and you can aim anywhere with raging deflect so if "curved" is a point just look up and use rage
i know that rapture is better than raging, but rapture is limited and luck to get it. but rapture has 2 bad things about it, 1st is the cooldown, 2nd is that if somebody manages to hit the raptured ball back at you, theres a 50+% chance you will die. raging has nothing bad.

The point that ppl dont understand that you have to spin the wheel ALOT of times which is 3k per spin and raging deflect is just 4k and you dont need to spin the wheel for it

My opinion rating is better cuz you can actually CURVE RAGING SOUNDS CRAZING BUT I AINT JOKING TRY IT YOURSELF YOU CAN MAKE RAPTURE AT HOME WITH RAGING PLUS THE LOWER COOLDOWN
The last thing that anger gains is that if someone retaliates against the rapture, the guy who used the rapture will not be able to retaliate so easily.

Raging deflection is just better.
Rapture cooldown is too long and you can barely use it twice every game and when you make use of both of them if you use raging deflection the right time it is as hard as countering rapture.

@@notWexo its just for example that i upgraded dash all the way up. and it got worse, gameplay wise. its better to not upgrade dash at all.
and as u cant downgrade them again, i was wondering if upgrading other abilites is maybe also not worth it

I like playing how you do. I usually use raging deflect,rapture for starting the speed of the ball. For pushing i really would use shadow step and thunder they are really op
@@notWexo why shadow step? So many people have recommended it but I havent seen this ability much and dont know how to use it correctly. And is it a good idea to use raging deflect when we are already close to suddenly increase the speed even more?
@@DeaV2 Shadow step is really good for a quick attack on players it lasts for a while and you can spam in its ability and push. Raging is good when it’s high speeds WHEN mid range not close

The speed test might have been rigged because different maps have diffrent sizes and animation is subjective😅
